Mainfreight depot to depot is what I use when I'm sending bulky parts around the country.

I have an E30 325i Radiator (facelift) for sale. Very good condition, out of a manual M325i (I doubt it's any different to a regular E30 325i radiator) Will trade for a good condition pre-facelift 325i Auto radiator, otherwise $100 Can send NZ wide. Thanks.

Link / Similar ECU would be my first port of call after intake/exhaust. Most people don't really get into the ECUs with N/A which is surprising as given a dollar for hp scale they usually provide quite a good return.

Mine's fibreglass - You can have the kit if we add the door cards to the one parcel to reduce shipping.

Sent you a text about the kit, door cards and pedal box + lines.

James here, back from the holi. Traced the problem firstly down to the rear 50amp fuse (hidden under heatshrink next the battery in the boot) - this connection broken would allow the car to crank and not start however all the dash lights and everything would come on. I intend to put a new 50 amp fuse in the back in place of the factory wire one, which will make it a bit more replaceable. The second problem was a bad connection to the alarm (at the plug) in the engine bay. I cleaned up the connections and put a bit of solder in them to get them nice and tight again. This problem as antil33t pointed out would totally immobilise the car and no power would get to the ignition.

I can confirm I get the same whooshing sound except it's from inside the car where the brake 'bar' (the bar used to press the master cylinder on the other side of the car - BMW cheaped out the right hand drive conversion) goes through the firewall, with the noise coming from the rubber boot. The brakes in RHD E30s will never feel as responsive/good as LHD cars with considerably less distance between the pedal and master cylinder.

Cheers for that, have passed that info on. He has a question. The 50 amp fuse next to battery in boot looks a bit dodgy, has a makeshift repair done on it,(soldered). What does this fuse control/protect?

Fuses have been checked and hes been told to check relay ( and relay pins for corrosion etc ) + grounds. Yes it does have an immobilizer.

Hi all, Posting this on behalf of son James (Surge) He is currently on a road trip and car (E30 325 '88) Died at Springs Junction. Managed to restart and got to Motueka where same thing happened. Dash lights would go out and engine cut out, all other lighting remains on. Sorry cant provide any more specific details but any thoughts will be relayed to him. Or if you are inclined give him a call on 027-200-5693. Cheers Dave

Go to any dealer in town and ask who does their grooming - and use them. We buff every car we get through work (but we are in CHCH)

Microchips-Tuning performance chip for M60 / 540i
Surge replied to sammcj2000's topic in Performance
8% tell him he's dreaming. It will prob raise the rev limiter and advance the timing. -
The old 325i has different wheels now and I've seen it around CHCH a few times. I've never seen my old e36 320i (I owned it longer than you so it's my old car haha) The alfa's rego has been cancelled (assumed written off) I've seen a few seedy old men drive Triumphs in that dazzling mustard colour.

Camera is shot, will still try to get some pics (may be some time..) - $120 can now have the lot.

The front is in the best condition (straight as, chrome is good) - it needs the plastics to go on it though, ideal if your chrome bumper is a bit ratty/damaged - $60.00 The rear bumper has the main plastic inner (no end caps) and is straight but the chrome is slightly pitted - $50.00 And a DTM Style chrome exhaust, I imagine this would add some volume to your E30, quite big tips - single inlet. One outlet is a tad bent but I'll try to get it into shape, and the bottom has a few scratches (can't see when installed) - $60.00 Pics up tomorrow! Located in CHCH, Central. Can ship if need be.

Decent! I've got a pile of them.

Wicked. Yeah I hear a slight tick in the passenger footwell when I play with wires in the drivers door jamb. Can you identify this relay in the footwell any further? From what I've read I didn't think there was anything to do with the central locking in the pass footwell.

My E30 325i (1986) has deadlocked itself, incluidng the fuel cap (so I can't put petrol in) - nor open the boot. I've managed to get into the car via the passenger door and unlock the drivers door (by removing the door card) but still can't figure out how to open the boot and the fuel cap. I've read over a fair few DIY e30 locking pages, but can't figure out how to energise the locks to open the boot + fuel cap. I've tried a few central locking units to no avail (the ones below the passenger speaker) - any ideas? Cheers

Bump, $150 need them gone. Cheers guys.

If you're bored and have $700 for an engine, and $400 for a cert... You can always chuck a gt starlet motor in one of these for maximum lols.
