  1. And a carbon fibre option is also available.
  2. I saw one two months ago, and the seller offered that plate for $250. Unfortunately I didn't check my offered list and missed out!! Let's hope we're not going to bid against each other, eh?
  3. As Ron says, the price sounds good. 2.5 years ago I was looking at a '02 735i 50k, from Jeff Gray, which cost exactly twice of what the auction is asking for. It was also a Singapore import, like this one. Good luck, keep us updated.
  4. Looks amazing, and totally pure indulgence toy. How much BMW is planning to sell one of this? The reviews haven't been kind. What's with the colour white nowadays? Suddenly it's popular again?
  5. Go to this forum for US specific information :-) BTW, it's not a service plan, it'smore of mechanical warranty. It means that you are still paying for your maintenance, but if something goes wrong with your car, hopefully the warranty will cover it. Search through that site, they've discussed this particular topic to death.
  6. http://www.liquidleather.com/car-shop.html
  7. There should be a button somewhere that turns PDC completely off (or on).
  8. Does an E60 need to be locked for it to go to sleep? Or is it enough just to close all the doors etc.? What I found was if the car wasn't locked, it would wake up from time to time. Would be done by Jeff Gray, I'd suspect they'd fuse it as part of the install?
  9. So bought a new battery at Repco (got 20% discount). While asking for prices at JeffGray they mentioned about being able to install a cable for trickle charging your car. Charger $100 Labour and cables etc. $150 Total $200-$300 for a permanent trickle charger in your car.... Has anyone heard about this? Incidentally an AA service guy also mentioned something like this a few months ago.
  10. This would be something like this: Jaycar
  11. Just got an email, who's going? 12. My wife is a member so when her car stops working she doesn't have to call me out. I'm also not really keen on towing other vehicles with my E60!! As I have AA mechanical warranty her membership fee is 50% off the normal price.

    Daily car

I bought a '94 Familia for my daily driver. Got it from TM, and a bargain too (way below your price cap). It's an auto, under-powered but it beats the mileage of both the E36 and E60!!
  14. Service lights on E36, CBS warnings on E60.
  15. So what's the best oil for my '96 318ti? Repco is currently having a sale on its Mobil range (excluding Mobil 1). I think synthetic lasts longer and the change frequency aligns with the car's Oil Service lights. Somebody used a cheapo brand before, and the engine sounded rough only just after three months. Seems that i'd be better off getting original oil filter from Jeff Gray?
  16. Unfortunately no Nav. Wait for the current batch of Nav equipped 3er to start hitting the market since Nav is now only a $1300(?) option - used to be $6k!!
  17. Hmmm, that sounds expensive, a smart charger? I really need to find out what type of battery it has, and go from there.
  18. Cool, I'll take up your offer. When are you gonna be around on the weekend? TIA
  19. Thanks for that mate, but it seems I will need to continually charge two cars in alternate days. The compact has had AA called to attend to it twice in 3 months. The last incident because the missus turned the radio on for about 10 mins with the engine's off. The 5 complains when I turn the radio on when the engine's not running. It seems that I need to trickle charge both. Or do I?
  20. My cars don't get used often enough and start complaining about low battery output. What kind of charger I can use for BMWs, trickle chargers? Any experience with the stuff from Repco?
  21. I'd say would be Jap import due to the front number plate's housing. Plug in the rego into www.carjam.co.nz to find out where it came from.
  22. Find out whether you have direct or in-direct TPMS. I was told that TPMS will complain a lot more if using non run-flat.
  23. Spoiler Cheapest one I'd seen was around $175 in TM. I'd buy this if I still had the E39.
  24. Tried to insure my Mazda for 3rd party. State quoted $100-ish a year, Tower $85/year. When I complained, State tried to justify the 'additional' benefits, which Tower also has. And I have 5 other insurance policies with State. Will start moving them to Tower, bad things is Tower doesn't have any web quoting system which means I have to actually call them.
