Bugger. Would love to get my hands on a TV module. Great for watching the idiot box when waiting for the wife, clients or picking up takeaways haha! I'd also love to see if it was feasible and at what cost it would be to upgrade my factory stereo to the DSP with twin sub woofers in the RH rear boot compartment.

Mine is very fortunate to have sat nav, but not TV!!!!! - even my dealer has mentioned that very very few E53's had this option ticked. Because it has the nav, does this mean that the video module wouldn't be suitable hotwire? Mines also the widescreen version.

Hey there. Sorry for sounding rather thick but what exactly do you mean by a video unit? I've got a MKIII screen I think, are you selling a module for TV or something? Because I'd be very interested. Cheers.

To add insult to injury, it was raining on the way home. The problem is still there after being there all day yesterday at BMW. Oh my oh my words will be had on Monday.

Very pretty car, has to be worth all of the mid teens. Even though the M5 is probably a better car in terms of power but the Alpina is extremely rare & price must reflect that. Knowing that your the only one in your suburb/town that has an Alpina is a good feeling I could imagine!

As soon as you pull the line, do it or I'll bail to your competition for my insurance they jump. I'm running only a small business but my premiums are nearly 6k a year so they will shift quickly if I put my foot down!

Novus are supposed to be a country mile better.

Be keen to hear from anyone who's had a similar experience from Smith & Smith auto-glass. I instigated a claim for my windscreen in May. Finally last week it was at the shop & ready to be fitted, so I dropped it off and picked it up & it looked brilliant, until it started raining. The drivers wiper hardly touched the screen making it rather difficult to see so I took it to BMW and replaced all the wiper rubbers at 70 bucks! Later that day it kept doing it so I took it back and they ordered two new wipers - this also didn't work. By that stage I was starting to really loose my sense of humour. Smith & Smith accepted that it was their fault so I took it back to BMW and they found that internally they had bent something making my wiper way off angle - quite simply they'd lost a sleeve & bent the wiper arm. I've been sent a customer satisfaction survey from them in my P.O Box today and when I was talking to BMW, I told them about the survey and I said that there wouldn't be enough room on that piece of paper for all the swear words. I'm in a repair industry and accept that mistakes are often made, but constantly in that two months I went in asking about my screen and they'd simply forgotten to order it, that & now the bent wiper arm has really taken the cake. The shagging round & lost time & money that it's caused me I'd never use the bastards again.

There's so much of it going on at the moment. I'm getting 1-2 emails per day at the moment stating that one of the auctions I've viewed was a scam. They need to restrict access to NZ&AUS imo.

Hey Bravo, I'd been keen to catch up at one of the bars in Manchester street. After all, all roads lead to Manchester street in the South Island. If you were coming this far south I'd be keen to catch up mate & take you for a ride in the Suzuki SS80-G

Epic. Can't help but notice that there was not one 330d there.

I made sure it was a genuine screen which is probably why it took so bloody long to arrive. @ the dealership they confirmed it is the genuine article. Yup, it was for the X5. I've had no issues with my radar detector or GPS.

Annoying thing people do on Trade Me
deeveus replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
They need a selector pull down menu for ks or miles IMO. Another thing that pisses me off is say a car has done 250,000km and the engine or gearbox was replaced 50,000km ago for example and they put this in the mileage section as a pose to the cars real distance travelled. Why do people think that their mileage travelled on the car is what the engine or wiper blades have travelled? IMO there's no difference between a new engine and a cigarette lighter replaced the car has still done 250,000km -
Visit My Website That should help

That is an amazingly good looking car. FWD or not, that would be the ultimate shopping basket. Jam in the 35i engine, 4WD and kgo.
-
We've got a reasonably fast connection here but boy did those pics take ages to load. Ever considered resizing & compressing them?
-
Yeah hold up lol, they are both 850i's Are there any Alpina variants in NZ?
-
850i For an extra 5k or so you can own that one. Why buy an import that has done alot more mileage & isn't as tidy. That wine red 850i has to be from the pics one of the best examples I've seen.
-
Hmm, hasn't effected mine at all, BMW told me that it can mess up my radar detector too and it hasn't seemed to of. Are you talking about the plugin GPS or factory inbuilt GPS SAT NAV?
-
If I'm going to crash I'll take the X5 that day
-
I'm thinking about it LOL, seriously.
-
Not taking the piss, it's actually bloody good LOL! Seats fold down in the back for my gear, makes alot of sense haha, went and filled it up from bone dry in the tank and cost $31 ROFL!
-
Bought THIS just now. I know the car, it was my loan vehicle when I was getting the wheels & tyres for the X5 - ugly but very easy to park, and super economical and sits on 100kph very easily believe it or not!
-
Yeah, it just had mice on treadmills under the bonnet.
-
Both our work cars are registered to a P.O Box lol, they won't find em there haha!
