You do realise that you can get the car's build sheet from the dealer? And it's most likely that they won't charge you for printing one out!

would a battery charger charge a flat battery?
318Touring replied to byza213's topic in Electrical system
When this happened to my E39, I took it to the dealer for recharging and evaluation. They had the car for a day for recharging, and only cost $50. The best thing was the battery stooped being a problem anymore. -
You mean you don't have warranties on your cars? Brave man :-) I am with AA. Cons: have to go through AA inspection which was a waste of $. They couldn't even check whether the radio was working or not. Pro: - AA warranty allows servicing to be done based on manufacturer's requirements. Lots of other companies require you to service the car every 10000kms or 12 months. - Cheaper than Protecta - No excess Note: try State's warranty. They are the cheapest. About $800 for three years.

Love the fact that it is a sedate, comfortable cruising machine while it can quickly become an accomplished sports car as soon as the accelerator is pressed with urgency. Love the technologies that go into my E60 (or not).

Jochen, thanks for your post up there mate. I always wondered why the heck my Compact's remote only worked some of the time. That was because I was pointing the damn thing down to the body of the car, and not to the rear view mirror!!

Me think this is the touring that Shelly BMW bought straight BMW AG which was used for to test some combinations. TV (Nav?) with manual rear window.
-
Good luck with it!!

Geez, in my post I was asking what happened to the car not about Flux

Well, I'll be interested in Meguairs group buy. I'll need the clay kit and scratch-x. What kind of discount will be available? I get 20% of at Repco.

It's a raised Merc CLS. It's expensive and pointless.

Also remember that these days are not the best times for selling cars.

Sorry, I meant wheel well won't accommodate the width of a full size spare. Good question hybrid. Again, say someone's driving from Taupo to Wellington and get a flat somewhere just after Taihape. And no spare. RFT is designed to be driven for another 150km @ 80kph. I doubt that any tyre places in any direction save for Taupo and Palmy will stock a tyre that matches......
-
Hmm, my spare is 17 inch Conti while my wheels are 18 inch. Don't think the wheel well is designed to take a full blown alloys 'specially the 19 and 20. After all BMW is pushing RFT.

Read my posts here In short it'll have to be a donut, and ordered from BMW.

Hmmm, I'm not sure I understand "the button behind the idrive knob"? That button is to enable voice control. The PDC button is above the ashtray (and below your DVD map slot). Well, re-programming at Jeff Gray Wellington costs about $180 and you might even get new features!!
-
Press the PDC button to turn it off, at the centre console near ashtray. It does that all the time. Also when you turn the car off, it'll still beep for a couple of seconds.

Here you go, NZ new 7 series, and cheap too!! Cheap!
-
I got Dunlop SP Sport 18 inches (those are the run-flats).

See the attached picture re indicator in the tachometer

Yep. Hard as on my Kiwi new E60. What's your car?
-
Also another thing, if yours comes with HUD and sat-nav. You'd want them to be able to work together :-)
-
IMHO, it's too expensive for a non NZ new 730.
-
All models supplied with iDrive. Even on models that could have iDrive but weren't delivered with iDrive still have some issues i.e. E90, E87. These are overall electronics issues, not just in relation to sat-nav and radio.

Team leader for a number of Java based applications at the Ministry of Social Development. Oh, I got to drive the new 730ld when the ministers are not using it. Yeah right.
