Haha, bluemax and commando were the tape games I remember best, 15 mins loading time though...and people are complaining now about having to pause a few secs between GT4 screens, shesh!!!

He's being playing too much GT4 to think he can pull handbrake hairpins like that
  4. Which bottle says what, that Palmolive takes the wax off cars??? Is a good hand cleaner, should keep a bottle in the garage just in case...Paul, you stick to Mothers, I see your bonnet was the only clean part of your car...but I guess that's the only part you need to clean as it's all you see when you're driving...you're not Scottish are you???

Have a 3.25 and am contemplating whether to use a 3.64 or 3.91 next...it's all going to happen at the same time, diff and clutch...

Shite day here in Welly, the fog hasn't lifted yet although there's the air of peacefulness about, i'm feeling rather relaxed...anyone here going to go?
  7. I thought you ditched you bitch for the weight gains??? I did My road code which is now getting on 15 years old said alot of things that were meant to be guidelines but have now become laws in recent years with particular attention to the roundabout and drafting guides which can into law just recently. I like the German system, you can argue out of infringements if there are valid reasons but hate the american system where it's the lawyers who reap the benefits and the cops beat you up if you're black. A demerit point for each beating?

Yeah, Stunts ownd, Indy 500 was the sh*t...Gauntlet we still have, my brother in Chch rigged up a pc to an old arcade machine (2 joys, 3 buttons per joy) and is running an arcade game emulator to run thousands of those old classics, P41, Gauntlet, Golden Axe, Street Fighter, Moonwalker, Space Invaders, Centrepede, Tetris, you name it...they wear out quick though
  9. My understanding was that the softwash gel was meant for cleaning without removing any of the layers of polish or wax!!! Nice n shiney though :thumb:

You guys were ahead of me at the bottom and I wasn't much further than that at the top as I saw both of you blow out massive plumes of smoke as soon as you both let off the gas...I thought that wasn't half bad to keep up considering the speeds we were pushing up that hill. Makes sense that you weren't pulling away from me like I thought you should've considering your flywheel and Dan's auto... twould be a different story next time round though now that both of you have blown out the filth from your engines and you'll have sorted out your flywheel weights while Dan will have a manual

Rolls-Royce and Mid-West have licenses to produce Wankel-rotary aircraft engines and interestingly hovercraft engines. The US Moller company produced rotary powered lightplanes and hoverplanes. Grant already stated the Curtis-Wright company. Now get back on topic before Sic sticks it to ya!

Bring back Test Drive I say, that had the best playability of any car game for it's time. You could take different car routes, go offroad in an effort to find short cuts, drive at night, put your window wipers on esp. to clear off the bugs, dodge cops or get ticketed, etc... Before that there was just blocky gfx grand prix and nfs... Slightly OT, but am I like the hardest (perhaps oldest) geek here or has anyone else here played some of the older long running series games such as M&M (1-10), Heroes of M&M (1-4), Doom (1-3), EOB (1-4), TES (1-3+), Bards Tale (1-4?), Civilisation, Art of War, NFS....... Just trying to remember all those old PC classics...so many over the years...just trying to think which game for it's time had the best playability, not gfx, but game play...

How much do you want to spend. I'm investigating all this at the mo as i'm going to redo my g/box very shortly. My plan of attack will be to shave off only a few pounds from the flywheel and to uprate the springs on the pressure plate. I already have a brand new clutch plate which i'm told is perfect as the stock clutch plate is very durable. Would be nice if someone had a link to an E30 forum where people have experimented with different weighted flywheels...or let Gus experiment for us???
  15. I ain't no nana driver, if you read between the lines you'd have understood that the reason you're getting points is for doing something wrong, like getting caught.I'm an advocate from driving at 5kph more than the limit and overtaking at speeds necessary for safe overtaking. People who hold up traffic are arse, but it's the drivers that can't handle a bit of patience that are the true menace. I like the current add on tv with the time bomb, it is the impatient drivers that take risks, just mellow out and bide your time. But, as Tim says, it ain't illegal if they don't catch you....so don't get caught 0 points :finger:

Yes, there were a few airlines that made rotary engines, but it was more to the fact that they're lighter and if made correctly are alot more reliable than any piston engine and i'm assuming in theory that air cooled rotaries would be quite efficient when flying at altitude...
  17. Really, you like to read bullshit???Do you eat weaties for breakfast too??? I prefer men's magazines Personally, if you've got demerit points then you're obviously doing something wrong, go the whiteninja styles I say. It's not illegal if you don't get caught
  18. Yes they are, don't be silly, Ali couldn't drive to save himself...don't you remember his pedestrian incident
  19. rice boy Sakata boy0 points, never been ticketed...a few close calls though...

Fast reving comes at the price of torqueToo lite and you get no acceleration up an incline, which is what Grant was talking about when he said he had trouble keeping up with Dan in his auto up the biggest damn mountain on SH1 just north of Mangaweka. Even I was keeping up with Grant's 325 up that hill so that's saying something I think 12lbs was too much, makes it very easy to stall aswell if you uprate the pressure plate and clutch in tandem. I'm going to lighten up my flywheel but was thinking more towards only a few pounds, poor B20 may not like a super lite flywheel but fast reving is badassnessextremeness

Sic won't shut it down if you relate it...see below A single rotor rotary matches a 4 cylinder 4-stroke engine for having 1 combustion occuring at any given point. Double the rotors and you get a V8, triple rotor and you get a V12 equivalent... To go on, the beauty is that the output shaft is rotating at 3x the actual rotation of the rotors unlike the 1 to 1 crankshaft in a 4 stroke. Power output is smoother and more constant and there's bugger all moving parts...a rotor and an output shaft... But as stated before the downside is the rotary sucks at thermodynamics so they use alot of fuel...much like a 750i or any american vehicle for that matter How this relates is because the lighter the flywheel the easier it is for an engine to accelerate...however, there are so many factors which reduce this it's not funny. E: The 1992 13B twin rotor from the RX7 produces 255bhp @ 6500rpm, capacity is 654cc x 2 = 1308cc. For racing the coefficient is a 1.8x multiplier so the 1308 is effectively a 2.3, the turbo coefficient is 1.7, not sure if that makes the 13B turbo a 4.0 or not, but they use as much gas as one E2: Actually, the reason why there is a 1.8x coefficient multiplier is that each rotor chamber actually contains 3 separate chambers (piston-like) so a 654cc rotor has the equivalent capacity of 1962cc (assuming capacity is the measurement of a full piston intake). Makes sense then that a 13B twin rotor has equiv capacity of 654x2x3 = 3924cc...probably why it uses so much gas

    FINES...?

I ain't ever had a demerit point and i'm not about to start accumulating them for fun either. My mum has more demerit points than I do and she's a nanna so that's kinda interesting... I think Jamahl at one stage was very close to exceeding the allowable dose of points
