thats the way to do it... -
all the post (about 93) or so e 34 had the wide grill and bonnet flare Eg the 525 kept the same engine but gained(or lost?) the W I D E grill and matching bonnet.(I know the engine might have changed from M50 to m50 TU)

the real truth is that fuel is only a part(albeit an increasing part) of the cost of running a car.Take this guy for example. So he takes a real bath and sells the falcon and takes a huge hit in depreciation, then he shels out MORE for a supposedly more economical car.Say he pays 10 grand for the new car.So he has spent 10000 plus the huge hit in depreciation to save himself say 20 or 30 bucks a week.....who is the f--wit?AND he still has to maintain insure reg and wof the new car at the same or more cost than the falcon

seriously..its another car to run and insure and register and wof...will all those costs inclg purchase price outweigh the running costs of the 535,unless the 535 is going to be sold of course -
confirming that 823 is the hot climate package on the 540 I was looking at...as said South African car
-
love the colour!
-
been on for some time now...
-
the 540 i was looking at was a south african car .It had an option like that..cant locate the sheet right now so cant confirm the number depending on the year of the 540 that option list may not be quite right...

fan will just about always turn, not always with much force or at the proper speed. The coupling behind tghe fan is a viscous coupling, when it(the air temp frpm the radiator) gets to a certain temperature the coupling locks up and you get good air flow through the rad. When the car is cold the fan should spin relatively freely. When the car is hot (but engine stopped) the fan should not spin freely at all

all i am saying is that the pics(esp the interior ones) dont show the car in its true light! Its bloody filthy
-
I dont mind problems(in fact i knew it had a few) but i like to know (mostly) what i am in for.The local dealer said(and i quote) "you might make a $5000 guess"

I beleive very impressive evn below 4 k?
-
they dont care what you use it for,the whole idea is they give you a discount in return for volume. When i worked for Placemakers they had about 6 different discount levels related to sales over a year(or projectP

pull out all the boot lining. On the e34 its on the left hand side of the boot(looking in) sorta mounted vertically -

The m5 is a serious car Allan, dont forget its 400 hp maybe so so but for a 4 door sedan in 1997 or so !Its is 50 kw more than the e34 M5,apparently absolutely fantastic engine performance even just driving normally.I spose a lot is the wow factor in the //M5 badge but it is still a impressive output for a very civilised sedan
-
presume e46 330?manufacture date may help others out here
-
definetley seats and steering wheel, get the chassis number (last seven numbers of the vin) and go to the deaer and ask for the build sheet. That will show all the options
-
dont confuse an m5 with a msport Allan.M5 very different car from 540.T Unussualy there are three(well one has jut closed)one at 115 odd ks which he offered for 40,000,This one at sayy 100 ks at 50,000 and another at 80ks for 65.The later two are both later model ones tho.It may be a nice car but those pics dont do it justice.Love the blue too.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-166691280.htm I think thats the worst set of pictures i have seen.

their first thoughts were a coil but according to them(and BMWNZ) it may have been the PCV valve. They had the car in a second time to try and diagnose the problem but didnt seem to know .My main concern is that SMG seemed to have limited experience.Would have been much better if the car had remained in CHCH as at first .I am a bit down about it but I am sure there is a nice one out there somewhere(2 in 24 months!)

keep an eye here....http://www.bmwe34.net/Wiki/tiki-index.php its a new site but the old one was a great resource for E34's.The site owner is building an e24 turbo race car and i am sure he will have some good but practical and where possible economical alternatives.
