Hey just wondering does anyone know of a good place to buy new front brake discs for a 1986 E30 320i? My steering wobbles and pretty certain the discs are warped so just want to replace them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How easy would it be to put in and replace a m20b20? Also the would a m20b20 loom work for this or would the plugs youve taken off need replacing for it to work? Does it go and work algud? Coz my engine is about that age and has those kms so upgrading to a 2.3 would be sweet. Looking for a bit of a power upgrade.

hey mate also check your brake rotors. pretty sure it may be because they are warped if the shuddering increases when braking at high speeds (100kmh etc.) aswell as when u are driving.

Ive got problems with my fuel gauge also (no empty light and goes up and down randomly) and I think its something to do with the float in the fuel tank so the unit in there might need replacing. I haven't had a chance to do mine yet. And if your odometer and speedo aren't working then you may have picked up a dodgy one that has done more kms than it says. My one when I bought it had a wire running under the back seat that had been tampered with so you could unplug it and the kms wouldn't clock up. DODGY!

I have tried this and it wasn't blocked. also found a leak that went down the bonnet release cable but I still seem to be getting water coming in and have no idea were it could be coming from

Were abouts do you locate the starts of the drains? do you have to wind the sunroof back and theyll be down the sides?

Hey guys just wondering how you go about clearing out the sunroof drains on a 1986 E30. I keep getting puddles in my passenger footwell and have been told this may be part of the problem.

ok hmmm so maybe im just gonna have to buy some new springs so that i get a even ride height. bummer i was hoping there was gonna be a cheaper option. thanks anyway guys

I am looking to lower the front of my car cos' it sits lower in the back and looks ugly. I already have lowered springs all round its just the back ones are a bit saggy. I was wondering if it would be possible just to put shortened shocks in and that would lower the front without having to cut or buy new springs? I am looking at lowering it about 30-50mm and would also be getting shortend socks all round.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone hs a spare cheapish e30 bosskit lying around that will fit a momo steering wheel. the wheel has 6 bolts to go into the bosskit. my one is weird, like it doesn't have the middle bit that grips the teeth of the steering column so its screwed to a big bit of steel then screwed to the standard bosskit. i doesn't allow me to run wires up through themiddle to my horn and i need it for a warrant. Hey mate ive got a pre f/l 1986 320i. Its a dark greenfour door and lowered on 16s. has a 2.5inch straight through exhaust to a twin supercharger muffler so has a nice throaty sound. It has a few issues like a leak into the passenger footwell which I cant seem to locate so the carpet and centre console have been removed to try and find it (I still have the interior, jut itting in the shed). Apart from that it has been very reliable and has 145,000 mikes on the clock. Let me know if your interested and maybe we could arrange something. Im not sure on the value of the car but I paid 3900 for it and have done some improvements to it so would be looking for something similar. I have been looking to mybe swap it for a E30 coupe but if I could sell it then I could just buy one. Thanks, Mike

hey guys just after a couple of lock regulators (or whatever they are called-the things that lock/unlock the doors) my ones are stopping working properly and i have to open the rear passenger doors to unlock the front driver and passenger doors by pulling up the lock. any help would be great, thanks

Ok this wasn't that bad. Only took me an hour and a half to remove dash. Im from New Plymouth so we don't really have any BMW specialists around here. Would I be able to pick one up from PartsMaster or Repco or some place like that or will it have to be from a BMW shop?

Yea man ive put this off for way too long (about 2 years) so ive had no carpet or center console for that time. Cant wait to get it back in and have a normal car again.
