  2. Just wanting to know if this is a thing people do or have tried? Im considering doing it to my wheels at the moment as i really can't be bothered buying a new set etc etc. What places do these sorts of things? Has anyone tried it before? Roughly what cost would i be looking at etc....
  3. ^ yup, they do them down the road from me in Mt Wellington they have some in stock
  4. ^ +1 Looks bloody good though, and for some reason 2 letter number plates dont do it for me, would look cool with 3 letters and 3 numbers
  5. Spent all day today polishing and waxing the 840, totally forgot about it for the past month even though it sits next to the other car in the garage time to bust it out tomorrow i think
  6. If you think those are big, wait til you see the New M5 brakes. Three words. Oh My God

  8. Correct, hopefully they will be nice enough to let him bring it home for a drive.EDIT: Have you seen the BMW book with all the information from planes to the latest i8? a good 200 pages?
  9. When i have the rear seats down it sounds good as there is plenty of bass coming through the ports but i don't want to have to drive around with the seats down. As soon as i put them up the boot becomes a sound enclosure in itself and blocks all of it, the inclosure was custom made to the boot so sealed off the rear to the front, hence why i ported it. Yeah, same as my sedan, when the seats were down, was much louder as its not enclosed in the boot, but when its up its limited to noise etc. And it also might be the amp? I swapped amps half way through the year, my amp wasn't running my 15 at all, was barely running it in, so had to upgrade to a huge amp to make the sub run to its full potential
  10. +1 ^ had the Vega and upgraded to Soundstream, will never look back
  11. By looking at the photos, your old sub had a much bigger box, compared to this slim one which doesnt move air as freely as it likes to. In my wagon, i have a box that almost takes up the whole boot, and the loudness/sound quality/bass that is hundred times better then having a standard 15 inch box in it. And facing my sub forwards, doesnt generate anywhere as near as what it does facing the back, as it is bouncing off the rear door and into my ears
  12. Replaced the missing foglight and FINALLY got rid of the only chrome bit on my car, grills, and replaced it with black ones. Looks ten times better! EDIT: while there is no work on at the moment, we are building a new sub box for my car so i can have two 15inch subs
  13. Suzuki Swift trailer.... Maybe a mini.
  14. Wouldn't be suprised if BMW are having it there, will have to ask. Has to persuade BMW to let him bring it home! lol

  16. Your wallet will be glad it was only a couple of bolts and nothing too major
  17. Wonder if it would get insane speed wobbles getting up to 50km/h
  18. This is the oldest motor vehicle car in the world that still runs. It was built one year before Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler invented the internal combustion engine. The world's oldest running motor vehicle has been sold at auction for an astonishing $4.62 million (R36.5-million), more than double the pre-sale estimate, as two bidders chased the price up in a three-minute bidding war. The 1884 De Dion Bouton et Trepardoux Dos-a-Dos Steam Runabout drew a standing ovation as it was driven up onto the stageat Friday's RM Auction in Hershey, Pennsylvania - to prove that this 127-year-old car really does run! - and attracted a starting bid of $500 000, which was immediately doubled to $1 million. Encouraged by the applauding crowd, the bidding went swiftly up to $4.2 million (R33 million) - 4.62 million (R36.5 million) including the 10 percent commission - before the car was knocked down to a unnamed buyer. The Dos-a-Dos (Back-to-Back) Steam Runabout was built in 1884 by George Bouton and Charles-Armand Trepardoux for French entrepreneur Count de Dion, who named it 'La Marquise' after his mother. In 1887, with De Dion at the tiller, it won the world's first ever motor race (it was the only entrant to make the start line!) covering the 32km from the Pont de Neuilly in Paris to Versailles and back in one hour and 14 minutes (an average of 25.9km/h) and, according to contemporary reports, hitting a breathtaking 60km/h on the straights! La Marquise has only had four owners, remaining in one family for 81 years, and has been restored twice, once by the Doriol family and again by British collector Tom Moore in the early 1990's. Since then, it has taken part in four London-to-Brightonruns and collected a double gold at the 1997 Pebble Beach d'Elegance in California.

    Quick Questions

In my 2004 e46 s/w when im driving up hills in 5th gear (tiptronic) it doesnt go anywhere at all, even the slightest hill, if im in fifth gear, i put my foot flat to the floor and the revs dont go anywhere, its as if the car is off, but once you click the accelerator into the button at the bottom, it instantly jumps down to third and redlines like crazy and then i have to put it into 4th, so now just dont bother driving in 5th gear. Any reason for this or is it not powerful enough to go up a hill in 5th? Haha
