If you have purchased extended AppleCare protection plan then it should be. Not sure if you only have standard warranty.

I guess this would have been one of early prototypes that I've seen in BMW museum. Actually looked good up close.

I'm sure many of you have seen this on their website - NZ Transport Agency is stopping the provision of the free information. No more free CarJam reports from 1st January 2011. We will prepare a full media release later this week.

White 2002 in Takapuna, looks like someone picked up new project car, it was missing few bits and pieces in the front. Also silver Z8 LHD in the city.

Yep seems to me that the system is more concerned with the rights of this scum. The system is too soft, I mean NZ has less population than some of the big cities elsewhere, and yet we seem unable to control the crime rate. For a country with population of just over 4 million, reading about murders, bashings, stabbings and shootings on almost daily basis is just unbelievable. If say police was to beat the sh*t out of the next dozen d*heads arrested for such crimes, I'm sure the rest would think twice about doing something similar in the future. Don't get me wrong, I don't like violence, but there is a certain part of society that just simply does not understand anything else.

Thats exactly why I got iPhone 4 few weeks back. Was looking at Android phones and even thought of waiting for Windows 7 Mobile, but at the end I got iPhone simply because there were too many choices when looking at Android ones. And TBH iPhone 4 is simply awesome - I've never been a big fan of Apple, only had a couple of iPods so far, but this is one great device. Retina Display + 5MP camera + HD video recording = win. Basically means that instead of having 4 separate devices (camera, phone, ipod and gps unit) I now have all in one. Highly recommended.

Ah yes, owner of that car valet is actually a mate of mine. Maybe try and get a good deal on BS group clean?

Pretty sure you have to pay to pplates.

Silver e30 m325 with german plates on jervois rd. Looked and sounded good

I guess that could happen, but again comes to driver education to slow down when yellow light comes on instead of speeding up.
-
Slightly OT, but since someone mentioned driving in Europe, why don't we employ the same traffic light system here? E.g. yellow goes on before green to let you know you need to start moving soon. It would be a cheap method of getting traffic to move quicker off lights and as a result may ease congestion a little bit.

Fair enough then, but if they are charging you $800 they should at least have decency to provide some sort of customer service. But as you say its obvious their customer service is non-existent.
-
As true as it may be, I still fail to see why it should make a difference to a consumer - if I bought something from a shop and it fails, I want to take it back to that same place, I'm not really interested in their relationship with their suppliers and so on. I'm pretty sure when you buy a plate from pplates they get sent to you without you having to contact Licensys. So I really don't see why it should be any different if there is a defect with plates that you bought.
-
You shouldn't have to go to Licensys directly - you bought the plates thru pplates so all your inquiries should be dealt by pplates. Its like buying a tv which then dies, and the shop tells you to contact manufacturer directly because well they didn't make the tv themselves, they just sell it. Arrogant pr*cks.

On a short 3km drive yesterday saw two cars run red light and one d*head almost took me out when he tried to move into my lane without realising that I was next to him. All this was in the city where you can't drive more than 40kmh anyway. So I guess the government's message is "drive slower and if you hit someone because of your own stupidity at least you have less chance of injuring someone". Ridiculous. Unless a tougher driver testing system is introduced there isn't going to be much change unfortunately.
-
If you paid $800 for a set of those plates you'd at least expect that paint would last for a while, call PPlates and ask them to provide replacement free of charge.

What do you use for for GPS navigation on your iPhone?
simke replied to simke's topic in General Discussion
^ Agree So Tom Tom it is. Whats the kit that you can buy like? Does it come with a charger? And does iPhone 4 fit in it? -
I'm looking for a good turn by turn GPS navigation app for iPhone and would like to hear experiences if you are using one. From what I've read on the net TomTom and Navigon are pretty good.
