  1. Check out this site. A Christmas Balloon Dance. http://www.toilette-humor.com:80/christmas..._balloons.shtml
  2. Why would you want to do this? You will lose an awful lot of power for starters.
  3. There's always one. This has got to be one of the funniest things in a long time.. I think this guy should have been promoted, not fired. This is a true story from the Word Perfect Helpline, which was transcribed from a recording monitoring the customer care department. Needless to say the Help Desk employee was fired; however, he/she is currently suing the Word Perfect organization for 'Termination without Cause'. Actual dialogue of a former WordPerfect Customer Support employee. (Now I know why they record these conversations!): Operator: 'Ridge Hall, computer assistance; may I help you?' Caller: 'Yes, well, I'm having trouble with WordPerfect.' Operator: 'What sort of trouble??' Caller: 'Well, I was just typing along, and all of a sudden the words went away.' Operator: 'Went away?' Caller: 'They disappeared.' Operator: 'Hmm So what does your screen look like now?' Caller: 'Nothing.' Operator: 'Nothing??' Caller: 'It's blank; it won't accept anything when I type.' Operator: 'Are you still in WordPerfect, or did you get out??' Caller: 'How do I tell?' Operator: 'Can you see the C: prompt on the screen??' Caller: 'What's a sea-prompt?' Operator: 'Never mind, can you move your cursor around the screen?' Caller: 'There isn't any cursor: I told you, it won't accept anything I type.' Operator: 'Does your monitor have a power indicator??' Caller: 'What's a monitor?' Operator: 'It's the thing with the screen on it that looks like a TV. Does it have a little light that tells you when it's on??' Caller: 'I don't know.' Operator: 'Well, then look on the back of the monitor and find where the power cord goes into it. Can you see that??' Caller: 'Yes, I think so.' Operator: 'Great. Follow the cord to the plug, and tell me if it's plugged into the wall. Caller: 'Yes, it is.' Operator: 'When you were behind the monitor, did you notice that there were two cables plugged into the back of it, not just one??' Caller: 'No.' Operator: 'Well, there are. I need you to look back there again and find the other cable.' Caller: 'Okay, here it is.' Operator: 'Follow it for me, and tell me if it's plugged securely into the back of your computer.' Caller: 'I can't reach.' Operator: 'Uh huh. Well, can you see if it is??' Caller: 'No.' Operator: 'Even if you maybe put your knee on something and lean way over??' Caller: 'Oh, it's not because I don't have the right angle - it's because it's dark.' Operator: 'Dark??' Caller: 'Yes - the office light is off, and the only light I have is coming in from the window. ' Operator: 'Well, turn on the office light then.' Caller: 'I can't.' Operator: 'No? Why not??' Caller: 'Because there's a power failure.' Operator: 'A power......... A power failure? Aha, Okay, we've got it licked now. Do you still have the boxes and manuals and packing stuff your computer came in??' Caller: 'Well, yes, I keep them in the closet.' Operator: 'Good. Go get them, and unplug your system and pack it up just like it was when you got it.. Then take it back to the store you bought it from.' Caller: 'Really? Is it that bad?' Operator: 'Yes, I'm afraid it is.' Caller: 'Well, all right then, I suppose. What do I tell them??' Operator: 'Tell them you're too ******* stupid to own a computer!!!!!'
  4. Just had all the hood lining replaced is the car. Did the A & C pillars at the same time and will be doing the parcel shelf in the very near future. It looks so much better without all the saggy bits.
  5. Now I'm showing my age. This was my first cell phone way back in 1989, and I've stuck with Motorola ever since but the new ones aren't as good as the old "Brick". They do a lot more things now, but they're not as robust.

    Miners

I have a theory that this can all be put down to the recent Canterbury earthquakes. Perhaps these quakes could have opened a fissure somewhere in the mine that had opened a pathway to a large gas reserve which has caused this gas leak. Just my 2c worth.
  7. Get hold of Gavin at Euro Italian. Ph: (09) 444 9817 Fax: (09) 444 4755 Email: ento@clear.net.nz
  8. Contact Keith at Jamex springs in Penrose Ph. 580 1300 He will see you right at a special Bimmersport price.
  9. You accused me of keeping my birthday quiet, well this takes the cake ya bugga. Have a great birthday mate. I know you will be hung over after last nights activities and you've got a long drive home, but have a great day and I'll see you next trip. Cheers Mate!!!!!
  10. I pulled all the interior lining out to get the hood and pillars recovered. It's been sagging badly for ages, so I thought it was time to get it done. I've been procrastinating about it for far too long.
  11. Thanks everyone. Bravo, every days a day off for me these days. Zenetti, starting from home very soon, mates coming around (session) off for lunch at Broncos then to Fibbers for the Birthday shout. should be a good day. resident know it all, Can you hear it from your place yet, or do I need to turn it up more. Pjay, I'll keep you to that. Blackie, Okay, I'll bring the sausages on Saturday Jamez, I'm actually losing a few //M's and going back to propellors, The wheel centres at least. Finally, Silver Fox, don't worry you will catch up to me soon.
  12. I've had it on E Bay UK for 25k pounds and had a lot of response, but people don't want to ship it all the way over there. Besides, it has that NZ connection which makes it an easier sell in NZ.
  13. These things DO happen. Check my thread on "Yesterdays Barn Find".
  14. It is now on Trade Me. http://www.trademe.co.nz/browse/listing.aspx?id=332219338 9 on the watchlist after only 12 hours
  15. Only in America...................... and this occured just last month. http://www.waltonandjohnson.com/showarchives.html?n_id=933
  16. What an ungrateful bastard. He's been given a BMW to use free for a year and he got the 'poverty pack' version. What the hell did he expect? a bloody M3 convertable. I just wonder what sort of shitter he owned before he was GIVEN this Beemer.
  17. Forget ASB. Their internet banking charges are horrendous. A person recently was charged $2.00 for just adding a name to his 'Payee" list, then after he found he had made a spelling mistake in the name, was charged another $2.00 when he changed it. Also ASB at the moment are trying to change their interest only mortgages into Principal and Interest loans, no good for anyone with investment properties.
  18. I want to do the exhaust system on my car. First job is to remove the cat converter, but I want a really good note out of the system. I'm not looking for lots of performance as I don't race the car. My thoughts at the moment are to remove the existing system, remove the cat, weld in an extension with a Y yoke to attach to the headers, and put on a standard 1 in and 2 out muffler. (the car only has a single pipe). Using a standard BMW muffler should keep the back pressure and give a good note without haveing to add a Kobie. What have others done? and do you have any suggestions. For those who don't know my car, it's an E36 323 //M coupe.
  19. Check the diameter of your existing lighter compared to the one you are buying, there are various sizes in the BMW range. I have a chrome ///M cigarette lighter which wont fit my E36 coupe but will fit an E36 compact. It even glows when you push it on. You can have mine for $20.00 + postage.
  20. I had the front of "C0SM0S" lowered on Friday. After the manual conversion the front end had risen a little (I believe there is a 40 kg difference between the manual box and the Jatco) so I saw Keith at Jamex and he put new springs in the front lowering it by about 20 mils. The wheel arches are nicely filled out and the car has her old stance back again. Thanks to Keith at Jamex for an excellent job.
  21. Talk to Jono at Mag & Trye Direct he should be able to help you there.
  22. That engine sounds great especially under power. Pulls like a room full of 16 year old schoolboys.
  23. Just don't forget the bimmersport Auckland Anniversary Day cruise & bbq will be on 31st Jan next year so make sure you diarise that day. Plenty of things planned including a 'show 'n' shine. I will be posting the details later this month.
