  1. Make sure it is actually an m3. Many people (including plenty of mechanics) wouldn't know an m3 if it fell on them. A badge at the back saying m3 does not an m3 make. If it is indeed an m3, snap it up - at that price it's probably worth it even if the engine is stuffed. (but only if you have the cash to buy a new motor - HUGELY expensive, as in, at least the price of the car again or more depending on how many kms and how much work it needs).
  2. Spotted this over at maxBimmer: Note the bimmersport automotive sticker above the car....
  3. -when you're on hold to a govt dept, so you log on to check new posts while you're waiting.
  4. Yeehaaaa!!! I didn't have time to read it all, but that's enough to know I'll be back soon to read it. Awesomeness, and it even looks good for a BMW too!
  5. But that's been done again, and again, and again.
  6. Tilting 3-wheeler. Hardly a new concept. Many prototypes and a couple of production versions built by various companies over the years.
  7. Just apply for a VISA Gold card - comes with travel insurance.

Sick video. Sick car. End of.
  9. That's hot. Love that colour. Sorry, can't help your original question though. I assume you have checked trademe and your local buy/sell paper?
  10. Nope - just in his personal profile. At any rate, seems as though the poor guy has been scared off.
  11. Can't confirm, but I note their condition worsened from serious but stable to critical overnight. A since self-deleted post by another member made some excellent points along similar lines of what Simon has said, and that I now realise what PJay was trying to say. The guy will get his just-desserts, and the police in charge of the operation are the best positioned to make decisions on what to do so I'm assuming they're doing their best to schieve a good result. Sorry PJay - I thought you were on some sort of bleeding-heart pro crimnal's rights trip, I now realise my error.
  12. Haha - what about Alex aka Quicksilver? Sorry bro you're a girl.... BTW I take lebske to be something to do with Alex's surname - Leben.
  13. You might find someone on here willing to come give you a hand, but more than likely you would have to make a start yourself, or bite the bullet and pay a mechanic. If you lived close to me I'd do it, but I'd expect to be paid, have you helping and willing to learn, and have a ready supply of beers on tap. There maybe someone in Christchurch willing to help under similar circumstances. Good luck!
  14. Actually I think Simon wants to know how you determined Alex's gender.....

  17. There's a guy on r3v who used to do it for people. You'll have to do a search there. EDIT: ^^^ or that. lol.
  18. -When you laugh at most of the comments in this thread because they're true.
  19. -When friends you don't see very often don't need to resort to asking about the weather when making small talk - they just ask "how's bimmersport" or "hows the bmw?". -When you're the IT person at work and you have to consider blocking the bimmersport domain for your own good, but don't bother because you know you'll only last 5 miutes before removing the block or coming up with an elaborate way to circumvent it. Haha tricked myself again! -When "just moderating bimmersport" is an acceptable excuse for having the laptop in the lounge during drinks with mates. -When people you hardly know got your number from a friend of a friend because they wanted to ask you where their brother in law should go to get his new e36 320i auto serviced. -When you call family members and friends n00bs when they piss you off. -When you have more bimmerpsort members in your contacts list and speed dial than anyone else. -When you plan road trips around where bimmersport members live, and pre-arrange several test drives in BMWs every time you leave town.
