a guy i sold a m52 328i engine (from an autoc car) to a few years back fitted it to a early e36 325i manual with out the ews , he managed to figure out the wiring for the ews system . he reckoned he only only needed to supply power and ground etc to the ews box and wire the apropriate wires between the ecu and the coding ring and box etc he had found some block diagrams in pdf format on the net somewhere . best yes do your research . good luck .

my mate has a e34 excutive 1994/95 520i in that colour ,. has an unusual inside colour too. sort of green/grey leather with the gloss wood trim black door cards with matching greenish inserts

any car can have a overheating problem , if the water pump fails , thermostat jams shut or a leak in the radiator or a pipe etc . the 530i is about the same as a 540i , probably less problems with the auto trans than the 540i due to the extra power of the bigger v8 . check out www.bmwe34.net etc

thats why i sold my 99 540iT , could see some big costs coming in the future . had heard of these issues with the later vanos v8 engine's
-
yes have brought these from a local wrecker for a lot lot less but then agian he doesn't there value
-
i have had both my m5 engines go at that track (head gasgets), also on a remapped ecu , i wonder if that big uphill climb is quite a load on the engine running at max revs for a long time under load . extra hot , running lean etc . but they where old engines with possibly the original 25year old head gasgets . but i think this track is a lot harder on the engines due to the hills etc
-
is that caused be detonation (pinking) ??? guess
-
what diameter is it ?? i think there might be 2 sizes of this type of wheel. and yes come on some late e34 models have one of those from a excutive 520i 1994 fitted in my e36 328i nice wheel but a bit bigger than teh old mtec II i had in the older non airbag e36 325i

if the engine is being over fueled it will be hard to start , especially when the engine is hot .when the car is running unplug the engine temp sensor and see if it makes the engine run worse , if not then that could be teh problem . also check that fuel pressure reg if they fail it will be sqirtting more fuel in than should be . also how is your air filter is it a std paper one , or a k&n style thing make sure you clean that out or replace it
-
my mate just got offered a nz new 1995 740i with 120k on the clock and fsh grey with black leather for $5k if you wait around you can get some good buys .
-
fuel pressure regulator has failed , check the vac hose that goes into it should not have fuel in it . or failed engine temp sensor (the one fro the ecu) or checked that its plugged in properly
-
with the 3.2L its advisable to replace big end bearings. there are pretty much no parts for the 6 spd gearboxes .
-
also check the dizzy cap and rotor for moisture or worn out etc
-
i had a ac pump clutch burn up on my 325i a few years back , ac stoped working and i noticed a plastic buring smell , just swap the ac pump over for another used one and had it regased etc
-
yea been a bit of a hassle and a lot of $$$ but will get it sorted and make it better . its a M88/3 ,which is the euro spec with single row chain , higher proformance pistons ,and cams etc. also looking at doing up the old engine with a stroker kit , cams etc etc would love a m88/2 though (who knows what that is??)

yes thanks would be good . cheers
