  1. PM me and i'll come 'round and have a look at it and give you some advice as to weather it's fix-able or not. I'm a car painter so have experience with this sort of thing.
  2. The blue one would be the one to grab if a PPI turns up nothing major. For the price you could afford to fix a few niggly little things if they show up.
  3. HMMM, rare? 4 x E34 540 wagons on TM at the same time. So including the ones that aren't on TM that wouldn't define the word "rare" for me lol.

    Gee you're quick.
  5. $300 to do 2 doors and blend into front and rear guards or $1000 for full outside only re-paint.
  6. There's also a Hell red 540-6 UK import getting 'round NZ. 99% sure it's an M sport with M fabric interior and used to have MOMO 17" 5 spoke rims. Used to belong to Paul Hacket, i think he imported it, not 100% on that though. Here's the old add when he sold it. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=172913725

    take this test

HMMM............not what i expected. I bet i'm not the only one
  11. This will give you an idea of how "subjective" warrant checks are, also who the muppet is testing the car and how his day is going. My son has an'88 Hilux xtra cab, lowered on 17s with primer all over it. Last WOF (with previous owner) it got was from AA testing with only 'loose tow ball and 1 bulb' as a fail. That's fair enough, this WOF check i took it to VTNZ (take all my cars there with minimum fuss). So ute failed on front wheel bearing, tie rod end, no door cards, head lights need adjusting and front wheels rubbing on full lock. Wasn't happy 'bout those things as i'd gone over the car myself and it was fine (yes i've got the board for HD adjustment) and told the young new guy that did check, a heated arguement ensued and he started crossing things off that he had failed and said "oh ok i'll let that go then but see if you can fix it" WTF! Anyway i thought 'nah ya fu*king little upstart', left VTNZ and drove straight 'round to AA, showed them the VTNZ sheet and the guys there said "no worries mate, we'll do a new check and you can check it out with us as we do it". Long story short, passed at AA with no fails and only one verbal comment, the tester was a bit concerned someone had played with the LSD as it was tight and would sometimes bind up. Moral of the story, get a human to do a WOF and you will get a different result everyday with the same car.
  12. Yeah, my SIL is a Det Sgt and her partner is a Sgt in AOS and they can't access bugger all.
  13. Interested to know how you have access to private info' no one else has. Doesn't sound 100% legit. As for the privacy thing re Carjam and the like, i think you all have it backwards. All info is now private unless you "opt" to have it public. My understanding of it anyway.
  14. Would stay away from Northcott, have had a few......... shall we say run ins with the service & parts guys. Simon is a member in Hawkes Bay, to my knowledge has never lived in NP. Otherwise i'm sorry i can't point you in the right direction re servicing, i do my own.
  15. Bit touchy this morn' arn't we Oh and i think you had your caps lock the wrong way around.
  16. Oli, ya should've stopped them and asked "What the f*ck are you scumbags doing in a car like this?"
  17. Pedantic much? As the reg' number doesn't include the word "Typhoon" i don't think it REALLY matters that much, does it?
  18. Yeah i noticed the reg and straight away thought more appropriate(sp?) on a Typhoon Falcon than a 3 series BMW.
  19. That's because they're in the wrong place lol. The word Alpina should always be on the drivers side no matter weather LHD or RHD, but i guess they're not too worried 'bout the small RHD market.
  20. Check out VS Motor if you want to see a big horse power E34. 1033 HP. 1091 NM. Has been and always will be my favourite E34.
  21. Have you ever tried sitting in the back seats of a Crewman? Sit in the back for an hour trip and you WILL want to kill the idiot designer who thought the Crewman was a good idea.
  22. I've started watching it as Shane Jacobson is actually funny. On a side note, that Hulme has changed so much from the original it's unbelievable. The old one looked far better than the new one, old one had BMW V8 and new one has got that Chev' in it. I painted bits on the old one so had a good chance to check out every little detail on it.
  23. I know the Fords are shocking but i don't understand the other statement. My nieghbour has a Ford '02 XR6 ute and it far worse on fuel than my '93 Holden VR ute. He also has a '98 high roof LWB Transit that he put a 3.8 Ecotec Holden motor in, even with the high ratio Transit diff' it gets better mileage than his XR6 ute,
