I'd be interested in a BM one?
-
I'd 2nd that. When you see a M325i it's like: ahhh nice, a M325i. When you see a E30 M3 it's like: OMG, Scheiße, pull over have a look, ask the owner if it's ok if you steal it. Don't get me wrong at all, I would love to own a M325i, infact I probably would rather own one over a M3 because of the money tied up.

Cooke Howlison BMW told me that mine was sealed for life too. I just can' understand that to be honest. Glen, what should I pay for my E53 if I end up hanging on to it (gearbox service)

That's an SMG alright. Someoone dropped some serious coin on ordering that car. Very few about, NZ new, win. Dear I say, it would definitely sound better than a E60 M5. They look cheap - infact I'd burn them as soon as I took delivery and it would be straight down to the tyreshop. Makes the car look 2nd hand or like someone in Japan has been drinking heavily and thought they'd spice up their cars life by adding failwheels.

Looks damned nice, but is it just me or are the prices of these things especially in the last 6 months gone up a hell of alot?
-
Ahhh probably even worse unfortunately. IMO the petrols are less sort after, especially the 3.0i, the 3.0i seems to be in the middle of nowhere, neither here nor there. They don't perform anywhere near as well as the diesel and they're streets behind the V8. Put it this way I don't think the V8's use alot more fuel, so my thinking would be if I were to purchase a X5 petrol, it would definitely be the V8. I've had the 4.6, 4.4 and 3.0d

Very much set on a Diesel. Love their torque which is better IMO around town and every day use. That & they cost stuff all to run. The chap that lost over half on his X5 I'm guessing it was a V8?

A boss of mine used to have a E36 in the same colour it looked damned good for green. Don't worry, I will be vigorously checking this one out.
-
Must be an up north thing. Tried going for a NZ new one if all the Jap ones are silver? I personally like the silver colour, red also looks good IMO.
-
Visit My Website It's done some clicks, looking at doing a straight swap with it on my Escudo. Haven't viewed it yet but the chap is very keen.

They need to find me a car then they will advise a trade-in price. If it's ROFL I'll tell them to FOAD.

Yeah the E53 is by no means an ugly car IMO - the E70 is nice but it does have some very wierd angles... Drove the twin turbo version today and I could hardly notice the difference bar it had a little bit more mid range torque, thats it really. Then jumping back into mine today I couldn't notice the difference either with mine being chipped...

It's purely a sound like no other V8. My CLK used to sound very much like the new NA's today - closest thing to it would have to be Audi's 4.2litre V8 though.
-
^^^ if you worked hard enough I'd be able to get a brand new one

Not really sure I want black this time round. It looks great but the X5 also looks great in SILVER and WHITE and a hell of alot easier to keep clean thats for sure. Does anyone at all here own a E70? They should rename this website www.E30-E36-E39-E34-forum.co.nz haha! That URL might be available ha.

Isn't her ture partner? Does this mean I can stick one on my wife and see what she's been getting up to? HAHA! How much are we looking at delivered to Dunedin for a unit? Do they run off batteries, how long do they last for and can they be plugged into a ciggie lighter? X5's have a power point in the boot if they don't draw too much current...

I'm thinking of moving into a E70 X5. I test drove THIS ONE today and it was superb, they have advanced a hell of alot since my E53. So I have made my mind up that the next car I move into will be a E70. I want a twin turbo, the one I drove today was a single turbo although it did pull extremely well. Has anyone driven both and can they tell me if the twin turbo is worth it? One thing I will add is that I've owned & driven alot of cars in my lifetime and I can honestly say that that Motorsport X5 is the best handling car I've ever driven, gives so much confidence in the corners it's just unreal for how high & heavy it is. I'm totally blown away by that & then when you want to stop the brakes are flipping fantastic too! So - Twin Turbo or Single?

LOL American cars were never designed with economy in mind especially in the 90's 17 is awful for a 8 cyclinder even ha.
-
Just over 1000km out of a tank on the open road - 900km around town, I'm sure if I drove nicely and drove till the light came on I'd get 1100km out of it. Mazda 6 700km comfortably - Daimler V12 about 400 miles to 200litres - no sh*t... Suzuki Escudo 350km out of a tank.
-
Word, I've enjoyed it too, but it's just not long enough, your'e just starting to get into the episode then it's finished. They also spend atleast 8 minutes on the stupid quizz thing to win the car of the week. There isn't as much reviews as there used to be on that too...
-
I've always wanted one (supercharged one) - what do they go like & would you compare it to a M5 if you've been in one? They're becoming very cheap now for the performance and power you're getting. They have more torque than a E60 M5 but I actually think the E55 would be easier to live with especially on a day to day basis.
-
It's unfortunately what you need to spend on upkeep for a supercar. When released these things were the best road going sedan available IMO. I can't imagine the maintenance costs being any more than a M5 ?
-
I definitely think this new series is toned down alot. Episode three was much the same as the past two, rather un-eventfull. Still it is Top Gear though!

For Sale - BMW X5 - onboard diesel heater - sat nav - towbar... Would make for a good selling point LOL

Yer, I do remember the brakes being very expensive on them and need replacing every 80km Mine had done low k's so I avoided all these items luckily.
