Im getting my rear bits through tyremate. Emailed them the other day easily enough. Maybe give them a call? Cheers, Matt

Choice project - keep the pic's coming.

Hi Ben, Personally I think you would have more selling luck full FRP copies, instead of poping a layer of CF over the top. IMO even still, thats pretty dear for a copy (unless your adding the DTM style ABS splitter - in which case it seems more reasonable) Also bear in mind that you can land a Genuine Front spoiler Infinity in ABS plastic for around/under the $500 NZD mark Inc GST (if you are unfortunate enough to get stung at customs) Now if you said $200-250 for an FRP copy with no CF... Well just let me know where I need to deposit the money! Choice idea though dude; but yeah.. i'd just see you selling more of the plain FRP style ones.

I dig it. Running it on a few test machines at work. Going to install it on my work PC shortly.

GGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAASEEEEWWOOEEHHH.... YYYOOOOOHHH..... OOWHHH I think i got it.

Got mine from pick-a-part yo. I prefer the pedals with the rubber. Too many times my feet have slipped off the brake pedal in my older cars.. Not good! No glove no love.
-
If they hate then let them hate and watch the money pile up! I don't if you saw this pic of my junker but I quite liked the PFL valence on it. I'm only ditching it in favour of a IS front lip. You heading up to AKL anytime soon? I won't be needing mine anymore and its already got slits to let it bend the mounting holes for zipties. Your welcome to have it in exchange for some booze or whatever.

You've got a PM dude. Hit me with a price you want to move it fore, I've got cash and are ready to go go go! Will love you long time. Cheers, M

How do you remove rear swaybar links on e34
Mattzy replied to Creaver's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Just a pocket blowtorch normally works mate. But swaybar links can't be that bad tho?! This: DSE link -
Cheers mate, but its really not that expensive because I do as much as I can by an myself. And if I can't do it i'll get one of my friends to give me a hand. Also the larger more expensive parts are often much cheaper (not so much atm) when sourced from overseas.. just takes a little hunting and a few emails.

Bro. Thats got TV's in its TV's! Thanks Xzibit Holla

Haha dont go saying it too loudly dude, might start a witch-hunt from the Euro purists! Anyway, Nothing really super-crazy to report. Other than I had a mate come around today and help me do all the panel gaps. To get all the doors working as they should be (ie opening ) Definately a bonus having panel beater and car painter trades as friends! BRS pointed me to a good NZ supplier for FRP Mtech-II kits (cheers dude!). But it looks like the side mouldings and rear bumper is still going to be around $800ish + I need some more aero for the front. Fu*k this crap is retarded expensive. My last FULL FRP kit was $250. And I need wingmirrors ARHghghwahHWHWHWHGHRHGhrr I want those RADICAL group-A DTM ones. I think im going to get some. /End aero rage I also picked up my new sparky things to replace the old sparky things: Have a some pics of Dave Blunts E30. Note the wing. Note how awesome it is. Note how you need some!
-
Yeah bro for sure! Kinda thinking I need 20mm's on the rear.. Get some of that -12 offset going on! Heard you sold your E30? Haha epic threads lads. Cheers for the support! PS stop bidding on the AC front lip on Trademe
-
Hmm yeah, I will have to look into importing from SA - Cheers for that dude. Haha I had a couple of guards when I picked the car up but they had sadly seen much better days. Let me know when you get it and I can give you a hand if you get stuck. (I got both of mine from Pick-A-part for stupidly cheap.. so keep your eyes out!) Anyway new Aero pics as promised: I picked the skirts up pretty cheap but things were rather ghetto. Some monkey had riveted a piece of metal then bogged over it. WTF.. Bog?!.. on FRP?! So I've started repairing it and with a bit of sanding and filler things should come out pretty nice. De-bogged and fiberglassing started. After a quick sanding. Mocked up And again! /Edited - because I dont make sense sometimes..

Hey bud, how much for the bonnet? Could be keen if its straight and rust free. Cheers, Matt

Alright so during my travels to pick up the sideskirts on Saturday the car started leaking coolant. I suspect a coolant hose has given up after crawling through some of Auckland’s fine traffic. Strangely though the leak is coming from the back of the engine I'll have to jack it up and have a look.. Anyway, I spent most of the weekend drinking (and recovering from the previous nights drinking) so naturally spent more time chilling out than working on the car. However on Saturday arvo I did start repairing and reinforcing the sideskirts with some more fiberglass. They are still going to need a bit of work, probably some filler and another sanding but should come up pretty nicely once done. (pics to come when I get home) I also went over the car again and picked up a few more dents, scratches and general blemishes that you would expect from a car that’s done sweet jumps through the odd paddock. Cheers bro! I'd like a complete kit but aren’t really fussed. I saw some cool looking FRP front lips on EBay but by the time I get them to my door they are well over $250 nzd. And for fiberglass copies that's hell expensive! I'm looking at either an Ac schnitzer spoiler or Rieger Infinity lip for the front, but am finding it rather difficult to find different flavours for the rear. Haha I would absolutely love to paint it something mental.. But I’m being sensible.. (ish) The paint will be a slightly altered BMW colour. And... Guess! All I’m hinting is that it’s not going to be black PS - That Porsche is mad!
-
Thanks mate! Haha it just might be. Or maybe it might not! Ah realisticly its about 4+ weeks away.. Before the paint booth I still need to sort out: Aftermarket rear bumper Non cracked rear bash bar/bumper thing Non rusted bonnet Aftermarket wingmirrors Borrow my friends guard roller to finish the rear guards Mock up the sideskirts Finish the rest of the panel work + more? Mostly it's buying stuff.. Which sucks
-
Alright gents! Its time to prep the car for paint. Mad props to my friend Ben for helping me with this (dude you and your thrust sanding is epic haha!) We spent roughly 4 hours working over the car pulling, sanding, bogging and painting (Oh and drinking!). And although we probably have another few hours to still go its definitely looking much much straighter now! I also shadowninja'd that chrome like you lads said And I have tried to make this 56k friendly (seriously 56k?!) Get some: One for the ladies.. And one for the road! Cheers for viewing, Matt

Haha could potentially be a language thing! I'll check out the steering bush tonight. I wouldnt think that its rack ends because these are brand new. Maybe the actual rack itself is on its way out Trademizzle yo! Ghetto looking replicas They should look good after I tidy them up. They're only FRP copies so im not expecting much intially, but hopefully they're not too far out and I can make em' work. Got them cheap enough so no biggie.. Would be rad if I could try your looped one. Might even get you to take the car for a hack so we can compare things. My suspension feels good, its just the steering that makes me cry myself to sleep.. Haha well you know..
