  1. Well lets see, I don't drink (hardly) so that's ok, I smoke but meh i enjoy it and don't intend to give it up. The missus asked me what my new years resolution is and i said hmmmm, Buy M3 mirrors, get my door sill's, get my solid ball joints and cab bushes installed --- well they are resolutions aren't they, things you want to do. Now i have an excuse to slip all these past her. heheheheheheheh
  2. Good on you for trying something different, Not a fan myself but if you like it then that is all that matters. Are the indicators still orange though, would have to be for wof i would say.
  3. Welcome to forum, Pics are a must so better get snapping
  4. $80 all up including the postage for the sills.
  5. I am going to go ahead and get a set, As was mentioned if in the end i don't like them i can always pass them through trademe with little or no loss of money. On another tack i was also looking at these wipers, Anybody else ever come across these before or seen anything like these in our stores, Can't say i have ever seen any myself. (that would fit our car) >>Click me for wiper from ebay<<
  6. I took it in today but they said the chip is not very bad at all and is to small for repair, Well be it on their head if the chip turns into a crack as i would not like to be replacing a screen and if it did come down to that i would be getting a different comapny down here one i know to put a new screen in. Also on a different note do they have to replace the same type of screen as mine has the green band across the top etc which is what i would want again.
  7. I noticed the other day some stone chips on my front windscreen, Since i have extra windscreen cover on my insurance i phoned them up and asked what could be done, They said if they are not to bad they could get done what novus does but with them they would do it through smiths and smiths glass. I have heard a lot of horror stories from ss but that was for windscreen replacement and not fixing up chips. The chips themselves are not very bad at all just small bubble chips but hey i pay insurance every year so might as well use them. Just wondering if anybody has used ss for doing chips and if the outcome was ok. The branch that was going to do it is going to be the one on moorehouse ave. On another note ringing my inusrance company they were great, told them what the story was and they put me on hold for about a minute and when they came back to me said its all sorted just take the car into them and they will be ready for you (well know i am going to turn up at some stage). So will drop it in today and see what they do (even gonna take my camera
  8. I would be tempted mate but am going to get mine recovered in the same black material as the door cards, Good luck with the sale at that price you are giving it away and somebody should snap it up.
  9. Or something else, They are just branded iridium, However the guy has one hell of allot of good feedback (90k plus) which gives them some credibility. These could just be the same plug as ngk or something but just not branded with their name.
  10. off of ebay from the uk, gonna get a set and see how they go. Final price $58 for a set of 6
  11. I have come across what i have been looking for in the way of door sills, The only thing is now i am ummming and arrring about getting them. Do you think they would make things look to tacky. I have a few things that will be coming from the uk so if i am going to get them i have to decide in the next week then i don't have to pay postage to include them.
  12. Thanks for that Glenn will get myself a set at that price then.
  13. Has anybody purchased any of these this year, I am looking at buying a set for around the $55 mark, Would this be a good price for these type of plugs.
  14. Upate, Just bought a set from ebay $14 all up including the postage, I don't think thats to bad a price will see what they are like when they get here. I think they will give me a cleaner line across the front end.
  15. Just did some searching and found some on ebay, Cost around $10 - $12 for a pair, Might bring in a few sets if thats the case.
  16. Guys does anybody know if we can get these type of bulbs here at all. >>clicky me<<
  17. Have a look at this, >>Clicky me<< , The Symptoms seem the same as yours
  18. OK guys what did you get for xmas, I got a couple of nice items from the missus. I am quite a hard person to buy for as i don't really want for anything so here are a couple of items i got. Pretty fitting for me i must say. Valve stem caps (anti theft, locked in place with little grub screws) and a new keyring tag for my work keys,
  19. Mods please move this if its in the wrong section. Ok so i have had mar car now for around the 18 month mark and i am just about finished doing the mods i wanted. just thought i would throw up a list of everything i can think i have done so far. Vechicle serviced (just basic oil change etc) 4 x new tyres 4 x Rotors and pads and set of parking shoes Water-pump, Fan, Centrifugal clutch, hyd tensioner and all belts. (payed foy by insurance) Intergrated garage door opener into car so all you have to do now is push the rear fog light switch to open close the door. New armrest and had it recovered from a nice cover i got from the uk. Replaced oem stereo with one that lights up the same colour as the interior of the beemer but has full ipod connection as well as usb and s/d card slots. I use the usb stick the most think i have around 4000 songs on there. Replaced 2 x cluster lights for the gauges. Replaced Mirco filter and had a/c checked but was already full and in tiptop shape Installed set of snap in chrome cluster rings that i got from the uk. Full 11 button upgrade to the 18 button one with all new new functions working. Installed foot well lights that run off standard interior lights , Ie dim after door is shut or turn them on when you tunr the dome light on. Replaced all the orange indicators all round with nice clear ones, (made a much needed difference to the car). Repaired my climate control unit. Replaced all door hand rubber seals (you know though those ones that always seem cracked as hell). Had front door cards recovered so now thay look spot on. (just the rears to do now) Replaced drivers side door regulator and window clips as well as window seal. Installed 4 new floor mats (Thanks Brent) Replaced left rear door handle and mech as the lever inside the door snapped (thanks to ray for this part). Hard wired radar detector into sun roof so no unsightly cords everywhere. Replaced brake light switch to stop the annoying brake circuit contol error comming up. Today i installed a new drivers side door seal. What does the new year bring, Just a couple of things still left to do. I have the solid outerball joints and m3 CAB's to go in first thing next year. I love my car to bits, I have always loved the style of the e36's and i am going to be sticking to it for quite some time to come. To do. Install cup holder when Ray comes across one for me. full level 1 service (check only and go from there). and from then who knows.
  20. Probably me as i registered on his site and it requires approval from the admin first and asks where you head about it from, i said from here
  21. Hi cheers for a reply in the thread, I quite look the like of the system but the cost of a bezel then the hardware on top is pushing the $$ up quite a bit, Its a pitty the bezel was so expensive. P.s welcome to the forum.
  22. forgot i posted about this, , I did the replacement last week, Was pretty easy, Removed door card then window and put in new seal, Now i can use my drivers window again , No need to replace the bottom plastic sliders on the window as i replaced them about a month ago when i got the drivers side regulator done. So all up was no where as hard as i thought, Well for my 4 door anyway
  23. $175 USD just for the bezel though is pretty steep.
