yea 328i and m3 use similer things etc , almost the same as the 3l v8 etc as well. i have had clutch pressure plates redone with a more grippier carbon kevlar material , more bite . also can get the pressure plates ramped up so have more clamp pressure as most bmw ones are pretty soft. i had a std e28 m5 pressure plate in my e28 and under hard driving would slip have a modified one with a carbon kevlar disc in there now has been great use it at the track all the time no slipping etc. makes the clutch a bit more like a switch , but you get used to that pretty quick. pretty much just foot off and the car moves on =) but if you car is just going to be used std then std will do
-
correct , the m5 one is stronger when braking etc , less likly to rip the top off
-
that sounds pretty good , have seen similer things done before. are you getting the m3 pressure plate ramped up?? and better carbon kevlar material fitted to the clutch disc as well??

e28 535i e24 635csi mounts will do, have used ones std sort of part looks like a e30 m20 mount but taller. have also used solid e34 m50 mounts as well , have some of those new if needed
-
nice , what did that lot cost if you dont mind me asking . looks good
-
Can do a tank and pump
-
but to be safe get the trans fluid checked/changed and filter etc
-
Ok you will need the matching larger axles to match the diff
-
have a e36 3.15 , use the gears out of that and fit into a e46 diff case
-
it will work , just need to uprate that clutch , and shorten the 2 gearlever rods by 25mm
-
Buy it mate =) goes hard

was a non ews 325i?? , best to go back that way probably , unless you have the 325i loom ecu afm sensors left over etc. have both m52b25 and b28 , but both from e39 so different mounts and looms etc. -
starter motor turning it over for a 30mins with some kero in the sump =) might work

BM WORLD replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in Projects
also did you replace the big ar$e m10 starter motor with a newer, smaller ,faster e34 535i e32 735i type -
had a 330i a few years back which had blown between 2 cylinders but not into the coolant etc. so had low compression in number 3 and 4 and ran with a miss fire etc. also had lifters can gum up with sticky old oil etc so they hold the valves open and not until it gets properly hot that it will start to run on all cylinders etc after the oil gets pushed back out of the lifters. you might be able to take them out squeeze them in a vise then refit them etc. or replace them with new ones etc. how long was the car sitting???
