Ouch.. im running 205's on 9" on the rear and the same on 8" at the front now u guys say this is just something ull get done for at warrent time? or is it something u can get pulled over for and ticketed?? Cheers

Dam, just went and re-measured and yea ur rite its not 5x120 its 4 and 5x100.. there goes my plan cheers anyway guys

just a question about the swap ( didnt wana start a new post ).. the rims on my e30 now are both 4x100 and 5x120 and im running 5mm spacers in the rear but would prefer them to be out a touch more.. Can anyone tell me how much extra width the e36 318ti rear subframe gives, if any? as i thought if it does give a decent amount of extra width i would just run the 5 stud on the back and leave the front 4 stud for now as they sit nicely already. haha yea i know the owner, and i did his engine conversion... and yes i have told him a few times it is fairly over priced, but he aparently has been getting a few offers so i dont blame him if he can get a good price for it. but concidering i brought a genuine m325i for 6800 it is a lil on the high side.

Got the mock up shell, engine, gearbox and all the other peices down to the mechanics and left it with them. went down today to talk to them about what to do. The plan is to get some standard m30 engine mounts and put them on with the engine in the 'bay, see where they sit and if they are close to the rubber mounts we will look at modifiying the cross member to change the possition of the rubber mounts so we can use the standard steel mounts (which should be easier than welding up custom ones). will get some pics of the engine hopefully getting shoehorned into the engine bay next week.

cheers for the comments guys, always love to hear what ppl think.. its taken me alot of money and 6 previous e30s to get to this one but it is by far my favorite. e38king it would be awsum to see some previous pics of the wheels if u can find them. are u the guy i brought them off? or a previous owner? also an update (if u could call it one) the engine and mock up shell will be going to the workshop this wednesday - fingers crossed - to get the mounts made up... it keeps getting postponed so hopefully this will be the week!

actually just found out that Seiken also known as NKB make kits and stuff for BMWs so they cant be too bad

The wheels are Seiken NK's or something there similar to the OZ rims ive seen on e30/36 but the spokes are abit more squarish which suits the e30 quite well.

bbs- the bushes are being imported from the uk the pic was taken on a side street off Pit street in Auckland city. and cheers for the comments guys, im so far pretty happy with the results, now just cant wait to drop the 3.5ltr beast in the 'bay.

Update! Progress has been slow to say the least.. now that im back at uni ive had very little time to get things done. but over the last few weeks i have basically put the engine back togeather all ready to be taken down to get the engine mounts welded up (finally!) so that will be late this week or early next. as for the car, it has been lowered on some un-known springs (which makes me a bit nevous) but it seems to ride nice and it sits about perfect... so they will do for now. my best guess would be Jamex but im not 100% i have also brought some rims as the 15's were just a bit small. they are 17x9 at the rear and 17x8 at the front. ive also had to have custom 10mm spacers made at the front and 5mm at the back. i am also in the process of ordering solid bushes for the rear subframe. i have gone for all solid except the main subframe bushes, in the hope that the solids will stiffen it all up but the rubber bushes will still reduce road vibration through to the chassis...? anyway here are some pics of the car with the rims, let me know what u think. cheers

need these sold gud condition no brake discs no springs shocks are there but unsure of condition will come with top mounts and spring pads i have got a set of standard e30 springs which can go for free with the struts came from a facelift 325i nz new with 120,000kms on the clock $150ono i also have the following facelift rear bumper, excellent condition, top and bottom painted metalic lacsilber (i think thats the colour name) $100 ono e30 fan and clutch, good condition $60 325i radiator, good condition $60 325i driveshaft, good condition $40

bump... i also have a set of 15x7 basketweaves great condition, minimal curbing and near brand new expensive tires. just check out my project thread Link they are the ones on the M325i. will be looking for around $800 ono

looking into the engine brackets now... still waiting for some pay so will probly be sorting it next week. also painted the grill black on the m325i and cleaned it b4 storing her away.. thought i beta take some photos first tho. sorry for the bad quality, camera was playing up.

yea similar to that.. but much darker... possibly even slightly darker than the beamer blue. and im gunna get it professionaly done just so its mint

also the valve cover is going to be powder coated the same blue as on the BMW badge and the stripes and 'BMW' will be painted white.. all to match the badge. if anyone knows the paint code of that blue plz let me know.. cheerz
