  1. Castor bushes are in and the rest of the longer studs have arrived. Man I dont know how you guys can seriously use a hacksaw to get those castor rings off.. I spent about 2 mins with the hacksaw and thought "f**k this!" then grabbed out the old trusty angle grinder.. was off in about 20 seconds! Anyway, car is in need of a serious alignment. But I need to sort out this boss kit before anything else happens.. I've also ripped apart the interior again and painted the speedo needles. Wank wank i know! /Edit - Before anyone says anything.. I'd just emptied 3 cans of degreaser underneath it
  2. Haha no worries dude, painting rockercovers is pretty easy though. Just pull the cover off, use lots of wax and grease remover and make sure there is no dirt still left on it. Then just start with nice light coats and make sure you clear over the top. Or, if your lazy like me... get your friend who's a car painter to do it! Good wine can be a powerful thing! People will argue you need temperature resistant paint, blah blah... Just use good quality sh*t, a reasonable amount of coats and you'll be fine. Here's a pic of my old rockercover - Pics don't do it justice.. PPG bling represent!
  3. Awesome cheers dude, had a feeling thats what the hacksaw was for haha! I have got everything apart and just need to get that ring off before pushing the new bushes in and onto the LCAS. No rush on the pics, enjoy your day off!! Haha thanks. Err paint what?
  4. Go go lucky wind of the mountain for the driving pleasure brace! LED numberplate lights. Gahaha Junk I need to take to the tip.
  5. Both front and rear toe? Mini update: I attacked the castor bushes swap this afternoon. I managed to burn the old bushes from the LCA's and chisel that stupid metal ring out of the bracket. Although I need to remove the center metal ring which is still stuck on the end of the LCA's. Might borrow my friends gear puller for that.. or.. if anyone else has a suggestion? I will probably end up painting the brackets while they're out. Hopefully the instructions I recieve help with putting them back in Pics of the carnage to follow..
  6. Thanks buddy. If that boss kits up for sale you know it's so mine! Have a good christmas btw dude! Sweet - Will book it in with Pete next year. PS - do E30's have any factory camber, castor, toe adjustment? Thanks, Matt
  7. Thanks heaps mate, but sadly I don't have a vice Hence why I havent even given it a crack. If any BS member does have a vice and is keen then I can fund either via alcohol or cash! /Edit - f**k it. If you could flick me some instructions that would be brilliant. I was thinking about heating her up, using some grease and then smashing it in. Then I was going to sort out the castor bushes ..
  8. Dirty.. haha. How do you feel when I tell you that it lights up and has two speeds! Thanks mate! Fingers crossed that I can swiftly sort the bosskit and wheel nuts then its off to get an alignment. Who's good on the North Shore for alignments thesedays? Note I cant take it to my normal shop because they dont have a press and I need to get those castor bushes pushed in.
  9. Im trying to get to a track day on the 11th of Jan but its not looking promising pssst... Boss Kit
  10. Brakes are bled and rear is complete! I still need to order 16 longer wheel studs from Repco before I can drop the front down and put spacers on the rear. But shes not too far off now.. Interior is back together and doesnt smell anymore Rear is all back together and on the ground. This gives you an idea of the rear fitment after I attacked the guards. Although I can't use the spacers yet because I need those longer wheel nuts

  13. Haha, well for the amount in coins, dust, and general gunkage that came out it was worth it for the weight reduction Shits gotta' be pimp yo!

    1988 E30 Touring

Totally dig it bro, looks banging! Pretty much perfect apart from that offset IMO. Nothing that some 10mm slip on spacers couldnt fix! Damn.. white looks good!
  18. Facelift front bumper or rear? I'll take the rear, I'm on the shore too 021 172 7782 if its the rear. Thanks! Matt

Depends.. Are you driving in Auckland?
  20. That would be awesome dude. Just flick up a pic of what you've got and we can roll from there. Yep thats the plan if you check out my build thread. Just want to make sure things fit first! Thanks lads! Matt
  21. No worries bud, I am trying to track down some longer wheel nuts if you still have any? Yes your correct, tyres are 197/50/16's Haha thanks bro! I have really been rather lazy! Yeah the plan is to check out JiB's bosskit and see if it'll fit mine. Then if it does we'll just bounce over to supercheap and use that part# Haha thanks bro - i know, i know.. im trying! Thanks mate! I'm not so interested in power for a car thats realistically going to be my daily (well not at this stage ) I'm remotivated and it's update time! All I can say for this one is... Goodbye to my 56k friends! Okay so.. While waiting for some bits to arrive I decided on my lunch break today I was going to get some leather reconditioner crap. I myself, never having owned a car with leather and for the first time actually having a complete interior was totally foreign to the cleaning products avaliable. So naturally I headed to the local leather experts.. The saddlery warehouse! I puchased a very pricy $12 tub of black saddle wax and set to work. French? Italian? German? whatever.. its not english and I have no idea what it says. Probably made from horse. This kind of cracking is everywhere. I removed the seats only to find some more of Whangarei! in the form of oil, mud and grease.. yum, thanks so much! (photos dont do the mess justice) Passenger side crap. Cleaned ready to feed a family off. When I was removing the seats I noticed this factory spec instructional sticker. Poor bastard at the factory must have had a bad day... Leather looks better now huh? Go 12 dollars baby go! Letting it all dry.. More pics once its all dried and back in the car tomorrow. /Edit - Dear Germany, Those rear seat bracket mounts are retarded, most normal sized 17mm spanners dont fit. Sort your sh*t out before I blitzkrieg your asses. Kind Regards, Matt
  22. sh*t... hahaha.. I totally sold my old steering wheel to fund the new one.. selfowned. I've been through 3 at Repco with no joy. JiB however has a HKB one so i'm going to get him to pop around and grab the PN# off that. Sadly Jonvy and Synthe dont have any stock. I'll let you know if I have any luck Dan. Cheers, Matt
