  1. Any car will beneift from being allowed to breath, ie, increasing intake airflow and exhaust flow regardless in charged or not. Question is whether the pod filter in tandem with heat shield is worth the effort or not. I'm using a panel filter at the mo, can't say I would bother with anything else, i'm happy with it.

    NZ Super Car

Cheers for the link...can't say I like the look of the sketched design but the concept of having a 450HP BMW V8 in a car weighing 1175kgs sounds tits!
  3. Have a look at this news item Hulme Super Car Has anyone heard of this??? Interestingly it is being powered by a modified BMW M5 V8 engine...consider it, a carbon fibre hand build car powered by a modified M5 V8, just think of the power to weight ratio!!! To be unveiled in Wellington to, just might have to go have a nosy

To extend upon my original pimping theory about women (for those that remember - the three states of maintenance :pimp: ) a. A woman's cost is directly proportional to her maintenance factor (see original theory on maintenance) b. Women ONLY cost as much money as you're willing to spend on them i. Tim is an exclusion to b. since regardless how much he spends on a girl the truth will inevitably set her free.

    Tyre Choice

The asymetrical tyres mean they can only go on ONE SIDE of the car due to the tread pattern, so you have two left sides and two right side tyres. (E: Hehe, ya beat me James)I'm about to stick Dunlop Direzza's on my E30 thanks to Jimocles working for South Pacific tyres, will let you know my thoughts E2: If anyone is interestid in joining in, i'm getting them stuck on this saturday then going for a test DRIVE around the good driving roads to see how they feel...

    better than gt4

I have just gone out and bought a new psx2 slimline and gt4 game. I haven't played gt since the 2nd installment back in the days when the psx was king so I believe i've waited long enough. Not hard out enough to warrant a steering wheel + pedals just yet, am lucky the girl is off in Wangavegas this weekend....48 hours of GT4....
  10. It'll suck in hot air and won't give you any gains unless you also add a CAI kit/box/thingee so that it sucks in cooler air.Easiest thing to do is replace the stock filter with the K&N flat panel one.
  11. Huh??? 320i's aren't THAT slow, it's obvious that the person behind the wheel makes a difference when determining how fast a car is I'm running a bloody anti-acceleration diff ratio (3.25) and I still get some reasonable acceleration AND that's with the power steering and a/c hooked up sapping my horsies. It's true that 320i's suffer from sad power to weight ratios given that the 320i and 325i share the same M20 block but they've still got something there when you need it...you just need to be in the higher rev band (4k and up) to notice it
  12. There ain't nothing wrong with reving a cold car so long as it's been lubricated :pimp:
  13. Insurance is a necessity. Not only is it peace of mind having it, it's also very useful for not having to handle getting things done. Who cares if you're the world's best driver, the fact is, if you get hit by an uninsured driver and you have no insurance yourself then you're f**ked. At least if you have insurance your company will fix your car and chase up the other driver for compo meaning you don't have to drive around for months while you and the 'other' party try to sort out getting it fixed. Not to mention fire or theft, if you car gets stolen and burnt, the police aren't going to do jack in the ways of replacing your car.

    Is Jacko Going Down?

The current case strikes me as harassment since there's history of the alledged victim's family trying to extort money from various tv shows, however, Whacko Jacko is a very strange person who is not like you or I and this case is going to bring him down regardless of the verdict because the sh*t that he gets up to in that ranch is going to be plastered all over the media worldwide. My money is on his recording days are over and his wealth severely dented when you consider what the legal costs are going to be.
  15. Depends on the year, if you've got the vanos engine then it'll have considerably more poke than the M20B20. Q: The early E36 (pre-vanos) are considerably heavier than the E30's, are their power to weight ratios better or worse, that's what i'd like to know.

Study? More like the traffic usage wasn't being monitored, I could've sworn there were some people whoring it up during those months

    boot spoiler

If you're truly interested there will be some copies being made in the not so distant future otherwise keep a watch on the tardme site
  18. Yes, debadging especially when you have the bits there such as the kit or the wheels. If you want to stick a badge on use one that is obviously wrong, like a W/// for winner, or a STI or NISMO. Stay away from Mugen though, that'd just be gay. Grant, sticking an mtech kit on your car is a personal choice, if it looks good then why not. The front spoiler and rear wing are the most important...

    Help!!

316i manuals are okay for a little run-a-bout, 318i manuals are much better though. If it's in good condition and you keep it in good condition then it should be a good value car.
  21. You could always pull the whole tree thing...trees are more powerful than a rock (roots and all) but are susceptible to cutting implements such as chainsaws Perhaps change the game to tree, saw, rock? Ellie should change her ride to 'Angry cowboy'

    Pod filter on 318

They are designed with performance in mind but the end user doesn't get the performance-in-mind results as Ali has stated. Why would they sell cars with performance filters when that's just an additional cost they can save on by using mass produced replaceable filters.Economy of scale my friend

    my beach basher

Nice, plenty of room for some bigger brakes in there :thumb:
  24. What an idiot, he'd get alot more dough were he to sell some of the parts individually...
