700GB is almost unbelievable. That's 22.5gb per day EVERY day!
-
My 07 GTS commodore had a constant readout of fuel consumption, it would sit under 1500rpm at 100kms in 6th gear and steadily return 9 per 100km constantly, if I was in 4th or 5th it used a lot more than that! Would a Shimano 18 speed be any better?
-
I know for a fact that that car was a pre-production and is the first of the M3's - it was bought by Cooke Howlison and somehow able to be sold new (back in 2010)
-
He's running a file sharing server system, and that 700gb was in an hour - also, it's Michael.co.nz
-
I guess the first 5-6 gears would be for hooning with, then the 7th gear would enable the car to use less fuel due to lower RPM on the opens roads?
-
It's been for sale for 6-7 months. Not a good look IMO. Feel sorry for anything being towed by it, it would be hanging on for dear life! Compared to a 03'ish RS6 these would still be quicker?
-
Troo Grant but then theres the hassles with that, and probably take months to get your car repaired as there'd be shitloads of claims to sort and with so many cars damaged there'd be a wait, then your car's never the same and insurance excess! I'd prefer no damage if it was brand new, if it was 1500 years old then I'd sit there watching it with a Speights.
-
Then a diesel would be plenty of grunt. I agree it's the kind of car that you get driven around in, so who wants to be thrown into corners and put way back in your seat from the V12 when you're getting some action in the back, reading the paper or filming an episode of baywatch in the back? 730ld would be my choice no matter how much dosh I had lol.
-
No matter how much harm it would do to me, I'd be out there trying to cover the car or put it into the garage.
-
That's nearly more than both my houses combined. The devaluation on something like that must be EPIC. Drive out, 100k gone straight away. Why wouldn't you buy an M5 then spend the rest on piss? Oh dear, it's still a Merk mate, same sh*t different day and. Mine was NZ New also, and I'm not aware that there are any import W208 CLK 55's Yes, there's shitloads of import 55 AMG sedans, but mine was a W208, kiwi new. I think you are referring to a W211.

Even if it was junk, there's bound to be some cars of financial gain in there. If you're gonna tell me that you'd be pissed off that those cars were there post possession of the property, then you've got a few marbles rolling around lol!!!

Word. I've seen them as low as 15k for about 130kms, but a quick search on TM reveals around 20-25k which represents good value for the money, just get a warranty IMO!
-
Haha, yeah but how much is one of those??? This CL 600 is only 40 slides!
-
I've owned a CLK-55 AMG and would have imagined the CL 600 would be a quicker car. For 40k I don't think anyone could argue. 800nm
-
Since when was the M5 4.4 seconds to 100kph? Official stats are 4.7seconds. The clear problem with the Merk was being able to get the power down onto the road.
-
Go as far to say same weight driver, but whether or not either one had had some action before the race. I rekon after 100kms the torque would be too much for the M5 to handle because the restriction with the Merk is the fact that it's dumb compared to the M5, the Merk is a hammer compared to the M5's surgical knife and once the Merk is able to put the power down properly it would be Sayonara.
-
Yus, but this is the face lifted 368kw and 800nm job, 300nm more than the M5 and only slightly down on kw. Surely it would be close. To date the fastest car I've driven is a E60 M5 of the uncles and that was 4 years ago.
-
Would like a drive of one of these Are these a E60 M5 eater (in a straight line) for less money?
-
They needed to, they were that far behind (and still are mind you) that I had to change, I was getting bills for 50-100 per month extra usage.
-
That's quite good going, and it must be a new plan as two months ago I was forced to shift my 3 business phone lines and internets to Vodafone because the biggest plan they had at the time was 60GB - I now have 200GB for 150+gst plus phone lines, which still worked out cheaper than Telecom and get 140GB per month more (at the time) As per the router, I'm getting 20megabit down @ work and 1megabit up. Home, is a different story ffs, 4mbps! At home I shifted to Vodafone for phone, internet, MySky and saved $40 per month and went from 20GB to 60GB - I also have another account at our other place with another 60GB, my phone also has 3GB - does anyone here realize how hard it is to get rid of 323GB per month?
-
They're are way way over rated IMO. They aren't as reliable as they make out and they are way down on power compared to rivals. BMW, pick up ya game & make a van!
-
Pic That is an epic pic.
-
Would you guys not have that on the yard?
-
Also, I'd feel nervous as hell driving one, something doesn't scream reliability on old hand made English things. They'd be a mongrel of a thing to get fixed & for the $$$ there's a lot more that I'd personally rather have.
-
Funny thing, I was talking to someone else about those on the weekend and they have a new one (3 months old) and they think it's like driving an excavator.
