  1. Will this get worse if ignored, with a catastrophic failure?
  2. Out of the 4 cars that were there, 3 already sold so JG Wgtn only has one left as a demo vehicle. Actually at this launch there were heaps and heaps of young females, which weren't the traditional BMW target market. Until I realised that there was a fashion show as well.... After the cars were unveiled the only people that went to the cars, got in and tried a few things were the 'older' couples (including us), while the 'younger' crowd happily continued sipping the bubbles and eating, ignoring the cars. We agreed with another couple that sometimes it was pretty hard to distinguish between the Blanketman and a few of the male models. Definitely not something that I'd spend my $ on. Actually there is nothing that I like at the moment 'cept for the occasional Maserati Alright, next is the new 5 series launch. Should be (much?) better.
  3. Preceded by a fashion show from Workshop. Apparently the same format (fashion show etc.) for all of NZ. There was a 550i GT (sold!!) and X6M as well as 750i M (picture didn't come out perfect so deleted).
  4. Welcome, no wonder the car looks familiar....
  5. Would be rather hard getting a Jap import's sat-nav to work in NZ (easily and cheaply). For E65, E6x, E9x, E8x etc.
  6. What about this? Not as sexy as the Ci but ticks all, and lower ks to boot!
  7. Mate, the more I click on that TM link, the more I want to buy that car. I wasn't even looking to buy a car!!
  8. Negotiate - prices are rarely firm - use the 'lots of Jap import around with higher specs (some of them)' argument Negotiate - with the finance company or bank - for both rates and amount. Get parents/family members to help put a little bit of pressure. Good luck
  9. I'd rather have the NZ new one (second auction on this topic). Proper engine - tick Proper spec (MF steering wheel etc.) - tick NZ new - tick Low ks - tick
  10. No, not perfectly. If you're bothered by things that 'kind of' fit then don't buy them. Hah, just saw the auction and at the current bid they're really cheap.
  11. It'd cost around the $500 mark ...
  12. Why don't you call the dealer? They would know.
  13. The only colour for BMW, period. If I ever plonked down some $ for a brand new BMW, I'll choose that kind of colour. With terracota leather....
  14. There you go, it's back on the market again, and what do you know, you're thinking about it (again)........ I love the colour.
  15. C'mon Paul, give it a try. We do need an M5 in Wellington meets.
  16. Have you tried http://www.bmminiparts.com. Prices for outside UK buyers will exclude VAT. If they don't stock the the specific part, they'll try to find one for you with a quoted price.
  17. Have you tried opening the door from the inside? I prefer to not have noises that beep every time the alarm is activated or deactivated. The flashing clown nose is enough of a deterrent to the low IQ thieves lurking out there.
  18. I wish they could be like the Ford Falcon/Holden Commodore of NZ as well :-)
  19. Aren't you lucky to get a family who owns BMW. Is that a co-incidence or did you specially requested a BMW owner for your host family Convince them to let you drive their E60, it's an amazing car. Enjoy your stay!
  20. Did you call Protecta directly, Norm? I might be looking for one as well when my AA runs out in a few months.
  21. Looks completely from the car you picked up in '08!
