List price in England is 73k GBP you get the VAT off that but have to pay GST which works out to about 147k NZD Then sold new in NZ you're paying 229k

I wasn't ever disappointed with BMW but I have ventured outside of BMW and every time I've owned what ever car for a very short period of time because I've become bored of it very quickly, i.e Audi S4, ML Merk, VE GTS Commodore, CLK55 AMG, Porsche e.t.c. and in between them all was a BMW.
-
Only and yes ONLY in America. Imagine what a judge would say about that in NZ? Wouldn't even make it past the front door.
-
Pisses you off huh? I've been going on about the prices we pay here in NZ for the marque for yonks.
-
I'm busted! And that was 10am as well.

Looks more a 1M to me, not a M1. There's about 3 or 4 floating around my works suburb now and I see them several times a week all driven by women lol. Sorry fellas, and I haven't driven a 1M but have driven a 135i and 123d and I'd much rather have 50k in the bank rather than have it sitting ontop of my 50k 123d/135i It's a stoking amount of coin to have tied up in a wee car IMO.

No comprende?
-
When I'm finished with it lol, empty. Thanks for your help mate.
-
Bahahahahaha!!! Sorry mate, I couldn't resist. It's working perfectly now, drove around the block and just now into town without incident. I've put a before and after again lol.
-
Things didn't go too well Glenn, I've posted a before, middle and end photo's...
-
Thanks mate, will give it a go! Cheers, will let you know how I get on
-
Hi Glenn, looks a bit corroded in there. Is the # 3 wire the earth? Looks as if it is mate, how about I cut the earth wire, shirink set a longer wire with a self tapping screw onto the earth on the board? Cheers.

After driving the 320d a few days myself this indicator issue is driving me insane, so I replaced all the bulbs and guess what, it's still doing it! Any more ideas chaps? Thanks in advance.
-
And the options are far cheaper than NZ, which is probably why you'll see a much higher percentage of BMW's over there sold with toys such as navigation, M sport package e.t.c.
-
Fair points lads, so I guess we could absorb an increase in price, but 120k? She's a bit steep IMO, 10 M5's equaling 1.2 million extra profits? I guess with more and more people jumping on the bandwagon purchasing in U.K it's only going to further damage their own sales.
-
That didn't answer the question lol. It's actually no different from paying $1000 for a washing machine at one store, then paying $1800 for the exact same item at another store. There's some pretty fan dangled flash as showrooms in England tho lol.
-
More to the point, why is NZ being charged some 120k more for the same thing? This is BS in it's purest form IMO, media needs to be involved...
-
His maiden voyage will be in a E46 Motorsport 320d lol He's now 24 hours old and still hasn't cried yet lol, a true BMW kid IMO. Thanks for all the congrats lads.

My wife has just given birth to a healthy baby boy. # 2 for us 7lbs 11oz & he's a looker, just like his old man. I'll have him in a oil burning BMW before you know it!

One Man's Crusade Against The Personalised Plates Monopoly
deeveus replied to bravo's topic in General Discussion
EuroPlates My confusion is; why do they issue "EuroPlates" for Japanese vehicles, I've seen them on a Honda Jazz, Corolla e.t.c. They look terribad by the time they've had to fold up the ends because they don't fit ffs. And forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't Lexus a Japanese brand? They have special Lexus europlate designs which in some cases don't fit the cars! They have American made cars there also such as Jeep & Dodge lol. I've even seen them on a 100 Series VX Landcruiser and IMO it didn't suit it. -
I think you forgot to add in that post what type of car it was lol! So say a 25k GPB car landed in NZ would cost?
-
On a SUV what kind of money are they charging aprox? I'm prepared to do it myself to save money but if it's going to be a reasonable price I may consider it. Cheers.
-
Sorry to drag this up yet AGAIN! Has anyone used AutoHub successfully? I'm kinda car less at the moment and wouldn't mind importing an X5 or 335d over.

There used to be a saying "not suitable for dialup users" - this thread isn't good for broadband users either! My shitty 4mbps connection took three mins to load this page! You may find issues when trying to get a WOF and the inspector sees the modifications to the parcel tray.

Either to BMW or someone wanting the running gear out of it, and probably still a fair amount of saleable parts available.
