Evidence that they are actually 4WD & yes there is probably only one idiot in NZ that actually has had it offroad. When I say offroad, I mean off gravel, off grass & judder bars & out of supermarket carparks. I only got a few pics, tame ones at that, but I did get the girl quite badly stuck in the river, lucky I was able to be towed out & it was by a Nissan! YouTube video of her going through one of the smaller crossings...

Cheers Took me a few minutes to bang that one up, resolution is rubbish on it
-
I think it's only minor cosmetic stuff. If I get it for $1400 I'd be laughing, 2hundi to do some quick repairs and the machine will look like an M3... Almost

Cheers jeddy There's no security or money owing on the car which is a good start. Any of you guys use that txt b4 u buy?
-
I'll give the joker a ring tomorrow & take some foldings with me. It's hard for one to refuse folding cash. Or should I take $1400 worth of dollar coins? LOL!!!
-
You rekon I'd get that car for $1600 pinga? If it was any good and I could get it for that I'd be over the moon!
-
Hahahahahaha! I've had a few E30's and love them. I need to update that sorry. All I have at the moment is the Touareg.
-
Would prefer a manual yeah. 318 & above. I like the 318i 2 door tbh. Ticks all the boxes, nice colour, cheap (has been on auction for a few weeks now from memory) Looks the goods. The 325i 4 door would go like the clappers.

But what does I get. I'm only really prepared to spend around 1800-2000 & I'll be using it daily to work unless it's icy or snowing in which case I'll take the Touareg 4WD. I've been doing some research on the faithful old TradeMe & have come up with a few potentials... Please post your comments, I'd love to hear them! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-152020868.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=151578200 - needs a bit of work it seems http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-151764749.htm Those are three that I've found in my local area. Would be prepared to go as far as Christchurch or as far south as Invercargill. Would be great to hear from anyone who has a link to TM with a good car for sale. Cheers.

Yep, mine was in Black! That colour doesn't do alot for me imo. The motorsport kit looks the goods but as was said, those wheels look like rolling pins for some reason. Very nice car & very highly optioned from the looks of things

You've gotta be kidding??? Nah, or atleast I'm blind... No one heard of a sense of humour? +100 for taking it easy. This is after all a forum. Don't like the post? Then don't reply. Apologies to Admin if I have offended, was not my intention!

having another woman. Pure intercourse on wheels is this unit... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=151970000 A little expensive though? Or is that what the E30 M3's are worth now?
-
Yes m8, that's the jockeys. I don't buy off dealers normally, well, havn't for years. However they had this unit cheap, They say they heavily discount their cars if they've been on the market for over a month so I got this truck for a very good price. The thing that was so attractive about this one was is that it was a grade 5 (top) & it was a good price lol. At the end of the day, I'll buy anything as long as it's cheap & it doesn't matter who it's from
-
Ahhh thanks for that hotwire. Do you know of any websites off hand that can be browsed? Much appreciated!
-
106k which I know sounds very high, but it was a good deal, the car was a grade 5 import which is the best, also the highest grade interior. AA checked, service history, done 100km in 3 years lol, so well serviced! Used Auto Importers. 220kph in a Touareg is nothing!!!! @ 220 it was as smooth as! Rembering that the chassis, & loads of other components are the same as the Porsche! V10 diesels do 230kph Mine is running on 18" 255 tyres which are road tyres that are also very very smooth running. the W12 Touareg's are limited to 250kph only because of the tyres & the EU agreements.

316 0-60 in 12 seconds? sh*t, they almost needed a calendar, not a stopwatch for that! Good find this, love the rear end of the E30 on that first page, still looks modern by today's standards imo.

Would be interested for people to post to hear their experiences with importing cars from Japan. Is it something any old joker can do? Is it something that is recommended? Do's & Don't's? What are the costs of importing a car i.e. everything including shipping, taxes, taxes, taxes & more taxes, then customs/maf e.t.c? Wouldn't mind doing one one day, just to undercut the dealers/wholesalers e.t.c in prices.
-
Cheers gents Yeah the poor bastard! I think it's a car that's atleast 6-7k in the condition it is/was in. Has traction control, factory stacker, cruise, the whole lot!

Have had a quick search with no success, but do the 320i 1994 E36 engines have a cambelt or are they chain driven? Mate of mine has just bought an absolute mint one with 100km, black, 1994, airbags e.t.c. for 3500 His Mrs took it to get groceries and some muntard backed into it as she was walking towards it and the bitch had the cheek to drive off as if nothing had happened, less than 24 hours of ownership and its going in to have the bumper reparied lol...
-
She's running on very quiet Michelin 255 R18 Road tyres, no snow tyres thank god. They're 7mm on each, so I'd say they have recently been replaced. Nick, my arguement to that is, I have no idea what it is/was, it just beeps. Further, I'll say it should have been removed by customs when the vehicle arrived. GPS/DVD/CD/AM/FM/30GB HDD No need for a CD Stacker, I just put a disk in and press record and it saves them in a clever compression format so it uses bugger all hdd space.

Yeah no air suspension on this unit, I've heard some horror stories, similar to the P38 Range Rovers. That little unit is a Japanese Jammer & GPS guided radar detector & it works too!!! Was sitting at a comfy 125 on the way back, passed a mufti cop and it went bezerk, he didn't read my speed so I guess it worked!

Has anyone heard the legend of the VW logo on the hubcaps? Please, I intend no offense to anyone with this post - If you are offended by Swastikas, please do not click on the below link! http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=U4lO578NI04

She's the V6 mate & it goes very very well. 220 I've had it to so far, It's quicker than the E60 in certain rev ranges, quicker off the mark aswell. Interior pics:

Removed that just before mate, I hated it lol. Got some nice chrome ones from Repco instead.
