that part number comes up with suitable for M50 525i. I went to pickapart today and pulled the radiator from exactly that today (was a non vanos so probably a 91?) and test fitted it in an E30 facelift and it was too wide. didnt have a tape to measure it but does that sound right to you? i dont want to be buying something and finding out it wont work, especially new products

Are there two different E30 M40 radiators?? maybe thats where i went wrong, my one is slightly two narrow for the mounting arms in the E30, its secure though. Does that sound like yours? I have a switchable fan too, thought its hard wired till i cant be bothered poking wires for a switch through

If anyone has an M42 one lying around (e30 or e36) if you could measure the distance between the two feet would be good

what are/were you guys running in your swaps (past or present)? I have a M40 one in mine but it needs to be replaced. was cracked when i put it in, and im not sure if its got worse because its running too much heat/volume etc or just normal. Whats the biggest radiator i can use with a built in expansion tank? Is E36M42 radiator bigger than the M40 one? and if so will it fit E30? Dont want to run the M20 rad as would rather the built in expansion tank. Tried an E34M50 one but its too wide If anyone has another larger option it would be great to hear.

unfortunately the engines are worth more than most of the E30 owners make in a year lol

pretty much anything fits or can be easily made to fit e30. the rear wheel drive, macphersons and the fact it has the length to fit a sttraight six from the factory means it can fit almost anything this side of 12 cylinders

picked up my new E30. Factory Motorsport 318i, one of only seven assembled from the factory like this in new zealand. Will put up a thread soon

depends on how worn the brake pads are really. If they are sweet, just make sure the piston is pushed all the way back in the caliper and should be good. if not then might as well replace the pads while your in there

come to port road drags on the 17th mate. guy im buying my newest E30 off is into the drags and told me there is a Volvo making an appearance with an LS1 in it (pretty sure thats the engine he said it had). aparently its been racing for a few years, but i havent been since i was small enough to sit on my poppas shoulders

not sure if it will apply in this case, but when you switch out filament bulbs for LEDs the warning lights always come on, as the sensor on the dash measures current draw not resistance and/or voltage

hey guys brought an uncracked dash off Oli a year or two ago. has started to show the tinest of cracks in the usual place so i was to get on top of this before its too late. Anyone have a product to put over it to stop the cracking? I already use one of those silver windscreen shields religeously for that reason alone, but the car still gets hot outside being black with blacked windows. UV light is not the issue as my tint blocks out 98% of it (apparently anyway), i think its just heat thats doing it? only time the dash is in the sun is when im driving which there hasnt been much of the last 9 months or so, and wasnt there when i pulled the car off the road back then do not want a carpet dash mat. they are horrid imo

make you a deal. ill pay for your ebay bypass clip and install it in your car. your part of the deal is you drive the car with your son/daughter/nephiew/grandkid into a solid brick wall at north of 50kmh and if they dont break thier neck and/or die, youve proven your point. however untill you accept the deal, id rather rely on the manufacturers recomendations of having the airbag in working order, and the NCAP and such tests to back them up ibtl
