    Quick Questions

Going to put the car in next week just to have a couple of things done, one of them will be an oil and filter change, Its not due for it but might as well do it while its in there, Can they reset the oil service due even though the light is not showing so it knows its just been done ????
  2. Update. Just turned up today. Well packaged so as not to break. Took the old amber bulbs out and put the new ones in and they look pretty good to me. Gone is that egg yolk look. I just bought one set in to test them out but now i see they are great i am going to buy a couple of set's so i can replace the back ones and have some spare. Pics, bulbs then before and after.
  3. I have been following Topgear now since it very first started and have always loved it. When the Aussie version of it came out i thought ok this might be quite good as its more to home up to date and reflects prices around what we would expect. Sadly i feel they have missed the mark completely, They have tried to take off Topgear in its entirety with their presenters and personalities not to mention test's and the stig and it just feels all wrong. Sorry but for me its a fail and i just cannot get into it. What do you think good or bad. ?????
  4. Yup Gavin is great and you won't regret it, Its a small price to pay for such a huge improvement in handling.
  5. Gavin from Euro Italian sorted me out for the Solid ball joints and the m3 cab's , All up total cost including getting them put in was around the $350 mark.
  6. I use Brian at impwerks, small workshop but a great guy, Nothing is a problem and he's always willing to help with anything. He's at 22c Maunsell st over in the woolston area. Note : Keep ya eyes off the e30 he has in the garage its mine i tell ya mine
  7. Finally got the solid ball joints and cab's put in this morning and all i can say is woooooaaaaaaaaa yeah mumma, This has made so much of a difference to the cars handling its unreal. No more slight wander on the road but a dead accurate straight line and pin point turning. If anybody is thinking of doing this then don't think about it any more just DO IT.
  8. Mate you have had the same sort of experience as me but i was not going to say anything about him, Until now that you have bought it up. After i got my solid ball joints and cabs i went to bmw main dealer and kevin to get prices, Both quoted $250 to install. I then tried 45 Brisbane ST this is how it went. Drove in and got out of car , Guy was leaning against wall, i went up to him and he said "Yeah what do you want" in a shitty tone, So i said i had these parts that i would like installed. His reply - "Piss off i don't do that". So i just said "hahahahahahahah i can see you get alot of work you dickhead" and got in my car and drove away. I have since found this brilliant guy Brian of impwerks , Not only did did he put my ball joints and cab's in while i waited (and helped cause i wanted to) but cost was just over $100 (he had the proper kit to swap everything out). He's at 22c Maunsell St and this guy knows his stuff and he also has and absolute mint E30 //M325 that he had bought brand new ($45k) sitting in the garage (trying to con him in to selling it to me). He's great to talk to and nothing is a problem.
  9. Will see if i can find out some info Andrew , Pixel problem is completly different to what you do for the e36 modules. If i can come up with the info i will give you a yell.
  10. I just rung Tm (At 1.99 a ripoff minute) as i wanted to know why this was happening, Seems i was reported by sombody, My guess is the other guy doing it and did not like the competition , Oh well tm are going to pull all his now as well. Never mind you try to help people out with a super low price.
  11. Nope trade me just pulled it again, Whats the difference with this one. >>clicky<<
  12. Hell mate sorry i would have no idea never worked on one of these modules. Will have a look around the net there may be DIY links around for doing it, Its normally the glue holding the ribbon onto the base of the display that starts failing which causes the problem.
  13. Wonder if TM will pull this one now that I have one i have already refurbished to send. >>Clicky<<
  14. Not a fan of those vents at all , yuk in my opinion.
  15. Hahah i owned a TC2500 for about 2 years, It was a great car, Back then though gas was cheap. They were classed as the poor mans rolls, it was great on the road.
  16. I will take a set for my E36, This is a good way to try them out at a cheap price, Run them for a month or so and if you like them and the way they look then i would look at investing in a higher quality set like Nicks.
  17. Depends on what car you want the repair done for. I have read on a few other sites that places like these are just a rip off as all they do is send you a pdf file with the info in it that can be gathered from other forum boards around the net. One guy paid $$$ for repair on an E39 5 series and all he was sent was the file I have attached. Yip it fixed his problem but he could have easily have found this resource in many other bmw boards. Attached is the pdf file enjoy Pixel_repair_v05.pdf
  18. Only 2 weeks, I would be going back to them and having these problems fixed so it does not cost you $$, You can and will be offered advice to what the problem is on here but why pay for things yourself if its the responsibility of the car lot to make sure your car is in the condition you expect of it. And by the way welcome to the forum, you will find a wealth of information and helpful people. P.S pics, pics pics

    Car wash product

Thanks for that been meaning to buy a decent chamois for a while now.
  20. Anybody recommend a good car wash product, I am sicking of washing my car only to find bloody water spots all over it once it is dry.
  21. Thanks for that will drop in tomorrow and see if they will sort it out.
  22. Does anybody know about the free puncture repair thing with tony's tire service, I bought 4 new tires off them about 14 months ago and i just noticed i appear to have a slow leak in one of my tires. I had a quick look at their site and it said something about the sticker on your car gets you free standard puncture repair for the life of the tire. Thing is I took my sticker off the car pretty much as soon as they put it on as i detest stickers all over my windows. Anybody know anything about their free puncture repair policy at all ??.
  23. Update, Just purchased them and total cost turned out to be $90, If they are good quality when they turn up then i will be happy with the price. Will take some good pics of them once they have arrived and when they are on the car.
  24. Should be a closed circuit, When the brake pads wear down they take the end off the sensor creating an open circuit triggering the warning light. Correct me if i am wrong people.
