good work my mate who has a e36 328Ti stripped out , no cage , no aircon still has window regs and some sort of dash etc I think he had his weighed in at about 1050kg too and its quick with a std 328i engine 325i manifold , e30 3.64 lsd , getrag box etc, stock headers and free flow exhaust

you have a battery in the car ??? that's 12 volts

check th efan relays also , and unplug the fan and test with a 12volt supply directly

also a common failure on these is the fan temp switch in the side of the radiator . also the half speed resistor on the fan goes open circuit. half speed should come on at at 12oclock on the gauge on these 318ti with the electric only fan option. but sounds like you need to get it tested out properly all the plastic pipes need to checked or replaced . possibly been driven running hot lots of times and killed the head gasket or cracked the head

it can still come with those bits except the seats now

if going std bmw clutch go for the earilier type like used in e34 540i as they use a std type clutch not one of those stupid auto tensioning type ones

I have a JB flywheel in my e34 544iT/6 uses stock bmw m62b44 type clutch , I don't like the auto adjusting clutch though. to weak etc and no feel in the pedal , if I had to choose again I would go for one of those kits that just use a chev or ford v8 type clutch etc have you talked to Darren at nz automotive ? or auto clutch ? get a custom flywheel made to fit a us type clutch kit make it with chrome molly or steel etc , as the ali ones can warp easily and the surface ends up like a potato chip

you need a spare e30 vert shell sitting in your back yard . that's what you need. then go pick up a cheap e30 coupe and swap all the bits over nice summer time project
