    why a 525i , why not a 528i or 535i etc ??
  2. have you checked the dizzy cap and rotor??? if they are worn or cracked you wont get any or good spark. also check/replace main 2 relays , you could try another ecu if all else fails to get it going.
  3. check the fuel pressure regulator. check there is no fuel coming out of the vac hose thats connected to it .

  5. interesting about the bearings in the manuals , my manual gearbox in the e28 m535i (same as used in a e34 535i ) had done over 500,000km before the bearings started to go . have had plenty of other e34 535i's with manual boxes , lots of other 300k etc all seam fine .

  7. yes they do . but sadly this one is just kitted up to look like one with genuine alpina bits . but normally they have a worked engine , suspension bits etc 255hp instead of 211hp E34 b10
  8. have you check the crank sensors on the side of the gearbox bell housing in the pre face lift 325i . the plugs get broken etc . also can be dry joints in the ecu . check for spark when it dies
  9. thanks that would be , i thought i had the magazine will have another look , yes found the magazine now ,. thought it was in a total bmw magazine. cheers for that . but the seats we have are black leather with red inserts (not suede or alcantara ) standard sport type seats not the vader style ., and same with the door cards . any one have pics like these. thanks for the help . http://www.eurocca.net/forums/showthread.php?t=29414
  10. yes all m60/ m62 n62 engines have same bellhousing etc . so yes 6spd e39 box onto a e34 , e39 m60 engine . or M62 4.4L into a e34 540i 6spd etc . i have a spare 4.4L was saving for a rainy day project like that
  11. thanks . have a mate who picked up a black and red leather sports seats and door cards from a e36 coupe . and trying to convince another mate with a red e36 318is to fit them into his car ( has yukky light grey cloth interior) so just trying to find pictures of a red coupe with this individual type red and black leather interior

  15. e34 540i 300mm by 20mm bolt straight on from the rear .. also i think there where a bigger brake package for teh e34 m5 3.8L that will also bolt on , and maybe from a e31 850csi etc
  16. what model and year do you have . engine type etc etc. auto clutch in morning side are pretty good . i also have some ok used ones if you are real tight . and is your clutch disc , pressure plate or clutch master or slave cylinder thats giving out????

  19. just a quick update . had the 328i on gavin's (hi-velocity) dyno yesterday just to do a precheck dyno run with std setup . has std engine 105,000km , m20 light weight flywheel ,e36 325i getrag 5spd box 3.15 ratio diff , headers (from wayne) car pulls well , have driven just about 5000km since getting it back on the road etc have a super charger kit that came off a 97 e39 528i that i will fit in the next few weeks etc. then back to gavin's place for a remap of the ecu to suit the super charger setup just comparing the results to the 325i coupe that i had with same diff and same type of gearbox, same type of flywheel etc but with chipped ecu and 240,000km 328i has more torque across the rev range but power just stops at 5200rpm where as the 325i went all the way to 6000rpm sorry no dyno torque run on the 325i .

  21. have owned and driven most . the m50 525i is just ok when a manual , but i bit slack when a auto . 535i is good all rounder , but thirsty . the 530i v8 not to bad on fuel and power . the v8 engines are pretty much a sealled for life type , and dont require much work , except the water pump type stuff . my mate will have a e34 92/94 525i auto touring for sale soon . and also a e34 520i touring with 5spd manual . also excutive e34 520i 1995 sedan i have a 530i v8 for sale . red with black leather . tidy
