If they don't work out, I just had my E38's ariconditioning redone by Saxton Autos. They did a great job. http://yellow.co.nz/companies/Brake-&-...364066_382.html

I think you are right about it being an NZ spec because it is clearly not Japanese spec. The only other option is that it is a Singapore import (as they are Euro spec) and he was confused on the country of origin. However, that wouldn't explain the 1/00 first reg in NZ and the NZ spec key. BUt, I'm not convinced that it has had a smack though. It does still have the PDC on the front. You can see them in the black rub strips in this photo: Also the 5ers I have seen only have two PDC sensors each front and rear rather than the eight (four front and rear) on the 7s.

Is it just my eyes or is the OOOOOO F40 missing the F40 embossed on the rear quarter/spoiler?

Unless there is another one in New Zealand it is already road registered and has been for a while. I took this photo in Auckland in February this year:

Yeah, those certificates of entitlements sure are a bitch. Especially as the government has decided to cut the quota by 30% this year so you can imagine what that is going to do to the prices! I haven't seen many of the Nissan Crews around. They seem to have been replaced by Taxi-spec Hyundai Sonatas. I am getting plenty of seat time in the Toyota Comforts though, they are everywhere! And these too: Still both are better than the Taxis I had to put up with in India: Now those are both serious candidates for 1JZ or RB25 transplants!!

Actually there are some pretty good roads and you can get up some decent speeds. Street racing is also fairly popular here. I am kind of afraid as to what the Singapore heat/humidity would do to those Italian electrics though....

Dude who's the hotty in the background with the blue plastic bag?
-
Nope, have a closer look at the intakes they are the rounder style of the standard F430 not the squarer shape with mesh. Also it had the standard rear bumper and exhaust outlets.

The only other photos I have of the 512/M are from the side. It had moved by the time I got across the street. The F430 was just a coupe, but it did have a the 360 style Challenge Stradale Stripes and Wheels. The Scuderia has a different front splitter

I'm currently working in Singapore (well with a bit of time spent in India for good measure) and am really all of the car-based eye candy around. I thought that I would share some of the them with you: Bentleys Continental GT (outside my hotel) Continental Flying Spur Continental Flying Spur Ferraris Ferrari F430 Spyder (outside my hotel) Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale (outside my hotel) Ferrari F430 Spyder Ferrari 512TR (Strangely it had a F355 front) Ferrari F430 Spyder Ferrari F430 Coupe Ferrari 612 Ferrari 360 Spyder Ferrari F430 Spyder (outside my hotel)

Cool, thanks guys. I'll have a shot at this when I get back from Singapore. I've been wanting to get rid of the ambers for a while, but don't like the clear, crystal or smoked look.

Does the light glow red when you indicate or does it still come through with an orange tinge from the plastic beneath? Also where abouts did you buy the paint from?
-
Lol. I am splitting my time between Singapore and India at the moment and I managed to snap this the other day: It is a new Nissan Micra turned into a Jaguar Mark II replica. It is called the Mitsuoka Viewt and you can buy them straight from like this.

These always really irritate me so much. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-168698426.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-176215845.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-175213175.htm (what's up with the photoshopped alloys?) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-169397410.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-176224505.htm Who are they hoping to fool? If the person knows enough about cars to know what an HSV is they are going to know enough to tell that these are obvious fakes, and if they don't know what an HSV is then they are just going to think that it is another old Commodore.

I nominate this one for his general asshatness, M7 badge, bullet proof windows and 1000kms range. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-174225806.htm or this one: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-176309098.htm

I'd say the M6 is the true bargain for $12k and 50kms
-
Definitely not to my taste. I don't get why people do this. If you are going to paint your car a standout colour and "bling" it out you obviously want people to look at your ride. All well and good until you open the bonnet/boot/doors then it just looks nasty. I hope that the car wasn't white or red beforehand or that is going to look seriously bad.
-
I saw that or one very similar (please tell me there aren't two of those) driving around Auckland last time I was up there. If possible it looks much worse in real life. It really kills the lines of the M3 and the paint and kit looks really cheaply finished.

I am pretty sure that the 925 Shipping Protection Package is a rustproofing coating and other protection (eg to the doors/bonnet and wheels) applied during the shipping of its car prior to delivery to the first owner. 807 Japan Version will be the package to make the car compliant to the Japanese market. Eg Smaller numberplate surround, Japanese spec stereo etc. 441 Smoker Package is the cigarette lighters and ashtrays

Or wants to take it for a thrash and thinks that putting in a low bid will give him enough credibility to get the keys....

Just out of interest how long does it take you to strip a car to that point?
