  1. Sounds great! 200 is gonna be the best by far. Il send a few docs outlining dimensions etc just to make it easier for you. Not worried about the lining up issue as the front fairings' white pin stripe spreads out further than the tank itself, and the seat fairing is just solid white. Also you'll probly need to colour match? I can send a useless piece of fairing for the blue but i dnt think its needed for the white, unless you think so? If you can give me an address to send to and a bank acc number i will do that straight away along with the money. You can email me on [email protected] which is prob easiest. Cheers Andrew
  2. want a few little dents straightened out in the tank, then blue both sides with a white stripe down center of tank with white pin stripe. Also have a FIAT vinyl to put on before clear coat in the centre of white stripe. Hopefully pics give an idea of what i want done.
  3. Hi guys, I'm refurbishing a 2000 Yamaha R6 to look and sound like Rossi's Yamaha from this season. I need a custom job done on the tank and was wondering if anyone can recommend a panel shop in the auckland area capable of doing this cheaply? Heres a pic of the colour scheme: Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Andrew And heres how it turned out. Many thanks to John for painting the tank.
  4. are these sams? as the 4 stud will be a problem if so... That hartge kit looks tidy! is it just a front lip and colour coded bumpers? Would be a much cheaper option than the m kit too. Il drop him a text, see what he thinks, munys tight atm tho so well see. Im keen for black leathers on the inside first tho!
  5. I'm on the fence with that. As much as I'd like to keep it stock I still find myself leaning towards an m3 kit and some stance work with some mesh style wheels. The problem is I've already got a project car and I really only bought it as an economic daily to oppose the gas guzzling weekend toy. I also enjoy the sleeper value as i can definitely say that I "Saw the police and they rolled right past me, No flexin, didn't even look in a *****'s direction as I ran the intersection"........
  6. Hi guys, Here's some pics of my new daily. I managed to get my hands on this beautiful example for a massive bargain, and am yet to find fault with the her. A few notes of warning from the AA inspection in chch turned out to be utter bullcrap as i had it inspected up here in akl and there was nothing remarkable to report at all. Shes a NZ new 1998 318i touring MANUAL in calypso red with 126,000kms on the clock, and is as tight as the day she was born. Not bad for cellphone pics eh?
  7. Ahh ok that gives me a better understanding. Sounds like a good idea for the custom seat mounts as id rather get it done right the first time. Would i be able to have a look at your car? Im very keen to see some of the work thats gone into it. I'll pm you regarding the latter. Cheers
  8. Is the offset is correct for an e36? or is modification required?
  9. How did you mount your seats?
  10. Got the inspection done friday after looking up travis from JC, cheers ryan. Its in great nick, but i think the kms are too much of a risk at this stage. Dont need to have to fix it when it f**ks out as it most likely will sooner rather than later even if its in good cond now. Good news though, iv found another vehicle which iv contacted the owner of, hopefully all going well on this inspection will have it shipped by rail up to akl. Anyone familiar with how rail transport works/pricing. Cheers for the feedback guys edit: heres the link for the car http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=316395881
  11. Cheers for all the feedback guys. Economy is exactly what im after and reliability doesn't phase me too much as i will be maintaining it to the highest standard. I have a few cheeky mods planned which should catch plenty of eyes Hopefully will get it booked into JC bmw late this week otherwise will have to be early next week.
  12. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any experience with e46 320d's in particular the facelift version? any faults or commendations about this vehicle? Im looking into buying one as a daily and am keen to get some feedback on the car. In particular this one: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=314678443
  13. ^^ Agreed. Is not hard to find it; e30tech.com, r3v and the countless other forums and write ups available using search on google. Also you might find turboing a m40 a waste of time unless you know what you're doing or have a large budget, as you're not going to get much out of it going the cheap and easy way. Dropping a turbo m20b25 in will see much larger gains for the same money.
  14. I have a mate, who encountered similar circumstances. Cops jumped out in front of car when he spun the turbo up a bit, he swerved to avoid, cruised up the road slowly before getting blocked by a patrol car. his car was impounded, and charges for dangerous driving and failure to stop were issued, and he was arrested and spent the night in central. He has fought these charges with a lawyer and is close to getting them dropped completely due to a good lawyer bringing the facts out and showing the judge the gross exaggeration in the police officers' statements. I've witnessed over embellishment on behalf of the police many times now, and if you present your case, including every little detail to a lawyer, I'm sure you will have no trouble fighting those charges.
  15. just out of interest, what rails were you using Andrew? edit: what was the seat height like for you? Were yours double locking? Any hang ups in your experience? Sorry for the questions, just having to think about my mounting options for my SRD's atm.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes for over 100g, there's many gold pocketed enthusiasts out who'd be keen to get their hands on it. And on the topic of it never flying again, who says it cant be done? There are many restoration outfits around Auckland alone, one of which is building a mosquito and a spitfire mk2 for two Texas businessmen. I'm very interested to see where it ends up.
  17. I've been looking to get a z3 steering rack for the higher turning rate, how does the z3 rack compare to the 3.0 or the 3.2?
  18. what condition is the g260 in? also how much?
  19. Just electrical tape the lights and pop the bonnet badge out. I heard that looks mean.
  20. that's some sweet sweet music right there, minus the knock. Any luck sourcing the problem yet?
  21. I need to get rid of all the parts sitting around from the 320i. Not fussed about pricing just want the sh*t gone! Engine has only done 125000kms Auto box was working as it should when removed bearings, hubs, brakes, suspension all stock and serviceable If you want parts make me an offer, there's no such thing as a stupidly low price.

    This is why!

No, i think that a heated argument over an incident that you know little about is pointless. Its obvious that he will never be able to forget about his actions that day, and he will be haunted by those memories for the rest of his life. He made a stupid decision and he was severely unlucky to have those dire consequences, and in every way he is responsible. He obviously knows this as hes accepted responsibility for everything, this is more than saying "im at fault", accepting responsibility is conveying the fact that he is willing to do as much as he can possibly do to rectify the situation, and i'm sure the sentence will represent this. If you're going to tell me that hundreds of years ago when you were the same age as him, you were a model citizen abiding by every single rule of the road, then you are the f**k head. I'm sick of reading your psyco rants.

    Headphones

In my exp of skullcandy they're more for looking cool than playing music, and they get bloody uncomfortable. If you're after listenable sound quality try Technics or Sennheiser. I use the technics DJ1200 which have suited me well and i've thrashed the f**k out of them in the last year and they still go strong.
