Used the Touch since launch - Have fully customized Touch Flo controls allow for faster access to menu structure, could not live with out this - is way faster than any symbian OS controls. However and this is a big HOWEVER, the handset is far from stable and needs a soft reset almost everyday even tho i constantly clear the cache and memory. This may be due to the extent i use the device or the os platform or combination of both. Due to the nature of my work it gets a constant thrashing, push email, calling, music streaming, pictures, internet etc. Telecom WCMDA launch is due for November which will operate on quad band frequencies namely using 850MHZ (this will be EDGE capable - basically GPRS on steriods and cover the entire ) with the 2100MHZ being used to deliver HSPA services in all major centres at launch. If you're wanting to get a bleeding edge handset this year, wait till end of november when the market will be more competitive and the range of handsets will be greater.

Wrong - no a2dp profile in the bt stack and the application layer is locked so no third party software what so ever....unless you hack it and void your warranty.

Being a geek, its like working in a toy shop where i get to spend other peoples money buying stuff No company car. I use the baron e30 325i Convertible.

Im also very interested to see how the locking of sims vs no locking works out for each Telco. Personally I think any provider that tries to dictate to its customers what they can and cant have are asking for trouble. Consumers hate being dictated to and at the end of the day its their money you're wanting and by policing them with device functionality will just get you a one fingered salute. When I was at Voda we did a risk analyses of parralell imported phones. This was at the time the Sony Ericsson K750i was launched. After doing imei network checks we found that over 72% of the Sony Ericsson K750i's that were connected to the network had not been imported by Voda or Brightpoint (Voda Disti). So a massive impact from parralell imported phones and that was before they started heaving promotions through mailers and radio.

I seriously dont get what all the hype around the I-Phone is for. I used one for a couple of months and besides the cool GUI and Music/Photo apps, the day to day usage of the phone is terrible. It would lock up, the battery life was a standard 1 day (Any PDA i've ever used has been the same) and not having high-speed data was frustrating. Having worked in the mobile industry for the last 7 years i can safely tell you there are plenty of better phones out there with same functions (Excluding the GUI/Itunes ofcourse) for sharper pricing and more open platforms. If you like the GUI of the Iphone and you run a windows mobile phone with WM5 or higher you can download the Touch-Flo software off the net made by HTC which gives you the same type of interface. Its leaked copy of the programme, but there are plenty of sights on the net with support for it. I've loaded it onto a Titan and its been working sweet for the last few weeks.

Hi Folks, Just been doing a lill budgeting exercise for some of the work i need done the baron (thats my car) and have come to the conclusion that i will need to curb some of my habits. So no smoking mon-friday (always a good thing i suppose) no beers mon-thursday (EEEK!) and have to start taking lunches to work. What do you folks go without in order to keep your beast the way you want it?

This is also a problem in the work place! I receive emails with things like 'U' and 'wanna' it drives me mad that people cannot even get it right in their places of employment!!

Morning Folks, Need your wise opinions on a couple of things. I'm looking at getting some headers from The Red Baron (My car) and these seem to be around $1k. Anything I've missed? Secondly, my car is a 1987 red e30 325 convertible. I've been looking around for some nice mags, had my heart set on some nice 16' BBS Rim but just cant bring myself to pay $1.5K for them. To be honest i havent seen anything that looks like it will suite the car. Anything you folks can suggest? Thanks for the help.

Hi Folks, Trawling through the threads the other day and I saw a post by someone in regards to being stopped at the lights and leaving the car in D while just putting your foot on the brake and that this is totally bad for the torque converter? If so whats the right way to stay at the lights for a prolonged period of time? Put into Park? Neutral? Cheers

Just saw my first 335i in the Flesh. Was a metallic light blue colour, needed a wash, license plate '2POSH' and a starbucks coffee in the drinks holder......could almost hear it whisper......'Steal me....steal me', besides all that it looks the business aye! the front looks like it would ripp your face off and laugh at you while u bled to death.

I saw some other bloke driving it yesterday morning on the motor way and it definitley wasnt Phil so......I really hope not though!!!
