  1. Come on bro, before asking such a question you should really looking in the FAQ's topic group. Let your fingers do the clicking
  2. Contractual law may override this though, I mean, if you sign up to a warranty which specifically states that any modifcation outside allowable whatevers then the warranty provider can void it. Insurance companies are similar, if you modify a car in any way that is stipulated in the agreement (without telling them) they won't payout even ifit didn't contribute towards the cause. Obviously you know full well then that you're voiding the contract by altering the car.
  3. True, replay shots are generally more graphically detailed, i'd like to see a screen shot if at all possible to gauge its detail - but then if it's even a slight improvement on GT3 with additional tracks and cars then it's gotta be all good. I hope they introduce car damage and body shops, make it more realistic, there's nothing like the original GT using the MitsiGTO twin turbo pumping out 900hp and just flying around the Special stage 5 track by rubbing up against the outside armco barriers Hmmm, would be cool if you could choose E30's, would be interesting to see what the wheel options look like
  4. F1 technology is where it's at, that's the driving force behind car manufacturer's producing better engines and technologies that eventually filter into road cars albeit dumbed down a little. Paul, motor gp is really fun to watch, I was glued last year when Valentino switched bikes, he truly is the best rider which he proved by switching to the lesser powered Yamaha, now there was some good entertainment as the riders chop and change leadership so quickly. Also, you get some really spectacular crashes and near misses on the bikes, like the guy that power wobbled, fell off, managed to hold onto the handels and somehow get back onto the bike just in time for the next corner, all class Sam, good point about BMW and Sauber, will be interesting to see if they do make some crazy as engines, but do Sauber have the drivers to unleash their potential???
  5. Of course it's a complete fake, that's the whole point, i'm just whoring it up because Alpina has the coolest looking logo. One look and you can tell it's a momo, it's not like i'm hiding that fact, if it makes you feel better i'll change the logo so it says RIPOFF Actually, this is more like sticking Alpina badges on a car fitted with an AC Schnitzer bodykit, see what i'm getting at now :pimp: Am thinking the Alpina wheel roundels will be pimping :mosh:
  6. I've done exactly what Brent did, expect I did it to the steering wheel rondel, and yes I replaced the momo roundel with an Alpina one similar to the picture above. I used that picture but photochopped it heavily so that I could get the resolution up to 1200dpi and made it extremely detailed so when I printed it at 1200dpi it looks the shizzle. Just used kodak gloss photo paper. The thing is it will fade in time, but at $0.25 a piece of paper it's extremely cheap and easy to replace I will post a photo if you like And Grant, it's and Alpina wheel....now
  7. The rally one is easy, it is an open book test, it is as good as impossible to fail.Cheers I know someone who failed the rally license, passed the written test for the motorsport one though, so I don't think it's that easy.
  8. I've done a similar mod except I used the Alpina logo since that's the styliest logo of them all and I did it to my steering wheel, looks tits, think i'll to find other parts to plaguerise...perhaps do this to my wheels too... E: Alpina is the shizzle!
  9. Who here can't help but watch the rally car in that trush add, you know the one chaps, the chick is about to start talking about something women'ish then says this is for the lads and a little rally car pops up, can't take my eyes off it. Rally NZ is the best, rally anywhere is the best, now you've got to have some balls to be that good. Not quite comparable to track racing in that it's a completely different set of skills but rally has got to be harder to do. Interestingly, I found out from Ian yesterday that sitting the NZ Motorsport license takes half the time as sitting the Rally one and is considerably easier, would be interesting to know what's involved in rally licensing...why is it so much harder???

    water or coke????

Aged whiskey neat, it's the only way you can do it. Imitation whiskey (bourbon) has to be decompositioned with coke, but it's your life, you do what you want. I wouldn't mind trying some of the original coke, the recipe containing coca plant extract, that would be interesting
  11. BOAT !Thats harsh ....snip.... Its quite amazing the difference a decent amount of weight makes. How much do you boys come in at anyway ? I may have 289bhp but with almost 2 tonne to pull around Im not going to be winning any 0-60 times ! I though "Boat" was being polite as they are normally known as "Barges", much more derogatory I'd say. I'd say the E30 would be ~1250kg, Andrew's is sub 1100kg I think?? What does a 750iL weigh? 2200kg? Barge sorry M, barge is funny E30's stock are 1280kgs - The coupe is lighter than the 4door (yes the coupe is lighter, it's in the f**king owners manual) which is only a 20kg difference. Yes Sam, I do need a rear wing, anyone got a spare mtech2 wing floating about??? Perhaps we should simply have a spreadsheet sitting in a sticky thread containing all our records??? Stick the gear ratio s/s in there aswell
  12. F1 has become the most boring motorsport on tele, it's a farce. If that were true Ferrari should have gotten a bad name because Ferrari currently supply Sauber with their engines (although I believe previous season engines???) I don't think BMW will suffer any more than they currently do with their rather lacklustre performance.2c.

    E30 323i Parts

Doors are both available (to my knowledge) but they don't come with the window mechanisms as someone's pawned them already (to my knowledge) so if you're interested in the doors minus mechanisms then PM Hartage
  14. Yes, but only 325i's, 323i's, and 318is's came with rear sway bars, I dont have one...yet At 200kph it's not the shakes (thanks to the konis) that's the problem, it's the damn lofty rear-end feeling from not having a rear swaybar or rear wing!!!

    Fuel Economy

Economy slut :finger: What's the E30 323 doing???
  16. Yes and no!!! There's a big difference between an autobahn and a NZ highway for a start. Stock bimmers (let's exclude 325i's and 318is's for a sec here) aren't setup for those speeds (200kph+), but the car itself is fully capable of being setup to do so. There's a few things that the 325i and 318is have that the rest of the E30's don't have that give them more stability, like the larger shocks and anti-sway bars etc... E: I suggest you try a stock E30 323 out in comparison to yours, I think you'll find there is a few differences
  17. I can see what i'm buying myself next, was planning on getting a GeForce FX 6800 but the PS/2 appears to be the go instead
  18. Yes, bigger cars seem to be more stable, that's on the theory that small cars are less stable since when I drove my VW Polo between Hamburg and Bremen on the A7 with it red-lining at 180kph it was like riding an old wooden roller-coaster - all the while big mercs, audis, and bimmers were dashing passed me

    Fuel Economy

    Hehehe 1990 E30 320iA Manual 1280 kms off 100 litres 12.8 km/l ~ 34 mpg E: It's currently running 3.25 ratio diff, very economical
  20. pussy its just minor speed wobbles not like your gonna die or anything hitting a tree Yes, bimmer's aren't the most stable cars over 200kph, however, it would be nice to test that again with a full body+spoiler kit added.E: Glenn, that goes for you too
  21. [cue music]Get a haircut and get a real job[/cue music] In truth, at some stage you need to enlist help from a professional. You CAN cut your own hair or leave it, but chances are that at some point you'll need it fixed by a hair-dresser otherwise you'll end up like Gus and have to pull yourself. You could fix your own car, but you have to learn how to do it from somewhere, just like professionals learn from an institution. This thread is dead, someone lockizzle it
  22. In regards to the top speed, someone find a massive stretch of private road and lets get serial!!!Would open up a can of worms though in regards to how to group cars by engine capacity, with charger multipliers of course...intermarque rates chargers as 1.7x multiplier and rotaries with 1.8x multiplier OT: Pornstar weekend is in order me thinks, Tim, you want to come down too since you're the resident meet slut?
  23. TMI As for the running out of gas, CaM is right, maybe in the old days you'd get sh*t at the bottom of the tank, but that's why we have fuel filters, the sh*t gets filtered out all the time. JD (intermarue) run his car dry to see how much distance it can do, poured in his reserve and away it went
  24. I'm all for this, bloody good idea Glenn, i'm sure there's some good forums/sites we can porn it off... Perhaps we could even then implement this as part of the "Members Only" idea that everyone loves to discuss and cream over... I'm just really liking the fact that my car currently has a theoretical top end of 307kph :pimp:
