-When friends you don't see very often don't need to resort to asking about the weather when making small talk - they just ask "how's bimmersport" or "hows the bmw?". -When you're the IT person at work and you have to consider blocking the bimmersport domain for your own good, but don't bother because you know you'll only last 5 miutes before removing the block or coming up with an elaborate way to circumvent it. Haha tricked myself again! -When "just moderating bimmersport" is an acceptable excuse for having the laptop in the lounge during drinks with mates. -When people you hardly know got your number from a friend of a friend because they wanted to ask you where their brother in law should go to get his new e36 320i auto serviced. -When you call family members and friends n00bs when they piss you off. -When you have more bimmerpsort members in your contacts list and speed dial than anyone else. -When you plan road trips around where bimmersport members live, and pre-arrange several test drives in BMWs every time you leave town.

I have to disagree PJay. At the moment he pulled the trigger (as opposed to just waving the gun around) he went from "in too deep" to "grease spot on the carpet".

In the past I've cut off the plug and soldered the correct one on no worries as I too didn't have the correct sender. Worked fine. Should be the same for you if its an e30 diff, so what you suggest should work.

So you did. I've now merged this one with yours as you can see...

I've been using the companies register (companies.govt.nz) and the insolvency register (insolvency.govt.nz) to look up details of debtors, prospective tenants, and the like for years. I just discovered the personal property security register (ppsr.govt.nz) which is part of the same collection of Ministry for Economic Development websites and uses the same logon details. You can do a search for money owing on a vehicle, plane, or a credit check on a person for $1 once you have your direct debit account setup. You can also text a query to FIND (3463) by txting the rego plate followed by a quesiton mark followed by the vin or chassis number. The reply will state whether their is a security interest on the vehicle. You will need to logon to the website for more details. Txts cost $1. It's good stuff. PS - a quick browse also shows you can search the LMVD register aswell (motortraders.govt.nz).

Lol - coincidence, but I was walking through the office this afternoon and the following brochure was sitting on a colleagues desk: For future reference - from Marley Racing Products

This is nearly exactly what I think. My mind is a sponge for information. I'm really interested in all forms of belief. I've read books on Islam including a very long one on the life of Mohammed and some portions of the Qur'an, I've read significant portions of the Bible, I've been to Christian assemblies, talked to Jehovah's Witnesses and been to one of their 3-day conferences (for personal research), I have friends whose parents are Buddhists and I've listen to some of their beliefs, and I devour scientific journals and current affairs. I then pick and choose what to believe in and follow by holding the information I have taken-in and seeing if it fits with my view on morality and life. I also agree with you PJay - extremist views are equally dangerous no matter which side of the fence they are on.

Chuck some on your e30. Colour match would be pretty good too.

Yeah, I've been on them while they're on special.

I doubt that is why there is "fear" of it. You are right though - very very high pressures. Bosch NZ test direct injection injectors from behind bullet proof glass as if a hose or similar fails, the pressure of the fuel will cut through a person. That said, they are fairly safe, its just they are continually playing with them, so don't want to take the risk. I think the "fear" is down to their intolerance of dirty fuel or fuel with a high level of impurities such as sulphur. People are afraid of the maintenance nightmare this might cause (not to mention the warranty probably won't cover it). Awesome pictures in that article of the cut-away motor - talk about complex!!!!!!

I wanted to do this, but I couldn't justify the $$ to do it properly. Although I think I would do it in the future if I did another e30. Sounds like a badass swap. Manual BMW v8 in e30 FTW.

I feel a ban coming on......

Fairly topical given the front-page story of the baby mammoth. Do a google search to see creationists views on the find. Also note that the Herald puts this as front page news, yet the mammoth was found in 2007!

Hondas suck. get out. Jks. Good to see you at the meet, and also good to not be the only bloke with his g/f in tow esp. since Ollie and Katie bailed.

A comparison against mine once it comes back from Gavins might be interesting as they should have almost identical horsepower. You will win on the weight and suspension/stiffness. I should win on torque I hope.

Not sure whether it would be all that cheap with freight. Regular pricing is not available on the website without a login.

Northland Man Commits Suicide: Supermarkets increase price of Beer I have a panchant for Becks, but at $29/doz retail its a bit on the steep side, so when the supermarket would do a $19/doz deal I'd buy 15-odd dozen at once and store it. Those days may be over Bloody Liqour Licensing forcing me to drink sh*t beer!

Haha Graham - I was just about to say that it's easily my favourite e30 touring in NZ. Nice work Jason, I miss seeing this every day on my way to work. Still have fond memories of going sideways in it a couple of days after Will bought it. PS someone post up the pic of it in the paddock.

Had to be the BMW geek and try and spot other BMW's. pre f/l e30 at 2.27, e36 at 5.00 and same car by the looks at 5:05, and e28 at 6:39. Probably more.

That's probably taking it a bit far. I'm pretty sure the fanatical christians aren't the cause of violent crime, war, and the financial crisis. Also shooting them is a bit far also - if the parents are sending their kids along to that tour, it's not the tour guide f**king the kids up. But them and people like them are largely responsible for over-legislation, PC bullshit, and a litigious society. Some of the posts here are equally fanatical. I'm pretty much diametrically opposed in my beliefs to everything on that clip, but acting fanatical and defensive in return is almost as bad.

Now you just need the plate to fit it! Looks wicked - I like the white kidney.

Not very aerodynamic once you've got a rider on. And no fairing to protect hands, neck, chest, and legs from rain = dry weather bike. They look freakn fast and the software they have must be awesome - very cool rendering.
