Go to tv2 video on-demand's site for this episode. But I've just been there and it's not up yet.

Rain sensor - it automatically adjusts to the intensity of the rain. Didn't know that (obviously I didn't read the manual). Interior lights which give an overall warm feeling inside the car. Wow.

Always been using Meguiars or Mothers. ALthough I'll stay away from Meguiars NXT wax. For leather protection I used products from LiquidLeather Disappointed with the leather stuff from Mothers.

+1 for very good prices and service. Practically half the price of BMW dealers' for exactly the same parts. And the chocolate, made my son's day when he opened the courier bag. Edited: forgot to mention the chocolate

Nope, still SMG from the picture (of the interior).

You need to go to a BMW dealer. Hopefully with the serial number they'll be able to supply the code. The serial number will be on the towards the back on the body of the radio.

Check the fuse inside the glovebox. I used to pull the fuse out and put it back in again, for front seat-steering wheel, whenever they stopped responding.

FlyBuys travel insurance. Cheapest, when off to Oz last month. No problem when had to claim about 3 years ago.
-
Still is, although this feature can be controlled via iDrive now. For e38/e39, a visit to the dealer is needed to turn on/off this feature.

Why not try sourcing it from wreckers overseas? -
Send it to a BMW dealer for a check-up instead of the (useless) AA check-up.
-
AA. No excess when I signed up with them two years ago. They required an AA inspection done first though (a waste of $120).

Sure hope so. Still I'll still have wash and wax it over the Easter weekend. Engine bay and interior are not up to my standard....

Got a '94 Mazda Familia for my daily drive. Picking it up next Friday, guy going to South Korea (not the place you'd really want to be right now) for diplomatic posting. Will post more pics when it gets home among its German siblings. And no, I'm not going to put any mods on it.
-
I guess it'll turn up at Turners next week. Note to whoever ends up buying the wreck, I'm hoping to score the following LCI's iDrive controller, AUX or IPod input.

Can anyone see the number plate (of the BMW of course). Interested to see how 'new' is that E60.

Emirates' new A380?

Fellas, Read this from AA website, I hope our petition is one of the complaint: AA site

Errr, no it can't. If you have navigation then your DVD slot is where you put in the nav disc. The way to tell whether you have navigation or not? You should have 2 disc slots, wider screen, and voice control. BMW dealer is where you go for aux or ipod. The cost will be around $300 and $600 respectively. There is a DIY for aux install at e60.net, however you will still need programming. Wellington bimmersporters who attended a Jeff Gray presentation last year will be able to tell you the fun that you're going to have with programming a non NZ new E60. Good luck. Welcome, and have you posted your car's pictures?

I have to log in, then after the page comes back, have to click the refresh button and get the data resent. Otherwise when I go to a forum/topic I'll still be seen as a visitor and not a logged in user. Forum software issue. Happens to me all the time, on Vista, W2K, XP with Firefox. I never tried IE and have no intention of using one.

I don't think you should be worried. As I said at the previous post that I've always had good experience with them. I've been using them for the last 10 years/6 cars (including 2 Rovers!). About bad experience, a guy in the office had one of the door of his C320CDI Merc damaged by Wellington Star during servicing!
-
LOL, I always ask them NOT to valet my car as I can do a better job I've always had good experience with them, although it's correct that they are not that "adventurous". Your experience gets me thinking whether the software can drop mine as well.

Well, if it was really 6 officers, 3 patrol cars attending an 'illegal' plate call-out for an hour, it was a waste of tax-payers money regardless whether they were just doing their job or not. Obviously the first two officers weren't doing a very good job if they had to get back-up for something this small. Would you be happy if you call 111 after being robbed and told that the next available unit was tied-up on an 'illegal' plate call-out and would only be able to attend to you in an hour? That's it, back to topic.

The article didn't point out easier ways to spot non-monopolised plates such as having D instead of NZ on the left side of the plates. The excuse for the crackdown doesn't fly with me. Why would crims who couldn't afford to fill up pay $80+ for the 'fake' plates while they can easily steal standard plates from any car in NZ? How hard is it to undo two screws for each front and back plates?
