Hey mate, I just put a set of 19" staggered Beyerns on my E39. $3k is a lot for those to be honest - especially when compared to new sets of 19" Beyerns on TM. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-380446740.htm

I just bought a pair off TradeMe earlier this week. Haven't got them yet though. From this guy: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-380633059.htm Will let you know if they're any good.

Thanks Grant - no wonder google didn't help. Kiwiland, potentially, I've got no idea! Driving to Taupo on Friday so I'll see if that happens. It definitely doesn't seem to be an alarm in the normal sense of the word....
-
Right, this is my dumb question for the day. What does 'Alarm' do? When 'on' is selected, that icon appears in between the date & time. Thanks!

Johno sells Rotalla branded tyres, which are probably the best out of the cheap tyres from my experience. I'd give them a go.
-
Haha yeah unfortunately multitasking isn't my strong point so I'll stick with listening only! Thanks though, great to get working.
-
Nice work mate - it looks even better in real life!
-
I can take them as far as Taupo this Friday, but that probably doesn't help!
-
PM sent. They will definitely pass a WOF.

Quick question - A guy at work has an E39 touring with 4:3 nav (it's a jap import). The screen has started to die. Can he replace the entire unit with an E39 Radio? Is this a direct replacement, or is there wiring needed to make that work? Otherwise a replacement screen from eBay might be the cheapest way..... Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the radio Ray - perfect.

On TradeMe.... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=379905060

Under $250..... it certainly was!!

Fitted some 19" staggered Beyern Mesh wheels to the E39.... Pictures will come later. Thanks to Mr Winckel for the rims!
-
Just took these off the car - they're in great condition. Last chance before TradeMe!
-
Ignore this post - the wheels were stolen. Hey guys, I'm about to put a new set of wheels on my E39, so the OEM wheels are up for sale. They'll eventually go on TradeMe, but you can have first dibs! They are Style 66 wheels 17x8" fronts 17x9" rears The tyres are matching Bridestone Playz with heaps of tread. 235/45/17 and 255/40/17 Only minor curb marks on a couple of the wheels, so overall really good condition. Here's a photo of the wheels on the car...... better photos will come when they are taken off.

That sounds awesome!

Happy Birthday mate - have a good one.

Dad just got a 2001 E46 330i sedan. It was built in Jan 01, so doesn't have the world tuner. Does anyone have a standard headunit for sale with NZ frequencies? Cheers!
-
So you can turn the monitoring off for AEs / park lights?
-
I got Angel Eye bulbs..... The headlights are OEM Hella - cheers tho Crazy Dave - that sounds good. Cheers for the advice.
-
I just got a pair of LED Angel Eye bulbs off eBay for my E39. They look awesome, but.... At startup, during the normal check, they pulse for about 10 seconds while the car sends a small current to check everything. Is there any way to stop this? Would coding fix this? Cheers

Yeah the camera is probably second on the list after a nice new staggered set of wheels. Would love to come along but can't make it unfortunately!
-
Yeah - I've got a BM24 tuner on it's way from eBay.de Grant did mention those cameras, very tempted.

Got a chance to give it a good clean over the weekend, here's the result. I've got rid of the Jap plate holder, and put black grilles on it. Now to find a nice set of wheels......
