Just something else to throw in there, this a 525d - 144kw and 400nm
-
I used these guys because you can do it yourself. There are NZ agents. BlueFin My X5 went the same engine as 530d and mine went from 500nm to 597nm and 160kw to 193kw but also makes the power more available faster and more accessible. All do you do is get the computer, plug it in to car, uploads data to computer then you send the file to the U.K who then modifies it, they send it back to you, re-upload to the car and boom. Took only 20 or so minutes. I can't say I'm a fan of manual diesels, especially 6 speed with closer ratios, reason being they have so much torque you're changing gears constantly as you only have a limited rev range compared to a petrol. I'd never bother with a manual X5 especially, they auto boxes are so smooth now IMO a manual one would ruin the car.

The car isn't an M3. He's commented by saying "no expense spared" which would tell me that everything has been done but perhaps the most critical component that is missing is the M3 engine.

Forums will always be full of discussions and debates and opinions that's why most of us are here. I guess my personal buff on this particular issue isn't with the car it's with the wording on the listing. There will be more threads in the future about fake M3's as M3's are one of the cars that this forum is all about and what is discussed here.

If it didn't have any expense spared then where's the M3 engine & gearbox and suspension components, instrument cluster, everything else lol?

Seems to be a lot of experts on there, even that guy who issues LVCerts. What he's missed though is the fact that you could pretty much name whatever you wanted when filling out the reg forms when the car was coming into NZ. As long as it was a BMW of course, I've seen heaps of examples like 530i's registered as M5's, Legacy 1.8litre wagons registered as GT-B legacy e.t.c. I'd imagine one phone call to a BMW dealer would confirm weather or not it's real or a good replica.

A weeeee vid of the Commie.

Doesn't mean you have to throw bottles at them and shout abuse at them when they're riding 500 abreast on a narrow road way does it?
-
May have been a re-post but thought some might be interested.

I lived in Australia for a few years so it's not that hard to actually apply IMO. One question though; WTF make it 5am cut off???
-
Believe it or not I've seen two in Dunedin, white one at the dealership and another orange one. Go Dunners!

Looks brilliant in red. Simple. Nice ride mate & welcome.

+ 3 - some people are born with a silver piece of cutlery protruding from their mud making facility.

The laptop in my experience has to be complete. Repair/Replacement will depend on how much it costs to repair i.e if it costs $200 to fix and the laptop is worth $500 they will repair it. If it's un-economical to repair i.e repairs are more than the machine is worth they will generally replace the laptop but then again some policies will only pay out what the laptop is worth.

It is an X5. Same ride height and visibility.

This is the thing. Even 50k can land you a very nice car. I understand they have to pay VAT and other taxes on emissions e.t.c. but even after pricing bluemotion VW's and other low emission cars they prices are still miles cheaper than kiwi ones. Toyboata in NZ have to be making money on sales, they are a big because some people in NZ can't look outside the square and realize that makes such as BMW are reliable. My father in law owns a WOF testing station with a decent sized workshop and he hates BMW's with an absolute passion calling them UN-reliable German rollerskates. A family member bought a new VX Prado on special from 90k to 80k - they have deals all the time - the Toyota's seemed to have purchased dash materials and exterior paneling from Officeworks because they feel as they have the same feel and thickness of A4 sheets of paper. When you shut the door in a 90 grand car you shouldn't witness the roof suck in & out, you shouldn't be able to run your hands along the dash and have it feel like it's 0.1mm thick There was a 1992 E36 318i in there with 230kms & an import a few weeks back with a blown head gasket and he commented; there you go, they're un-reliable! - The car looked like it was owned by someone living in a sewer, inside resembled a tip and the outside looked as if it was used for a bit of touch parking giving weight to the fact it probably wasn't looked after. I just had to have a coke and a smile because it was a 20 year old rig with reasonably highish km's and this is the thing that people get into their heads, they never seem to mention when the Toyota's blow head gaskets, look at the 1KZ engines and the older 2.4 turbo engines! Sorry, I went way off topic on this one, I guess it was sitting in the back of my head about the general opinions of Euro's

Some of it would be called "the green eyed monster"
-
Ok so their list prices don't include any VAT and emissions tax?
-
I'd be placing money on weather on the fact he won't sell them at that price, unless some unbeknown idiot comes along that doesn't have a clue.
-
That's probably the case mate but there's still some massive gaps there. i.e the difference between the 535d is nearly 70k NZD and I'm pretty sure 30k would max out the options on one of those.

A few sentences on this... Large circumference of genitalia Much practice conditioning That video would be epic in 1080p

The only issue with that is nothing 2nd hand is identical, for example there could be two 100,000km BMW X5's on the yard, one could require 5k worth of maintenance the other not, unless a house right beside each other on the same street are absolutely identical for example. At the end of the day things are only worth what they are sold for & you will get people with opinions where ever you go & most the time the person with the opinion doesn't have any intention of purchasing.

Out of curiosity I priced a few cars in NZ New and New in the U.K. Audi R8 Coupe sold new in NZ is 336k vs 165k (converted) if purchased from the U.K new Porsche 911 S sold new in NZ is 254k NZD and 154k NZD (converted) if purchased from the U.K new BMW 535d M Sport sold new in NZ is 157k NZD and 90k NZD (converted if purchased from the U.K new What taxes / hidden charges do the British have to pay?

I will say the plastics under there seemed incredibly thin but seemed to be quite rigid. The instruments in the dash looked like an LCD screen too, everything is clean and modern & you it felt light years ahead of my E53 or an E90 - even though it's only 5-6 years difference getting back into my X5 seemed like I was going back in time to the early 1800's

Hi, how much am I looking at for the harness roughly?
