have a look at at that website for fuel economy....The 523(actually a detuned 2.5) will have more torque than the 520 and wil deal witht he weight better.Probably similar fuel economy in real life.520 would maybe be better if you are in a lot of stop go(a lot of Stop rather than go)dont boter going to fuel saver...useless

not meant to be personal or "dissing"Its all our opinion.I reckon the narrow grill E34 looks better than the wide grill..its all personal taste. Not meant to be disrespectful .We are discussing OUR BMW's

I think you will find a certain number of people wont buy a BMW newer than e 30/34/32.....or E 36 E39 E38.... too complex
-
this is where i get confused....I have an E34,borrowed a E30 exactly the same to look at as my E34.I said to my wife, did you like mini me (refering to the e30 compared to the e34),she replied no its to boxy!.I always think the e34 and the E30 as the same shape!
-
dont know why(why do I like the X6????)>I thinks its the slabishness of the front with the flatish headlight covers..later ones do look better somehow
-
e 36=ugly IMHO but thats just me

we had some applied to a car we bought, wouldnt do it again, but depending on the users of your car the upholstery protection could be a good idea. The trouble with the paint protection is you cant scrub it...my wife used to park under trees and so her car was always covered in bird shite...if it gets to dry you cant get it off without scrubbing....some other f wit spilt a milk shake or something over the back of her car and by the time i got round to washing her car it had turned grey and i couldnt get it off...but the upholstery would be good for the occasional spill

can be shorts in the boot wiring(remember the boot is part of the system in that you can lock/unlock the car from the boot),or the door actuators dont quite open fully and the gm interprets this as a bogus signal so locks(or unlocks) the car again.EDIT the actuator/GM issue applies to early e34,s...symptom is you unlock car and it immediately locks itself again..or visa versa The LKM can be resoldered, where the mini relays attach to the circuit board...i will post more as the memory slowly recalls things

without a clutch and gas pedal to work i wouldnt get any exercise...it also keeps my co ordination up to scratch. The pre purchase check in invercargill wasnt altoghter complimentary either.Althoughi was disapointed, cos i put a lot of time and effort into it (and the best part of $500) i think you are right Ron.I think i would never have been happy with its overall condition. Thanks heaps for looking at it
