the 3 / 5 / 7 series all cater for different crowds - generally the bigger cars are more for the family people. More space for baby seat, a situation where 2 door doesnt suit. So going by that it'd help differentiate that age where people have familys from say those that dont. So shopping carts be differentiated from the people movers, barges.

Wanting to know if anyone has a BMW 320i engine up for sale in Auckland. Must be in good running condition. To be used in E30 series car. Any info on... - cambelt replacement - oil change - engine repairs etc. - mileage any other history would be great. No gearbox required. Possibly interested if manual box already bolted up. Price negotiable. Thanks Andy

I think her preferences are FL and 316/8 manual unfortunately. She dont want a 6, auto or pre-fl as far as i know.

I thin kthe figures are as follows E30 320i M20B20 - 129 hp E36 320i M50B20 - 150 hp E30 325i M20B25 - 170 hp E36 325i M50B25 - 192 hp going by that, I'd go for a E36 325i. The 320's just dont pack the same punch.
-
just a quick note for Drifty - that spoiler your selling on trademe is just hte stock spoiler, its not the one that is found generally on M325i's. Mtech 1's are much more substantial , Gus' has one. Wasnt it you that bought one a while back anyway? then was reselling it not long ago. Also would love an enginebay shot of yours . Cheers Andy.

Thought it was about time for another "Which model BMW do you own" poll thread. bloody polls broken - add it to the list of problems 3 series E21 - 1977-1983 E30 - 1983 - 1991/2 E36 - 1991 - 1999 E46 - 1998 - 2005 E90 - 2005 - present E91 - 2005 - present E92 - 2006 5 series E12 - 1972 - 1981 E28 - 1981 - 1988 E34 - 1988-1995 E39 - 1995 - 2003 E60 - 2004 - present 7 series E23 - 1977 - 1986 E32 - 1986 - 1994 E38 - 1994 - 2001 E64 - 2004 - present E65 - 2004 - present E66 - 2004 - present Other CRX WRX etc. info got from else where - cant remember the models etc exactly / years / dates.. basically can probably break it down to bimmersport basics of E28 - E30 - E34 - E36 - E38- E39 - E46 mod feel free to delete and repost as a poll.

ive had VTNZ wof's with smoked front / sides.. I was told they had to flash orange.. thats it. So long as they still flashed orange and could be seen from a certain distance, then it was okay.
-
seems curbs are too high in Chch .. front lips not so common. Both cars look fantastic, loving hte spoiler savini.
-
Yeah, got it in one. Will add a few things as I think of them - M40's are apparently notorious for snapping cambelt's - so check that its been done and that its been labelled etc.
-
I'm not sure if discs / drum trailing arms differ or which you have but can do one for $85 + pickup/delivery
-
dunno whether or not your insured MrHamwallet but wouldnt be surprised if they refuse to pay out if you have an accident. Just dont crash into anyone and you'll be fine.
-
I'm pretty sure they are model specific. I'm not sure if they actually differ but I've tried putting E36 ones onto an E30 and the screw holes do not align and they're also smaller than the E30 ones. maybe as for some dimensions - find out where the screw is - and the mounting equipment. Also check sizing.
