How long is awhile? keep it dry and under cover. If away for an extended period (year or more) change the oil and then pour oil down the spark plug bores into the cylinders. Every year or so give the engine a couple of rotations using a socket on the crank pulley and pour more oil down the bores. I'm not sure, but I would make sure that the cooling system is full of fresh coolant with alot of antifreez so none of that corrodes.

Are you kidding? You've done an engine swap but worried about a heater core swap? It's a piece of piss in comparison. There is information in your Bentley manual - section 14:11.

The model date is often different to the build date. My 1989 was built in late 1988, Plenty of cars registered 1988 are cars built in 87 hence pre fl - some even were a mixture of both as they tried to use up extra parts. Front f/l conv pretty easy - rear will take some patience and fabrication as e30stz says.

Server Storage FullMy soked lights are a set Ollie did when he first started smoking them - they have a matt finish instead of gloss and look pimp. So pimp that Gus wants them back...

I'll throw a phot up after the weekend - it was about400mm by 500mm so pretty large - now about 150-200mm x 500mm I'll try one of those compounds mentioned and let you know how it goes.

A good chance for any late-model e36 buyers out there to get something a bit better for your money. Link Makes me think hard about considering an e46 when it's time to replace the 325 in 24months or so. The only thing putting me off is maintenance - I can do 85% of e30 maintenance myself and learning more everytime I get under the thing. e46 I imagine would be a tad harder and secondhand parts a little more scarce and more expensive.

And i bet there was a decent comission for turners on top of that. PLus transport costs and time spent at the auction. Looking at it purely from a business aspect I'd say it owes him $15k, so $20k probably a fair starting opoint to onsell it to the "general public". Edit: Turners would only have charged him $170 it turns out, but I still bet it owes him close to $15k. Transport, storage, etc.

New 4x4 toy also 90% purchased - 2.8L turbo diesel Rocky with a lift kit all round bars - and difflocks - all the toys. Will post pics when we roll it or something. It'll be a third-each partnership me, my brother and Dad so we stop breaking the jeep. Blew the rear seal on the engine and snapped front and rear LHS leaf springs and removed exhaust in the above run. Its a genuine 1942 Willy's and is often borrowed by the transport museum up here so we want to stop killing it, but still use it for off-roading so need a new toy to do the hard runs in. One more...

rear - sorry about out of focus - was a rush job on way to work.

Interior showing upholstery damage on drivers seat - no other seats have this knid of wear.
-
I did try scratch X but the paint cleaner worked better - go figure. I'll try the cutting compund - didn't want to f**k the paint so wasn't sure about using that.

It has the "newer" offset dash in front of the steering wheel. If I bought another one I'd get the classic centre dash as I think it looks cooler, but the new one is fine.

T&E or trademe probably your best bet - the dealer etc will be very expensive.

Pics of interior to come. This is a good straight honest mini with no faults - just usual wear on paint and upholstery as expected for a 24yo vehicle. I have had it valued by a member of the mini club and the asking price is how much he suggested it should go for. I will take serious offers near the asking price.
