my bad!! didn't get time to do jack really, had shows at womad so was up there most of the time. Car was parked in the devon hotel car park sat/sun, in view of the rd if you were headin towards town... will pm next time for sure!
  2. dam, nice car. Slightly off topic, (not sure what my car was worth 22 yrs ago), but hard to believe a car that was $188,00.00 16yrs ago is now potentially being sold for 6k???
  3. BLACK DORIS

    Nice save.

just drove back from new plymouth (w'end) and have to say that devon east st has a LOT of great big wide windows on both sides of the street...
  4. Interested, whats the aprox drop? I'm after something around 20-25mm, enough to take away some of the height but retain the stock look. cheers
  5. Hey kiwi.... a guy who just joined y'day was pm'n me about the rims he has on his ride. Neelnaize is his bsprt name. He's got an e38 with 16'' basket dble d's (well they look deep dish to me, but hey i'm still a noob, they mayb standard ) and is lookin to buy another set. He wanted to sell them to me (i explained i have 4 stud, e30), maybe pm him and see what he says...

    Nice save.

+1. The funny thing is that i'd take my ladi out in the car and be telling her to check our car out in the windows!! haha Especially at nite.
  8. What dealers ever quit?!! And especially when they're ahead! maybe one or two have... Prob a big chunk of that cash is from the spring break students!!!
  9. ^^ Cheers bro, will do. Cars booked in at page european for tues morning so should know what overall state she's in by weds. -Slight apprehension. Hope she's not just a pretty face...
  10. ok, cheers! Still wondering why the lights didn't count down to inspection notice but rather went from 'all green' to 'inspection' overnight... anyway, keen to get it looked at anyways as the previous owner had done a few of diy replacements etc and wasn't sure when he'd done certain bit and pieces. thanks again rio
  11. Thanks for the replies people. Will prob get the w'shop to do this servicing but I'm def keen to do the basic fluid changes etc myself next time. Cheers rio
  12. hey, apologies for noob question but, are the center caps for stock alloys? i.e. bottle cap/tops or whtever the hell you call them... If so i'd be keen to get them. Cheers.
  13. Hey, as topic states have just noticed that the inspection light (and little clock symbol) are now on, although there's no other lights i.e. oil, brakes, battery indicating anything specific. 1. I've had the car a few months and it's the first bmer, so wondering if this means everything is now due for a service? I'm happy to have it looked at/sorted, just interested to know what to expect from the workshop when I take car in. 2. I'm keen to check out a couple of places suggested in another thread (powerhaus or page european) as the w'shop I've used nearby is charging 77 p/hr and I'm thinking at that rate I should go and check what a certified s'shop is charging and pay the diff for specialised mechanic... 3. Also, have a couple of shows up in new plymouth on this w'end that I'm keen to drive up for and wondered if it's wise to take the car (aprox a 700+k round trip) up the line before taking it in to be serviced? 4. Lastly could it be a wiring fault? Car def has a few 'characteristics' that I'm not entirely convinced are actual issues (it is a quirky 22yr old). Is it normal for the service lights (green ones on dash), to go from all green to 'inspection' prompt? Thought they slowly counted down to red? Thanks in advance for any advice/help. Rio
  14. slightly off topic, the - QUICK 20 MINS EASY NO DEPOSIT FINANCE AVAILBLE ! made me laugh. Hmm, isn't that the major reason the US/world is in a recession at the mo... On topic, I'm sure I saw a couple of threads with e39 540 cars up for sale today? Good luck.
  15. +1 for the 15's and price thanks, also a quote for the 16's if you can. p.s. apologies for dragin up an old thread... Cheers!
  16. ^^ Cheers bravo. Hmm, will look into that and do a few more online searches re the 16's...
  17. Sorry for noobness, but what would class them as metrics... Would appreciate any advice on what could be a better option/look. I'd read online (incl here) that the 15' bbs are an ideal size for the e30 in terms of look and performance? I'm def feeling the basket weave look as I'm keen to keep car stock with a few subtle/tastfull alterations. Cheers!
  18. Hey, what kind of price would bmsprt members expect to pick up a set of these for? I'm actually after a set of 15' b'weaves but saw these on a TM auction and the seller could be interested in letting them go. Waiting to hear back but interested to know what a reasonable offer would be for the set, assuming they are in fairly good condition. Not sure of the size either guessn they're prob 14's? Cheers in adv. Rio
  19. , yea that was pretty cool. Good thread, I've wondered about these bits n pieces. Keen to save up for the bmw driving/track day (or one like the guys in akl put together toward the end of last year -pukekohe i think) to learn more about driving/handling in general. Sadly the car is still auto at the mo but i'll start practising on getting my left foot sensitivety better in the meantime...
  20. I know little to nothing about m3's, looks like the real thing to me... more a topic starter... ohh and apologies if this has already been discussed.
  21. this may already be round here... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-204693351.htm that is cheap isn't it? this one may have been posted here a few months ago, or it's the 'other' of the two. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-205237195.htm
