  1. No, tyre control will be an export preparation on the car, just as the shipping protection is.
  2. 220km from Auckland to Tauranga and about another 100km to Opotiki. 3.5-4 hours depending on traffic. Using SH27 through Matamata is an equally easy drive and has more passing opportunites. If you do that route on the way down, then you get to rip up the Kaimai Ranges which is always great fun in a BMW. Going down them isn't as much fun. Then I'd come back via SH2 through Waihi and Paeroa as the drive through Karangahake gorge is nice. Simon's route is technically the easiest and probably the fastest route too.
  3. You'll love the power and economy from the 540. Just don't switch the traction control off in the wet until you've had it a while! Take it for a road trip for a week-end, you'll love it even more.
  4. Well done and a very nice car to do such a road trip in too.
  5. Great photos of some very nice cars. Looks like an awesome day. Thank you

    Headphones

Blackbox for me. They are awesome. And they are an NZ product.
  7. Good plan. Rod and I were discussing this over breakfast at the office today. My front plate has disappeared and I need to replace it. Outside of the need for a 2nd tool, I doubt the actual manufacturing costs are significantly different.
  8. Well Braeden, when you get there. Stroll across to Wormald and ask the receptionist if I am in. Likely, that I'm away. But it'll be nice to meet another Bimmersporter. There are 2 more in our office.
  9. New Lynn, Blockhouse Bay, Green Bay, Kaurilands, Titirangi, Mt Albert, Avondale. And Yes, I have a company car, so I drive that. It doesn't go anywhere near as hard as the 540LE. And when you do (in the BMW), it does spill my coffee. Ergo, one is a driver's car, one isn't. I spend more each day on coffee than I do on diesel. You'll love Auckland. We're wonderful people and the traffic isn't as bad as everyone makes out.
  10. My pleasure! I also don't give a f*ck. Especially if you live over the Shore or South of the Bombays.
  11. So you work for HRV or Wormald then. And I disagree, as long as you aren't coming from the West, Portage Rd is easy to get to. It takes me 36 minutes from my cafe in Glendowie to get to the office, taking the slow route around the Waterfront. There is a faster one that can shave 5 minutes of my time, but I can't drink my Latte in peace. And the same time home. Just avoid the Southern Motorway, Greenlane Roundabout and driving in from Massey or the Shore and you'll be fine.
  12. You've never had anything that has been 10" Simon. Car looks great. Get Turbine II's that's a real wheel. Creaver, as long as you don't go beyond the 25mm drop that the M5 suspension had, you won't have a problem with clearance. Actually, they had 9" rear and 8" front, so on 2nd thoughts. WTF do I know.
  13. Happy Birthday Paul, sorry I'm late!
  14. Wheels? I barely saw the car. I hope she didn't scratch the paint Riley. Well done!
  15. I did find it and didn't buy it as it was an article on a Limited Edition M5, rather than a 540iS. Maybe, I'll go back and get it soon.
  16. It's up there. The 8C is still nicer.
  17. I'll see if I can get it before I fly out. Otherwise, I'll grab one in Sydney next week. Thanks
