hey man, by the time you have priced up head bolts , head gasket, cam belt & tensioner, etc etc. it might be cheaper to get another motor, especially if this motor is unknown and could have other bad work habits done that you can not see

far out that is shocking, ring the guy up mate tell him you are not happy. that is really dodge

m20 starters are different ,but can be inter changed, prefacelift is larger, and terminal 50 is a spade connection facelift is smaller and terminal 50 from the ignition bolts on to it. so you need to muck around with the wires a little, also some prefacelift had an additional bracket at the back of the starter, attached to the block for support I've got plenty of starters if anyone needs one edit; a common starter fault that I've seen is a loose connection when people do manual conversions and just twist together, rather than solder, the inhibitor wires. also check the engine block earth strap isn't broken and make sure that you have a good battery before any tests, don't assume, actually test the battery first

prefacelift has pump located left rear under the sill in front of the rear wheel, facelift has an intank pump, there are also diferent types twin hose or single hose give me a call if you have any questions also have fuel pumps Jon 0276 837251 edit; face lift pump is located under the rear seat on the drivers side, unscrew and lift black panel, undo 4 10mm nuts remove the sender first, then twist the whole unit counter clockwise and then carefully lift it out not to snag on the filter sock.
