hmm I dunno why you quoted me but that guys responce to 'sdeuropean' made me laugh  Well I was going to say that Mercedes V8's sound absolutely wicked when you put your foot down. Last week when I was at MB doing work experience (please, no flaming its actually a really wicked place to be) there was an airleak in a cylinder on a mid 80's 380SEC so they opened the baby up , twisted the injectors upwards in the elimination process to see if it wasnt injecting properly and throttled it. Wow!! :mosh:

I'm going to print that out and show it to my Science teacher... LOL!Heres my contribution - Mini designer Frank Stephenson explains what a can of Budweiser and the new MINI have in common: "We worked a number of 24-hour days trying to get the full-sized clay model completed for presentation to the board of directors," says Stephenson. "So when we finished the job with just hours to spare, I thought it appropriate that the team have a beer or two to celebrate. That's when I spotted the problem." That problem was the complete absence of an exhaust tip on the otherwise complete clay. Thinking quickly, Stephenson stripped the paint from his beer can, punched a hole in the bottom, and fixed it in place on the model. "The review went off without a hitch," he says, "and the board told me not to change a thing. Imagine the difficulty I had communicating the specifications of the exhaust to the supplier, without telling him to go copy the sides and bottom of a beer can. I didn't tell them until much, much later." However, this wasn't Stephenson's only problem with this design. It wasn't long before he was called on the carpet by his boss at BMW. "It wasn't the shape," he says, "everybody liked it because it was unique yet oddly familiar. He was concerned that I had wasted a modeler's time milling the piece when his time could be better spent elsewhere. That was when I felt the need to confess." That confession got him stunned silence followed by nearly uncontrollable laughter. lolness!

Does it matter which way someone says it as long as we know what they mean. It is all about context and not being an@l to the point where the message is lost. So many people refer to thier BMW or any BMW in either way, be it a bike or car you can figure out if they mean car or bike. If you can't work it out you probably can't spell BMW either.Emma is right - go to the hate thread and let it all out. Keep on track with the subject that has been posted here. It doesn't matter either way... thats just official blah blah to avoid confusion

Click me. "The BMW Series Special Task Vehicle is already optimally prepared from the factory for the installation of additional systems. Special equipment like firearms, blue lights, illuminated "stop" batten, etc. is accommodated securely and ergonomically in the vehicle so that it is immediately to hand when needed. The blue-light beacon is integrated in a bracket on the driver's seat ready to place quickly on the roof. The firearm bracket in the rear centre armrest provides space for an MP 5 and three magazines. The bracket is electromagnetically locked and is opened from the front seats using a switch. The firearm moves forward automatically, therefore easy for the driver and passenger to reach" This is awesome. Retrofit please...

Stop the bullshit, thats what the hate thread is for. Just to confirm. Bimmer is a BMW car. Beamer/Beemer is a BMW motorbike. Bimmersporter or bimmersportian is a Bimmer enthusiast. Get it? Not BEAMER enthusiast or BEEMER enthusiast, since that would be BMW motorbikes.

Hah "Werke Motoren Bayerische" they wouldnt be too pleased with that . Looks rather odd on the E30... instead of having clears it should be white.
