  1. We shall have to wait and see, i hope it becomes more closely fought between all teams this year, and further to this subject, if money was no object which race would you go and watch?
  2. I could not agree more with you Bruce, i know you have dealt with some of the timewasters i have. I am now keeping mine so we will have to do a photo session soon
  3. New formula one series starts very soon, just asking for your thoughts to the changes to the cars and lack of them now
  4. Cool car NOT !! He keeps telling everyone he is PHAT if he is so concerned then go on a diet he might buy a decent car then !!!
  5. Hi i was but when you see a m3 with no history etc go for more money than what i was asking for mine, it made me think that i was giving mine away being the first ever m5 e34 in N.Z and with the one off spec of mine as well as having full history etc it just seemed slightly frustrating that a car like this will not sell for $14.000, and the amount of timewasters and tyre kickers was just becoming a joke
  6. I wouldl like all your input on a decision for me. I am thinking of changing my wheels on my m5 but i dont know weather to sell them or do a deal with somebody for some new ones. They are original throwing stars so if anybody interested in some ideas because i cannot make up my mind
  7. What this means is that if you have a snow tyre fitted to the car ALL the other tyres have to match the snow tyre that is fitted on the car on both axles. This only applies to snow tyres
  8. Good evening Firstly are the wheels on right, what i mean by that is are the front wheels on the back and back on the front, why i say that is having a 285 on the front will not clear the front inner guards on lock, where as you can get a 285 on the rear if its not been lowered. If the rear tyre size is smaller then the wheels are on wrong. If they are right the front wheels will be touching the inner guards because they are to wide, and looking at the tyre it has been rubbing on lock rather than normal driving because on that width it will rub a grove into the tyre on the edge of the guard and every time you braked heavily the front wheels would really rub the lip when the car nosedived How there is a 285 on the front i do not know, but look at the rear size Also where are you? if you are near me then i will have a look for you if thats any help
  9. Yes mine is stored somewhere else too but you are right not to register it to your address unless you really have to
  10. Good evening all Just a bit of a strange one happened today. As many of you know my car is for sale on trademe and a person asked two questions, one about the car and one to have a look. Not a problem i am open to all viewers. But !! they asked for my full address, but i only gave them my phone number as i dont want to put my address on trademe, but they never called. Speaking to my friend who is a policeman i told him the story and he tells me that people do this to find ot where the car is then turn up when you are out and borrow it !! There have been a few instances of this in my area so just be carefull if you are selling your cars.I am not saying this is the case for this buyer but it is worth knowing what is happening within N.Z with regards to missing cars
  11. Again may be a bit of a mad one but you did fit the headgasket correctly and not the wrong way round
  12. Mine has a tow bar that i have only used once and that was to tow a 2 ton tree shredder to my house which was around 3km's and to be perfectly honest i did not feel it on the back at all and there was four blokes in the car as well and we were all surprised how well it towed
  13. It was good to watch, and what people forget is that these are hand built cars which makes them that bit special. For the price you can buy them for both in the U.K and here makes them a real bargain.
  14. Thanks for that, i will expect a bid from you at any time then !!!!!
  15. Hello and welcome to bimmersport. What you really need is a 315bhp e34 m5 not a slow 286bhp 540i one for sale on trademe and its a good one !!!!
  16. Thanks Bruce, Sometimes when you get a chance to upgrade you have to take it !! I will be sorry to see her go but it was either the car or the wife !! Funny thing was all my kids said my wife to go and keep the car!! but they always win in the end dont they
  17. No worries, i hope you got home ok, was it the torque converter lost all its oil? You can tell all how good my m5 looks and sounds!!!!!
  18. Hi thanks for that it does normally do it when you acclerate, so what did they do with your pedal ? if you can let me know that would be great so i can stop it. Many thanks
  19. To be honest if your 535i is auto it probably costs slightly more on fuel than my m5 and my car just cruises in fifth gear everywhere so it is pretty good on fuel,as for service costs mine has not long had a major service so its just filters for a while so the costs are quite reasonable if it has been serviced regularly. My car has covered just 900 km's in last 6 months and it has just been used for weddings !
  20. I agree, but i want a db9 and the prices are steep as there are only three in the country so we shall see how we go
  21. Not 100% yet, cant decide between a new m5 or an Aston Martin! but will keep you all informed
  22. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=202087431this is the auction details.....
  23. Good evening all, Just to let you all know my m5 is now for sale,so if anybody interested its on trademe from now. Graham
  24. Any standard car with no mods will be always be worth more than a car that has been messed around with, for my own opinion i will only buy a standard car with service history from a well known service engineer, is worth a lot more than any car that has had mods done. But saying that i am not saying all mods are bad, but when they are done proffessionally and with a guarantee then fine but changing a good rare car for something thats really no better seems a shame and you will lose money in the long run in my opinion.
  25. Its just annoying for any unsuspecting buyer who thinks its a very fast car and could get caught
