  1. Shameless plug for my mate he is selling his E30 here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-349979425.htm Very tidy, was owned by his nana beforehand, so is in very good 'sunday driven' condition. I have done a bit of work on it for him, installed the springs and exhaust which came out of my old E30. Would make a sweet daily. Cheers, Nathan

    Drift trikes -

Jesus I love your work Henry. Down with the PC c**p, should be more worried about catching real criminals.
  3. If your heart is set on it, do a search on here there are plenty of threads. After going for a ride in a M52 E30 that would be what I would do instead, or M54. IMO if you want more grunt get a M20 2.5, 500 bucks will get you a reasonable one, have plenty of power to get into to trouble anyway.
  4. So badass bro, keep it up looking awesome.
  5. Agree with Greg and Ashkan wholeheartedly, thought this should've been posted in the friday funnies.
  6. Cheers Glenn, I will give you a call tomorrow afternoon.
  7. Bitta shopping done in the last week or two. Pelican parts earns a killing out of me, brought; water pump, timing belt kit, PP bolts, pedal rubbers, thermostat and assoc. gaskets, crank seal, rear main seal, sump gasket and exhaust manifold gaskets. Have organised a set of delrin rear subframe and diff mount from Kerry at Mosens. Not a lot more to order before all the pieces of the puzzle are here, mainly need a slave cylinder, clutch release bearing and driveshaft hanger mount, and get the flywheel lightened. Is 6kg safe enough for a cast fly? Now that the LSD in my own car is leaking I am half tempted to use the one Dad brought for his car in my own then get this one rebuilt and ramped up, same ratio and everything so it wouldn't be an issue. Rear boot has now been stripped, just need to work out how to remove the long range fuel tank and that'l be sorted. Going to Hampton Downs this weekend for the Chris Amon Festival then it will be game on after that to crack into the engine/driveline removal and suspension swap, can't wait. Few pictures to keep the thread interesting: Pelican Order Ugly Jap plate holder removed Boot strip Where has the potential gone?

    15" BBS Weaves!

500? Don't need the tyres but anyway, what size are they and tread depth. Ta
  9. ^ I will take that into consideration cheers, half tempted to just throw a open diff in for the time being and get it rebuilt properly and shimmed etc with the lockup cranked up...from memory it was rebuilt a few years ago from previous owner(s) so I am kinda stuck with what to do. What do rebuilds set people back? I have heard 400 all the way up to 700+ thrown around. Anyone know?
  10. There was a silver e36 touring in Performance BMW magazine a month or two ago with a full M3 swap, right down to the instrument cluster etc, was awesome, I say do that.
  11. Yeah seen that cheers John, might just give it a jam myself and see what happens.
  12. Bump, anyone done this themselves before?
  13. ^ That's what I have currently/or something similar from memory along with some additional friction modifier, brought it from BNT too, probably got screwed over on the price ha.
  14. Hey guys, Been driving quite a bit the last few days and have noticed I am getting quite a bit of oil dripping from the front of the input where the driveshaft bolts to the diff. I havn't had the diff out of the car yet for a closer look but I assume (bad word) this is where it is from, it smells and tastes like diff oil. Is this a relatively easy fix? A brief google seems you just undo the nut on the front and replace the seal. I wouldn't worry if it was a plain diff, but I don't want my $700 LSD grenading itself, or the fact decent LSD fluid is $90 a litre! While I am at it I will get a full seal kit and replace the sides and the rear while I am at it, aslong as the diff won't require to have the center removed and re-torqued etc. As with the rest of the car, I would prefer to do the work myself than pay someone else unless necessary. Any input (excuse the pun) is appreciated. Cheers, Nathan
  15. Had some one in a E30 flash their lights at me today at the top of the gorge around 7.45pm, anyone from here? I want to say it was the 'Eagle E30' as the number plate was similar but I couldn't be sure.
  16. ^ Cheers Graham, legend!

  18. Thanks Dave, best of luck with the rest of the project
  19. I'm about to tackle replacing a cam seal and rear main seal, are there any special tools I will need? Do I need something like that tool you made to get the crank bolt off? Did you just use a blowtorch to burn the seals out? Thanks for the help.
