Don't know the answer to that one sorry. I'm sure someone else on the forum will know if its possible or not. However I don't plan to sell parts separately.
-
None that I know of, sorry. I only used the car for 2-3 months, and did not have any engine trouble during that time.

They are, fully electric, including headrest...find them better than ones in my E46 actually.

Few months ago I drove E90 320d around Europe for couple of weeks and was more than impressed with the engine. Before picking it up I thought it would be crap to drive being 2l diesel, but I was very wrong. With 6 speed manual gearbox it moved around quite nicely. And the economy was unbelievable. If I was buying brand new euro today I'd definitely consider a diesel.

No multitasking, so its pretty much useless IMHO. What is the point of having a tablet (which I guess is meant to replace a notebook) if you can only run one application at once. Doesn't seem to offer much more functionality than an iPod Touch or iPhone.

How much? I did check the fuse that is in the box under rear seat (no. 47) appears to be fine.

Car wouldn't unlock, passenger or drivers side, could open the boot fine but it wouldn't unlock the doors as well. After lots of trying managed to unlock drivers door. Now windows and sunroof wont work, and locking is still stuffed - tried locking passenger door, didn't lock any other locks and can't unlock it again. Any ideas what this might be? Hopefully not too expensive to fix, especially since I don't intend to keep this car for long.
-
Will do. Would be good to post them here if anyone else is interested in having a look.
-
Go for it. I'm dropping off the car there on the 5th. Not sure if he has any photos now, unless they were given to him by Team McMillan (they did the initial assessment).
-
It's the subframe that's cracked. Don't think I can get any pics of it now, but it wasn't a pretty sight.
-
Got a call from Team McMillan today, new subframe has arrived from Germany, and the repairs are going to start on 5th of Jan, so I'll get my car back sometime towards the end of Jan. Very pleased with the outcome and customer service from BMW, A++.

Picked this up couple of days ago. Good condition for its age, and goes quite well. Full leather with sports seats. Ride is quite comfortable, also has an LSD (or so the previous owner says). 209000kms on the clock. I bought this to drive around until my E46 is fixed, and then I'll decide whether to keep it or to sell it.
-
But Yugo did have a cabrio version tho
-
From what I understand yes, they made the subframe stronger.

I'm possibly looking at buying another car to drive around while my beast is getting fixed, and saw this on TM. What do you guys think? Visit My Website

Didn't have a warranty, I guess they have covered it on the basis that this is a common problem with E46s built before 2001. Good on them for sorting this out.
-
Finally good news today - BMW have agreed to cover the cost of repairs, so I'm very pleased about this. Euro Collisions are going to carry out repairs. On the downside I won't have a car until all this is sorted out, which by the looks of things won't be this year. Maybe its time for a look for a cheap E30 to drive around in the meantime.
-
I guess that is true, I'm hoping they will pay for the repairs... they have already contacted Euro Collisions who have sent an estimate back to them, so I guess I'll hear back sometime next week... they said 1-2 working days. However they may not be able to do repairs till after xmas, and I kind of need the car during holidays, but not much I can do about that now. I've had the car for last 2 years, done about 35k kms during that time, no track days or anything like that, and its been well looked after by me and the previous owners.

Strange thing started happening this morning - when I log in, the home page becomes blank, and the top links (forum, marketplace, etc) lead to nowhere. I can get to the forums by typing in www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums, and after that it works fine. This happens in IE, FF and Chrome. I've attached a screenshot. Anyone else experienceing this?

Squeaking noise and I can feel a bit of movement in the rear that I haven't felt before... or maybe I'm just imagining. I can understand what jochen was explaining, stiff suspension, hard driving, etc... but still... you'd think they would design the car properly so that it could handle their own suspension and engine torque. If I wanted to drive like a granny I'd buy a Prius or something similar
-
Are you open on saturday? I can pop in to your workshop if you want to have a look. They said its safe to drive as long as I don't push it hard
-
None whatsoever...It does however have BMW's sport suspension which is very stiff (I'm sure you already know that ), and they told me it could be the cause of the problem. So I guess now I have to wait and see what is going to happen... but I'm not happy at all.
-
It had ripped next to the left rear mount and there is actually a hole that you can almost stick a finger through... looks really bad. I've noticed a funny squeaking noise recently coming from the back, so I took the car to BM Workshop for a check... couldn't believe it when I saw it. They said they've seen it fail on a few M3s but nothing near as bad as my one. Will try to get some photos if I can.
