and the other side of the equation is how do you charge them...the only truly green way is hydro(which has its drawbacks) or nuclear, which in the long run is NOT green.WE NEED FISSION!
-
i also use it in the 535.Its the recomended grade for the car.I use 95 if i am doing a ghymkhana or something like that where i might be using higher throttle openings at relatively low revs than normal driving.Sometimes i might use 95 on a trip.I have never heard any signs of pinking

and if a misfire is logged on cylinders 1-4,would you still suspect coils,no mention of coil in faults

its not just an annoying light.I would go and see Glenn if I was you! -
because you are supposed to stop at an amber light if it is unsafe to do so,not ry to beat it.Are there cameras at this intersection?

on the hour ussually?.three beeps just before the hour.on the e34 it is turned on when you see a little ((( symbol when the time is displayed on the OBC (i think you e39 guys call it the MID?)
-
it works.I have done this on my 535 on the drivers door. You have to turn the key ALL the way to the right, there is some resistance. As you turn far to the right pull the door handle up.Try different combinations of turning the key and lifting the handle and you will see the pin move a little bit,and eventually you will get in.Another option is to open the boot and put 12v across the tail lights.(a different version of glenns).Search the internet for other versions.bimmernut and bimmerforums have good e34 forums

Broke Windscreen, Brake Lines, and Power steering?!
kiwi535 replied to jcerecke's topic in Maintenance
the joys of owning a car sometimes I am afraid.Whats cheaper, fixing your car or getting a newer one, which may of course present you with simlar problems in the near future, unless you buy much newer.for the windscreen try smith and smith or similar,it may even be covered by insurance if you have it. -
i go to jeff grey with two 4 litre containers and ask for 6 litres of 5w 30 syn and an oil filter and present my car club card for a discount, much cheaper thamn mobil one at repco etc.

i use the kms to judge what the big ticket items might be coming up but he main thing for me is the overall condition and or desireablilty of the car.The kilometres themselves dont really come into it.Spending hundreds every 100.000 k for a new radiator and or new suspension bushings is more sensible to me than $10000-$20,000 for a new carAt 250,000 my 535 is no different than when i bought it at 147,000(except for the items mentioned above)

tow bar= bike rack tow bar= occasional trip to the dump tow bar = occasional trip to the furniture shop to bring home a sofa not always for towing boats etc... i would always get a tow bar for the above reasons before a roof rack.

the deregulation of the industry has made it possibe for most of us to own BMWs which probably would not have been the case if we were still highly regulated like Aussie.
