Hah - nice list there guys. Unfortunately not much I either havn't thought of or that I want to do. I'm thinking of some of these: Joining the US coastguard Working for a Marine Search and Rescue organisation Driving chase boats for an Americas Cup team Working as an instructor for marine qualifications (Australia boat licences, NZ boatmaster, etc) Working on super/charter yachts or doing blue water delivery voyages. Working in mental health Teaching Setting up my own business doing VIP car storage, transport, valet and service. Driving a tour bus or working in adventure tourism Buying a bar (I will do this, this has been a dream of mine for around 8 years, but I want to do something else first) Become a mechanical engineer with a view to working on either large marine engines or in motorsport. And I'm still thinking/looking. Hoping for some fresh ideas. I want to have decided and made the change by the end of the year.

That is fricken awesome! Better than the original.

I've actually looked at buying or starting a business, and I have one in mind, but I want to do something else for 10years or so first. I'll buy the business an do the wife and kids thing at the same time.

I've made the decision to retrain. I've been in my current career for 10years (including 4 years for my degree) and that's enough. I earn good money, but don't mind taking a pay cut for the right job as long as I can still pay my bills and my mortgage(s). I'm happy to go overseas, or travel, infact that might even be a bonus. So what are your dream jobs? Give me some ideas. I can turn my hand to anything. Plus its a chance for you all to have a wee dream. Ready..... GO!

Thanks kerry and $toffz for the positive comments. It's equally important to know what works as to know what doesn't. -
That's better - go IE Tab! Bloody activeX. Sam - I'm guessing FF on mac? or FF on Windows?

Does anyone here use twitter in their business. There's a bit in the paper on it, and I'm intrigued. I don't use facebook for work as I want to be able to post up all the stuff I get up to in my private life. Which is why I make all of my profile etc invisible except to friends and only add actual friends to my friends list. However, I can see the value in maintaining a network for work on facebook. Does anyone do the same with twitter? What are the benefits? How do yo utilise it? Cheers

Won't play for me - just sits there loading, but no data coming in. Anyone got another link?

Blogs don't have to be about what you are doing. They can be about what you are thinking. Some people with boring lives have the most entertaining things to say. in other words if you are funny, witty, cynical, intelligent, or even a stupid loser whose misfortunes make others feel better and can communicate effectively with the written word, then you can have a successful blog.

Dead set serious - keen. PS he was going to knock off $20 from the total buy now if I wanted front AND sides, so make sure you're getting better than that for 5 sets.

Isn't this the point of daily virus definition updates?? I use Avast as it is free, easier to use than avg, not as in your face as avg, less processor intensive than avg, and more effective than avg.

Awesome pic! -
Keep bidding - I'd be willing to part with it for a little more. From memory these are $130+ new, and they last forever.

No. They glow orange as they are made out of orange plastic that is tinted.

Mike - please PM bellicose or repost in the original thread if you wish to stray from the topic at hand. I have no idea why your comment was removed, or by whom. I can look into it if you'd like. I agree with you wholeheartedly on the way some members greet newcomers, and we try to moderate this where we can. However, I can't help but notice that you have a very strong opinion about some subjects that is fairly contrary to that held by the group in general. This is fine, but as with any community, if you are a new member, you need to first establish your credentials with the group and earn their respect/friendship before loudly voicing controversial opinions. Liken it to a dinner party with a group of old friends, if you will. A new comer to the group voices strong opinions loudly all night. The group dismisses the newcomer as rude, and opinionated despite the fact the newcomers points may have been valid. I think this is the reaction you are experiencing. Feel free to voice your opinion, but try to do it in a non-confrontational way, and in a way that allows others to feel as though you are open to hearing opposing views to your own. A "my way or the highway" attitude is not how to win friends or influence people. Even in your post above you speak in a condescending way to those who choose to modify their cars different to yourself, and yet you expect people not to retaliate? We value all new members and their input. But try to remember it is the new member who must try to fit into the community, not the community which must try to fit with the new member(s). -
I'd be keen to hear too. I preferred Simon's 540 on my brief drive than the m5 I drove a coupe of weeks later. Ever since then I wondered if the m5 I drove had something wrong.

Yep, they go in the bumpers. Fit all e30's including pre f/l and kitted cars.

Dish is still good, and will be for awhile (see sick wheels thread), but looks way better if you still have some tyre - ie looks good on about 1-2 sizes down from the max size you can run for a particular car. I like the motorsport m3 rims brook. I prefer the type IV AcS wheels to the Type III's. Will was running them on his e36 cabby and they are sex. Like these:

No home-made tinted tailights are legal, even with separate reflectors. The rules state no tint film or overlay or spray can be applied to lights. BUT, it's whether the testing station notices, and they never have when I've had these ones on, and the reflectors still work. So its up to you. The risk is yours. Swapping them for legal ones takes 2mins at WOF time if you're worried, and I'm asking less than half for these as legal smoked lights cost. Its up to whoever buys them what they do. I'll take reasonable offers, or I'll take to them with some meths and try and put them back to stock for spares. Currently want $100 tails, $30 front repeaters.
