To those plonkers here that called me racist........................ grow up. Or are you one of those radical left wingers. If you don't know, my partner is an Asian. In fact she's Singaporian Chinese, so I think I am the last person anyone should call racist.

I feel for John Key at the moment. There have been 3 major disasters in NZ in the last twelve months. The Christchurch earthquakes, Pike River, and now the Rena grounding. Already Phil Cough and his Labour Party are throwing the blame at National to try and earn brownie points for the next election. I know it's politics, but if he was any sort of a man he would be standing alongside John Key and doing whatever he could to help clean up this mess instead of his continual criticism. No wonder he is so low in the polls.

I believe we have a member here in Auckland who owns an E46 M3 CSL. I believe this member is an Asian. We are hoping he will allow us to display this car at the NZ Festival of BMW Motorsport in Jan next year. If anyone knows this person coculd they please post his forum name so that I can PM him with this request.

My E36 has 255. 35. 18's at the rear and 225. 40. 18's at the front. Handles well and looks good to boot.

Why on earth would you want to hang the sub woofer from the roof joists? A sub needs to sit on the floor so the low frequencies can vibrate through the floorboards and give you a real sense of bass.

E39 Touring - anyone had dealings with this caryard?
briancol replied to wolfman's topic in TradeMe discussions
It probably belongs to another dealer who needs to cash up some old stockers. -
Go on Mark, don't be a girl, just buy it, take it to gavin for a remap, then you and I can have some fun around the darker streets of Sth. Auckland.

I don't know where some members here get their knowlege about car prices? As a dealer for over thirty years, I can tell you that the car at Car City is not overpriced, and remember that the price is always negotiable. My suggestion to you is to contact the dealership and ask them to take the car to a specialist BMW service center for a pre purchase inspection. You will have to arrange and pay for the inspection (usually $125-150). You then use the results of that inspection to negotiate the purchase price. I don't know who owns Car City now, but the original owner was a friend of mine and was very reputable. -
At $24,995 it's a bit pricey. 4 door M3's, although rarer, are usually cheaper than coupes. And it's not an Evo either.

I've given C0SM0S back it's birthrite and put genuine BMW bonnet and boot badges on. Gone are the aftermarket //M ones.

Make sure when you order whichever car you decide to buy, that it is configured in Kms and not miles.

In an attempt to stay legit, I phoned Personalised Plates the other day to see how much it was to reprint my plate: cost $25.00, so I asked about Euro plates and was asked which colour blue or black? As my car is black, I said 'black" and was told they would cost $399.00. I queried this cost and why it cost 16 times the price for an extra 5 inches of aluminium and was told Euro plates were a "luxury" plate. What the f**k is luxurious about a sheet of painted Aluminium? I was then asked what sort of car I drove, I said BMW and was told that I could have the plates with "BMW" logo on them for $499.00. When I told the stupid woman that it was robbery, I was told that 'if I can afford a BMW then I can afford their "luxury" plates'. The conversation ended when I asked if 'Personalised Plates' was now part of the Addidas group because they were both ripping off the public of New Zealand.

C0SM0S got a new exhaust system yesterday. After trying a twin system from a 328 I still wasn't happy, so I took it to "Al's Mufflers" in Target Rd. and had an entire new system fitted. Gone are the "cats" and it now sports 2" twin pipes from the headers, a pair of 'Cobys' which go into a single pipe at the diff, then a sports muffler with an oval tail pipe. Driving it home yesterday I was surprised at the difference in performance. The car really wants to boogey, and the sound under torque is out of this world. I'm in heaven. Next step is a K&N panel filter, an E20 flywheel (lightened and balanced, then off to Gavin's for a remap). Should go bloody well after that.

I would like to buy an E36 M3 coupe interior if anyone knows of one for sale. Perhaps someone is stripping out a car for the track. It MUST be Black leather with vader seats and in good condition. Either PM me or phone me on 021 393334. Thanks. Brian.

Nice looking car, and welcome to Bimmersport. Where do you live?

If you are in South Auckland then PM me. A good friend is the head groomer at Team McMillen BMW, and although he's not cheap, I could get him to do your car for you.

Happy birthday Heath. Get into your little piglet and spin it till it squeals, or whatever else gives you thrills.

The problem has now been resolved. Had I told them about the wheels, my premium would have been $1.19 per month extra. I have had to pay them this amount back to when I took out the insurance (the sum total of $71.) I got the car back yesterday looking a million bucks again. I got the panelbeater to do a couple of small carpark dings and colour code the rear splitter for me and it does look good.

There is a dreamer who is advertising his 97 Evo in silver done 88,000kms. It was in Saturdays Herald again. It started at $32,000 but is now reduced to $28,500. Like I said, he's a dreamer.

There is nothing wrong with my wheels, the only damage is to the rear bumper and splitter and they are standard parts.
-
I know, but they maintain that if I had advised them of the 18" I would have had to pay a higher premium even though they are worth less than the original wheels.
-
I had a small bingle with C0SM0S, hit in the rear by another car. There's not much damage to mine, the rear splitter is broken and the bumper has paint knocked off it, so I took it into the panelbeaters and phoned the insurance company and put in a claim. Everything went well enough until they found I had 18" alloys, so now they are trying to refuse my claim on the grounds of non disclosure. The 18's I put on were second hand (Cost $1200 on Trade Me) and replaced a set of genuine 16" BMW Motorsport alloys which are probably worth more. I know Insurance companies are doing it hard at the moment and are looking for every opportunity to save money, but this is ridiculous. The alloys weren't a problem last time I made a claim. So make sure that your insurance company is advised of any changes you have made to your cars. You don't want the same thing happening to you.

Looks like I'm a right winger, but only just.
