  1. Yea I dont really know how to do that and its not installed yet, I just got my hands on it, hopefully put it on Friday maybe...
  2. Fresh WOF and Rego, Sassy groom and Remus exhaust
  3. Ahh I always seem to spot people from here around Greenlane, Remuera. I see you were incognito in the ML. Poor E39 was the first time she has been driven this year so I thought I should give it a clean before my WOF (which FYI I passed with no warnings, not even my lights which were the same ones you were having trouble with)
  4. I look on Tradecarview.com for cars form time to time, one of these days I will get around to importing one haha
  5. E39!!!!! Im at uni too and work 8 hours a week part time. The car has been nothing but reliable and cheap to run and its a nice upgrade from an E36
  6. Slaappppped the new wheels and tyres on the E39.. Much better!
  7. Yea mine is Non DSP also, Using BMW professional gear but the amp is already missing from my trunk so might be a bit more of a mission running stuff up to the headunit. Im keen to give this a go.. I still dont want a sub in my trunk though so maybe I just got to live with it and get one...
  8. Yea I quite like the system as is but with a bit more bass would be nice.. Yeah man maybe get some pics of it if you can. Im guessing your system is a DSP type? Would I benefit you reckon if I just put in a better amp and upgrade to a sub later on? I just dont like the look of having a sub in the trunk
  9. I might just have to do that then. I like the factory head unit and the sound from my speakers it just lacks on the bass end of the scale so to be able to hook up a sub and amp would be great
  10. Heino, you reckon this will work on E39 BMW Professional stereo?
  11. There is never anything decent going on in Auckland, Its something I may end up doing how ever, let us know if you find anything, need some back ups
  12. Bought new wheels for the E39 on Monday and shadowlined the window trim today...
  13. Welcome Summer, I have been expecting you. Certainly makes a nice change from Winter! Bet you havent heard that 200 times before.....
  14. Ive had two singapore BMW's none of which had any electrical issues, only issues they had were just normal things that go wrong on any car regardless of where its from...
  15. Speedy Signs in Takapuna did the ones on mums car, she also had Mercedes europlates which she wanted changed to suit her new BMW. The have a template at the shop which they use as they have done quite a few stickers for plates for people. Think it was about $60 or something...
  16. Mate that looks damn good! Love blue E39's. Top notch
  17. Looks way better man! Weird if they dont aim in the right place. I might go get mine checked tommorow otherwise WOF's will be mega gross
  18. Cheers for the help guys! Graeme Hughes has given me a good deal so Im going to get a piece painted by him and see how it comes out and if it looks crap I will probably go back to Precision or Evans European. But for the love of god please no one ever go to Newmarket European Panel...
  19. Saw a sweet looking E30 M325i the other night, BYF100 I think it was, I followed you from Herne Bay around Westhaven driving a silver E46 on that sweet harbour bridge detour. Car sounds so so good. Even my sister said she wants bigger engined E30 now haha
  20. Glad your after a 7. They are fantastic cars, and for some reason I do kinda perfer the prefacelift to an extent. I also second you with Singapore cars, all car are different. It just depends where you buy it and how well its been looked after. My old E36 Coupe was Singapore and never had any electrical issues which I was told I will have along with my 5-Series, all working and working well I must say. I have driven countless 745's and yes Li's are deffinatly the way to go! They always have better options and are just generally much cooler. Leather sometimes take quite a beating on the lighter coloured interiors but all and all are absolutley great cars. I'd have one in a heartbeat.
  21. Yeah cheers mate, We use them at work and I also used them on my old E36. Anyone know of any others?
  22. I know, I know. Its been covered before. I searched though all our old threads, damn 18 pages of it but kind of just came up empty handed. Im after a bodyshop to send a few brand new bits and pieces to, to be painted for my car. Was just wondering what your suggestion is, places your have dealt with in the past, what you got done and what damage did it to your wallet Ive sent a few quote requests out so just waiting on some responses, in the mean time I'll like to see who you guys can suggest. Cheers! Oh and you can PM if you wish not to have details on places or what you spent splashed around..
